YAMANASHI JAPAN: Mt. Fuji day tour | Lake Kawaguchi | 5th station
YAMANASHI JAPAN: Mt. Fuji day tour | Lake Kawaguchi | 5th station
Driving by car to Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi. You can get a perfect landscape of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko at Nagasaki Park and Oishi Park. Both are along the north shore of the lake. Mid April you can enjoy the full bloom of cherry blossom (sakura).
Yoshidaguchi 5th Station or Kawaguchiko 5th Station) lies at approximately the halfway point of the Yoshida Trail, which leads from Fujiyoshida Sengen Shrine at the mountain's base to the summit of Mount Fuji. It is the most popular of the four 5th stations on Mount Fuji. It is accessible almost year round, snow conditions permitting, and is a popular sightseeing spot even outside of the climbing season.
At Lake Kawaguchiko you can rent a pedal boat, speed boat and a ferry in which you can enjoy a cruise while viewing Mount Fuji and the wonderful scenery of the town.

Kofu, Yamanashi, Japan, 甲府市 - Canon 80D - Virtual Trip
Kofu is the capital of Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, about an hour and a half west of Tokyo. It is one of the famous cities in the country for its wine, famous even internationally because it has won many awards. The town of Kôfu lies in a deep valley surrounded by the Japanese Alps and the Oku-chichibu mountain range. One of the assets of the city is its proximity to Mount Fuji: the volcano and other peaks are visible from any point cleared or high in the city, which gives it an added cachet!
Kofu is not really a tourist city, in any case few Western tourists stop there. During our visit we mostly saw Chinese tourists, but oddly we never met them outside the hotel. Kofu is actually a good alternative to Mastumoto or other cities to make a stopover between Tokyo and Kyoto.
The story of Kofu is linked to that of the historical figure Takeda Shingen, the famous general of the sixteenth century who worked for the unification of Japan. It is the father of the warrior who founded the city and the whole Takeda clan has ruled over the region since Kofu. The city celebrates its 500th anniversary in 2019. Several monuments in the city pay tribute to this famous family and we find the graves of the family in different places of the city.

Kawaguchiko in Minamitsura district of Yamanashi prefecture%2C K%27s House
Kawaguchiko township is located about 25 kilometers north of Mt. Fuji. The town has a good view of Mt. Fuji.
The trains to Kawaguchiko from Tokyo starts at the Shinjuku station. One or two transfers are required and the trip by train takes about 2.75 hours.
K's House Mt Fuji (hostel) is a highly rated hostel. It has free Wi-Fi if you bring your own computer. Well kept rooms including WC lounge and guest kitchen. I highly recommend this place.
It's located at 6713-108, Funatsu, Fujikawaguchiko-machi, Minamitsuru-gun, Yamanashi, 401-0301. Tel: 555-83-5556.
Good views of the Mt Fuji and wild monkeys are on the north side of the Lake Kawaguchiko.
Here's a link to the interior of Ogino supermarket in Kawaguchiko.
I took the bus leaving Kawaguchiko train station back to Tokyo (Shinagawa train station). The bus is lower priced than the train but takes about 3.5 hours.

EXPLORING KOFU CITY - YAMANASHI PREFECTURE????????
I'm lucky enough to be in Yamanashi Prefecture this week with the government on an official tour! Today I travelled to Kofu City where I had an amazing Soba lunch, followed by a wine tour + tasting at Sadoya Winery. We then headed to Koshuyumekouji which is a cute little shopping street, to try to famous Raisin Sandwich, made from the leftover grapes from the local wineries. We finished up the night with an amazing Kaiseki multi-course dinner at Kasugai Hotel & a relaxing outsoor onsen!

【4K】Walking to Kofu station on a rainy evening. Kofu, Yamanashi.
Not a vlog, no intrusive faces or talking, pure Japan only.
Another walk asked before several times. I decided to find place where it is allowed to fly and still close to the station. Closest was Chiyoda lake.
Lake itself was a bit far for walking, so I tried to fly there, but it was too high through the forest which made drone remote control signal too weak. Then it started raining and I had to get drone back in a hurry. I walked through the suburb while raining was getting stronger. When I got to Kofu station it was already dark but main street was still bright in Christmas lights.
Recently weather is not nice and there is nothing special, so i film not that often.

