Forget the colourful and playful Wonderland described by Lewis Carroll in his famous novels, enter instead into a world where fantasy and reality, life and death, joy and sadness find themselves entangled. An adult Alice remembers her childhood, in a fairy tale for adults where a realistic style is preferred to the fantastic one. The actors were asked during rehearsal to put into black and white some significant experiences related to their childhood and then play them on stage. Чеховские «Три сестры» возвращаются в репертуар петербургского Большого драматического театра спустя более полувека после легендарной постановки Георгия Товстоногова. Герои пьесы жили мечтой уехать в Москву, а новую постановку осуществила команда, приглашённая из столицы. Сохранив авторский текст и аутентичность костюмов, режиссёр Владимир Панков создал спектакль на пересечении музыки, драматургии и хореографии в им же самим изобретённом жанре саунд-драмы. За разнообразие музыкального материала и многоплановость смыслов критики уже назвали эту постановку «полифонической».
Режиссер Владимир Панков не боится, что его постановку будут сравнивать и с товстоноговской, где играли Юрский, Лавров, Копелян, Басилашвили, Доронина. И с идущими в Москве спектаклями Галины Волчек и Андрея Кончаловского. «Сравнения - это прекрасно, пускай сравнивают!» - говорит он.
Ему, театральному экспериментатору, есть, чем удивить публику. У него в спектакле не три сестры, а шесть. Машу, Ольгу и Ирину, каждую из них, играют сразу две актрисы. Одна - в возрасте чеховской героини - ищет смысл жизни и пути к счастью, вторая - тут же рядом - как бы оценивает прожитую жизнь. Такое «раздвоение личности» актрисам играть сложно, но интересно.
По мнению авторов постановки, этот режиссерский ход абсолютно не противоречит Чехову. Владимир Панков уверен, что Время - тоже действующее лицо. Оно существует в пьесе где-то между строк.
«В спектакле очень важно время. У Чехова, особенно в «Трех сестрах», это, как стихии, четыре времени года, четыре направления, 4 жанра. Когда посмотрите спектакль, вы увидите, что первое действие - это водевиль, второе действие - это мистерия, третье действие - это драма, четвертое - это трагедия», - уточняет Владимир Панков.
И все эти человеческих перипетии разворачиваются на фоне одних и тех же декораций. Вокзал - для художника-постановщика - метафора всей нашей жизни.
Дополняет концепцию постановки и музыка. Струнные, духовые или ударные. В этой «полифонии человеческой жизни» у каждого персонажа - свой инструмент и своя партия.

Умер Сергей Юрский - ощущение от этой утраты, как от смерти близкого человека. Юрский вошел в нашу жизнь прочно и делал ее ярче - интонация, роли, стихи, читая которые он раскрывал удивительно по-новому, казалось бы, хрестоматийные строки.
Без костюмов и декораций он мог один сыграть яркий спектакль. При этом никогда не стремился устроить шоу - он и слово-то это модное не любил. Театр для Сергея Юрского всегда был очень откровенным, почти сакральным разговором со зрителем.
Сергей Юрский, народный артист: Для того чтобы человек остался самим собой, благодаря тому, во что он вошел и заглянул вглубь себя. Это театр.
Когда-то он и сам смог заглянуть в себя и разглядеть, как потом оказалось, призвание. Ушел с третьего курса юридического факультета и поступил в театральный институт. Уже через два года еще студентом принят Товстоноговым в труппу БДТ. На этой легендарной сцене Сергей Юрский был и Мольером, и королем Генрихом, и Чацким.
Андрей Могучий, художественный руководитель Большого драматического театра им. Товстоногова: В Японии есть такая традиция - присваивать такого ранга артистам звание национального достояния. Я думаю, что Юрский как раз находится в этой когорте. Это наше национальное достояние.
В конце 70-х - переезд в Москву. Больше 40 лет Сергей Юрский служил в Театре имени Моссовета. Коллеги говорят, что учились у него на каждой репетиции.
Александр Голобородько, народный артист РСФСР: Он был классный. Самое главное. Почему он был великий? Никогда не задавался. Он понимал кто он, но никогда не было: я гений, я великий. В нем этого не было ни капли.
Пушкин - один из любимых поэтов Сергея Юрского. И ушли они в один день - с разницей, правда, почти в 200 лет. Сегодня кто-то заметил - сопоставимые утраты. И незаменимые, конечно, есть.
