Inspired and created in 2014, this quintessential beach house is built to exacting standards while strikingly capturing the essence of the coastal lifestyle. Today's modern living aesthetics of high ceilings and Crestron lighting, Brazilian tigerwood flooring, terrazzo and travertine tile, all complement each other to create a casual and beautiful environment. The chef's kitchen with a Dacor six-burner range, Miele refrigeration and wine cooler is completed by the exquisite Mojave granite island and custom cabinetry. The sumptuous master suite, with a two-sided gas fireplace, has three distinct spaces: the bedroom, the sitting room and the 400-square-foot veranda. All three spaces enjoy expansive views of the azure waters of the Gulf of Mexico. A further veranda approximating 450 square feet, accessed from the living space, and 900-square-foot covered terrace enable one to harmonize with nature and really enjoy this lovely beachfront pool home. Best Beaches in Florida Fort Walton Beach
An Inside Guide to Destin and Fort Walton Beach
Pack Your Tackle for a Trip to Destin, a Bountiful Billfish Capital
Sand just doesn't get much whiter than it is in the Destin and Fort Walton Beach area, and that's only the beginning of what's so special about this well-loved band of Gulf of Mexico beachfront dubbed the Emerald Coast.
The water is bright green, the dunes are lofty, the fish are plentiful, and the excitement doesn't quit. For families, for lovers, for anyone, this is the superlative in Florida beach vacationing. Book a room in a beachfront bed and breakfast, a marina motel, a rental condo, or a name-brand hotel. Then grab your fishing pole.
Destin earns its name as the World's Luckiest Fishing Village by virtue of its famed emerald Gulf shore - deep and inshore waters that hold enough sailfish, grouper, mackerel, cobia and wahoo to inspire an extensive fleet of fishing charters, a bevy of tournaments (including the October-long Fishing Rodeo), and a glorious selection of seafood restaurants. With the speediest deep-water access to the Gulf, Destin claims more billfish catches annually than any other Gulf port and up to four times more fish species than most other destinations.
In addition to fishing, tour and glass-bottom boats take you sightseeing, snorkeling, diving, sailing, spotting dolphins and more. You will find them lined up along the harbor in front of seafood restaurants heavy on character, light on the budget.
Turn the kids lose on the beach at Henderson Beach State Park or James W. Lee Park at the eastern end of town, off main drag Highway 98. The luxurious softness and incredible whiteness of the sand make these beaches stand out. They are created from pulverized quartz washed, buffeted and delivered by river sweep all the way from the Appalachian Mountains. The sand's quartz origins contribute to the sparkling brightness and to the way it squeaks when you walk on it. And there's no better sand to walk on; it has a way of caressing your feet and getting between your toes. And into your blood.
When the kids have turned the right shade of pink, head to one of the amusement parks that further the region's reputation among families. Big Kahuna's Water & Adventure Park will grab their attention, and it's perfect for day and night play with its shipwreck-themed water park, miniature golf, go-karts, food concessions, and other kiddie rides and adrenaline attractions. For grown-up fun, there are highly acclaimed golf courses for all levels of expertise.
The Destin Bridge crosses East Pass to Fort Walton Beach, an older beach community with lots of affordable resorts and family pastimes. To get between Destin and Fort Walton Beach, you pass through one section of Gulf Islands National Seashore, a dramatic landscape of drifted blinding white sand that often puts northern visitors in mind of snow. On the Seashore's bay side, a public access makes a popular recreational spot for boaters, water-skiiers, waverunners and parasailers.
Beach shops, lively bars, go-kart tracks, batting cages, amusement parks, watersports concessions and beach accesses line the beach's main drag on Fort Walton Beach's Okaloosa Island. The Boardwalk is an energetic center of activity with restaurants, clubs, the town's fishing pier, beach volleyball and the classic Florida's Gulfarium, entertaining families with flipping dolphins and comical seals since 1955. The island road ends at the entrance to Eglin Air Force Base, inaccessible to civilians.
On the mainland, separated from the island by the wide and beautiful Choctawhatchee Bay, Fort Walton Beach's livelihood as a military town becomes more evident, especially at U.S. Air Force Armament Museum - all about weapons and aerial fighting machines. Downtown comprises a few square blocks along the bayfront with perky little shops, a hometown park, a 17-foot-tall Indian mound and accompanying museum, and the Emerald Coast Science Center, a hands-on haven for kids.
In addition to annual fishing contests, the Destin and Fort Walton Beach area hosts more than 100 festivals each year, many focused on relishing seafood. The annual Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival in June celebrates the swashbuckling past of Fort Walton's top beaches. The spring and summer months are liveliest along the Emerald Coast, one of the South's favorite family playgrounds, where the days are as carefree as a childhood memory.
This was a business trip for me. Moreover, I manages to have some fun at one of Floridas top beaches. Fort Walton Beach, FL. I met some new friends there and I had a ball. I body borded until the sun went down. It is a highlight to see the sun go down at dusk. People actually stop what they are doing and run out to see the fantastic spectacle. Words can't describe the site. Fort Walton Beach truly has sugar white sands. This beach is for all who enjoy the outdoors.