Japanese MAGLEV Experience - The FASTEST Train in the WORLD at 500km+ per hour! | Yamanashi, Japan
My trip to Japan in January of 2019 was one of the coolest adventures I’ve ever been on. I got to spend twelve incredible days exploring the cities of Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, as well as three of the prefectures, or states, around Tokyo. During that time, I got to see amazing attractions, visit beautiful Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines, and eat some of the most phenomenal food I’ve ever had in my life! I’m excited to share my Japanese adventures with you!
My day in the Yamanashi Prefecture began at the Maglev Exhibition Hall, an incredible center that is dedicated to educating people about the Maglev, which is the fastest train in the world and travels at speeds up to 500km per hour, which is double the speed of the Shinkansen bullet train! When the Maglev line between Tokyo and Osaka opens in 2027, a ride between the two cities will only take 67 minutes even though they’re 313 miles apart!
This train is so cool! From the center’s windows, we could watch Maglev trains speed by in the blink of an eye. They are insanely fast!
We also explored a life-sized model of a Maglev train. They’re so futuristic on the inside they look like a spaceship! It’s a very thin train, with a 2-2 seating arrangement in Economy Class, whereas the Shinkansen bullet trains are 3-2 seaters. The word “Maglev” is an abbreviation of “magnetic levitation,” which describes how the train levitates over its track. Because the train essentially floats, it has to be lightweight, which is why there aren’t as many seats inside.
After I tried (and failed) at getting a good stamp as a souvenir, I visited the Maglev Theatre, which shows a video explaining the advancements in train technology, as well as a simulation that recreates how it feels to ride a Maglev train. I couldn’t film inside, but it shakes and moves and is pretty crazy!
There’s also a diorama, or model, of a Maglev station, and a little car that you can ride in that uses magnetic levitation. It’s so cool! You really feel like you’re floating! There’s also an interactive exhibit where you crank a wheel as fast as you can to get the little train inside to float!
Afterward, I visited the gift shop, where I bought a toy Maglev train for my daughter. They also sell wines, chopsticks, pillows, socks, juices, shampoo, and more!
Then it was time for my next stop, which was the Fuji-Q Highland, an amusement in the town of Fujiyoshida, which is known for its extreme roller coasters, some of which have held world records for the fastest in the world and the steepest drop in the world! From the park, you have an amazing view of Mount Fuji!
The amusement park is huge! There are so many rides, including the roller coasters, as well as the most rotated ride in the world and others such as ferris wheels, carousels, and more.
I was a little scared to ride the roller coaster with the steepest drop in the world! I had to take everything off, take everything out of my pockets, and tape my camera to my arm! The ride was so intense and fast! I’m glad I decided to stow away my camera at the last minute! My new friend Haley from Girls Love Travel didn’t think it was scary, but I was a little scared!
The next roller coaster has the fastest acceleration in the world. Haley was ready, but it was so scary! I was a little dizzy afterward! After that was one that has 14 different loops. It rotates as it goes down the track. They even make you take your shoes off before you get on it because your legs hang off the seat as you ride. It was so amazing! It was exhilarating and my favorite ride of all-time!
Our final ride was the ferris wheel, which we rode at twilight to get some epic views of the park and Mount Fuji. From there, we could see people ice skating. The view was absolutely gorgeous!
Then it was time for a snack! I went with the Samurai Mochi, which has a lot of powder on it. I had it on the bus ride back. It’s a rectangular mochi that comes with a black sugar sauce. Trying it on the bus was a bad idea; I got it all over me!
I hope you enjoyed coming with me to the Maglev Exhibition Hall and Fuji-Q Highland Amusement Park! If you did, please give this video a thumbs up, leave me a comment below, and subscribe to my channel so you don’t miss out on any of my upcoming food and travel content!
