Juillet 2010 : Le sculpteur norvégien Vigeland a réalisé seul, durant toute sa vie, un ensemble très organisé comptant 214 sculptures dans un parc qui porte aujourd'hui son nom. Les représentations de bébé, les poses dynamiques de nombreux personnages, et les empilements de morts en font une œuvre originale, qui vaut à elle seule le voyage. L'hôtel de ville symbolise aussi le dynamisme, le courage et le sens du devoir propre à la culture norvégienne. Les nombreuses salles et galeries qu'il renferme sont exceptionnelles par leur ampleurs et la taille des fresques qui les décorent.

Have you ever been in Oslo to see the Children's Parade on 17 May, the Norwegian Constitution Day? If so, you have probably watched the parade standing somewhere along the route. Or maybe you have never experienced this unique celebration of democracy? Now you can experience the entire parade route from start to finish, seeing it from a very different angle - that is, how it is to be part of the parade itself. Romsås Janitsjar simply filmed all of it - from the starting point at the Fortress Square (Akershus), via the main street (Karl Johans gate / King Charles John's Street), past Parliament (Stortinget) and the University of Oslo, up to the Palace Square to greet the royal Family, and finally ending up at the sea front outside the City Hall. You can decide if you want to see the entire parade, or enter at a certain stage Enjoy!

Prime Minister Gerhardsen, with Mr. Hambro await in park for arrival of Crown Prince Olav, who arrives with Prince Harald. Military bands playing & choir singing. Afterwards, Town Council & guests march through streets to Salvador Cathedral. Service at cathedral attended by King Haakon VII & royal household. Procession of all Oslo's priests. Opening of the New Town Council House, several shots, various services present. Various VIPs of other countries present. King welcomed by the Mayor. Various shots of decorated streets. Few roof shots including the palace. Children's procession through streets. Each school had its own band. At Palace, kids procession passes, the King, Crown Princes & Crown Princess watching. Various shots of the procession with enormous crowds looking on.

G. Thomas, alias Gunnar Thommesen originally from Bodø , originally started his career as a country singer in the United States in 1979. It was during schooling over there, he got eyes and vote up for country music. His first solo performance was at a bar in Park City, Utah, called the CLAIMJUMPER where he played for tips and went by the name The Norwegian Cowboy. On several occasions in recent years, he has been back in the United States and acted as guest artist in states such as Utah, California, Louisiana, Tennessee (Nashville), Colorado, Montana, Kentucky and Pasadena, Texas, where he also sang at Gilley's Club (En once the world's largest honky tonk bar).

In 2017, G.Thomas celebrated his 35th birthday and released his 11th solo album in May 2014 - Hey Hey Hey Good Morning. Everyone sounds signed G. Thomas himself and his co-writers. The record has received very good criticism from the media and the audience. This was his 11th Solo album.
With more than 35 years of experience as a touring Country artist, he is today one of the most experienced artists in his genre in Norway.
Born and raised in Bodø, but resides in Froland outside Arendal, where he has his base, writes songs and practices new song material for upcoming records and concert projects.
He is also the managing director of his own concert agency where he arranges / books concerts and works with various events around the country.
G. Thomas is described as a very faithful outlaw country artist with roots in trad country.
He is also an active live artist who makes acoustic performances at events / pubs for concerts at festivals, fairs etc with his talented musicians. Works with his own 4-man band, but also in smaller acoustic settings.
Also working in the project The European Highwaymen, which released its critic praised CD - SPINNING in 2013. The band also runs the cultural house project Who`s Gonna fill their shoes - A Country Music story.
G. Thomas is also currently working on the projects ¨From Hank to Waylon¨ An Outlaws country story along with Hawk Christensen, Classic Country Nights and Country Gospel Nights.

Merkel welcomes Norwegian royals to Germany
Norwegian Prince and Princess welcomed by German Chancellor. As a rare occasion and special sign of the warm ties between their countries, German Chancellor Angela Merkel personally received invited royal guests Norwegian Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit in her home state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. After their welcome by local residents in Stralsund, they signed the Golden Book of the City for guests at the Town Hall. His Royal Highness the Crown Prince then made a speech in German and also thanked the Chancellor for her invitation. The Chancellor and her royal guests then toured St. Nikolai Church and visited the seaside resort Binz, famed for its natural scenic views.
We wish Your Royal Highnesses the Crown Prince and Princess a delightful stay and a safe journey back home. May the people of your countries continue to enjoy abundant shared hospitality and friendship.
