We met with historian Cormac O Comhraí to find out the history of the Town Hall Theatre Galway

The building has a rich history linked to the history of the city of Galway and also to the history of the Irish state.

The ISL performance of The Country Girls
The Country Girls tells the story of two friends who move from rural Ireland t Dublin in search of life and love in the big city.
Set in the repressive Ireland of the 1950's it follows the friendship and experiences of Kate & Baba as they find their own way in the world.

Shay Mouse lives peacefully in Bornacoola Wood in Longford, smoking his pipe and inventing boastful stories for young Tom Pat Badger and Mickey Slug. When an evil band of rats are burnt out of a barn in Mullingar, they take over the wood, making the small animals their slaves. A disgraced Shay Mouse is forced to flee his home and embark on a wonderful adventure across the Irish midlands. The Adventures of Shay Mouse is a classic story for children by one of Ireland's finest novelists, Patrick McCabe.

Incantata to Premiere at #GIAF18
GIAF's Artistic Director Paul Fahy caught up with theatre director Sam Yates and actor Stanley Townsend ahead of the world premiere of Incantata, an exciting co-production between Galway International Arts Festival and Jen Coppinger.