4K City Walks: Fort Collins, Colorado Walking Tour - Virtual Walk Treadmill Scenery City guide
The walking video 4K City Walks: Fort Collins, Colorado Walking Tour - Virtual Walk Treadmill Scenery City guide explores the downtown area of Fort Collins, CO. The town surprised me a bit. I’d stayed at a hotel out by the highway but didn’t remember coming into the town center. The old buildings and small town feel really charmed me. I walked around the pedestrian area, past bars, coffee shops, and restaurants, and made my way out to the New Belgium Brewery, famous for its pioneering of micro brews. I crossed the Cache de la Poudre River on a fine fall afternoon before heading back through downtown and into a residential area with lovely old homes. I’d hoped to have a chance to tour around the University but I’ll have to save that for next time. Let me know our personal connections to Ft Collins in the comments below.
This Fort Collins, CO walking tour video was filmed on a DJI Osmo Pocket.

Wikipedia:
Fort Collins is a municipality in northern Colorado, which serves as the seat of Larimer County. Situated on the Cache La Poudre River along the Colorado Front Range, Fort Collins is located 56 mi (90 km) north of the Colorado State Capitol in Denver. With a 2018 estimated population of 167,830, it is the fourth most populous city in Colorado after Denver, Colorado Springs, and Aurora. Fort Collins is a midsize college city, home to Colorado State University and Front Range Community College's Larimer campus.
Fort Collins was founded as a military outpost of the United States Army in 1864. It succeeded a previous encampment, known as Camp Collins, on the Cache La Poudre River, near what is known today as Laporte. Camp Collins was erected during the Indian wars of the mid-1860s to protect the Overland mail route that had been recently relocated through the region. Travelers crossing the county on the Overland Trail would camp there, but a flood destroyed the camp in June 1864. Afterward, the commander of the fort wrote to the commandant of Fort Laramie in southeast Wyoming, Colonel William O. Collins, suggesting that a site several miles farther down the river would make a good location for the fort. The post was manned originally by two companies of the 11th Ohio Volunteer Cavalry and never had walls.
Settlers began arriving in the vicinity of the fort nearly immediately. The fort was decommissioned in 1867. The original fort site is now adjacent to the present historic Old Town portion of the city. The first school and church opened in 1866, and the town was platted in 1867. The civilian population of Fort Collins, led by local businessman Joseph Mason, led an effort to relocate the county seat to Fort Collins from LaPorte, and they were successful in 1868.
The city's first population boom came in 1872, with the establishment of an agricultural colony. Hundreds of settlers arrived, developing lots just south of the original Old Town. Tension between new settlers and earlier inhabitants led to political divisions in the new town, which was incorporated in 1873. Although the Colorado Agricultural College was founded in 1870, the first classes were held in 1879.

Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park
Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Recreation Area occupies approximately the southern third of the island of Key Biscayne, at coordinates 25°40′25″N 80°09′34″W. The park includes the Cape Florida Light, the oldest standing structure in Greater Miami. In 2005 the park was ranked as having the 8th best beach in the country, and in 2013 Forbes ranked it at 7th.
The park is named in honor of Bill Baggs, editor of The Miami News from 1957 until his death in 1969. He worked to protect the land from development, to preserve some of the key in its natural state, and was also a civil rights activist.
In 2004 a large historical marker was erected at the site to mark it as part of the National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom Trail, as hundreds of Black Seminoles, many fugitive slaves, escaped from here to freedom in the Bahamas, settling mostly on Andros Island. In the early 1820s, some 300 American slaves reached the Bahamas, aboard 27 sloops and many canoes. The US National Park Service is working with the Bahamas, particularly the African Bahamanian Museum and Research Center (ABAC) in Nassau, to develop interpretive programs at Red Bays, Andros.
The park has more than a mile of sandy Atlantic beachfront, where snorkeling and swimming is possible. Besides the beach and tours of the lighthouse and keeper's quarters, activities include boating, canoeing, kayaking and fishing from the seawall along Biscayne Bay, bicycling, hiking and wildlife viewing. The park has such amenities as picnicking areas and youth camping. It also has a visitor center, a museum with interpretive exhibits and concessions. No Name Harbor, a natural harbor in the park, is used for anchorage.
Florida state parks are open between 8 a.m. and sundown every day of the year (including holidays).
