Train Night Market Ratcadha Bangkok - Shopping & Food prices Review #livelovethailand
Train Night Market Ratchada. To start, it's actually open every night of the week and I presume due to its popularity. Take the MRT to the Thailand Cultural Centre and take Exit 3. Walk left when you exit to the street and then the next left side-street which is behind The Esplanade shopping mall.
In this V-log We have a general review about the shopping prices and the food you can eat in this night market.
I hope you will enjoy it.

TRAIN NIGHT MARKET | BANGKOK SHOPPING | BEST OF CHEAP SHOPPING
#nightmarket #bangkokshopping #cheapshopping #bangkok #theexplorerraj
In this Episode i'm taking you to Ratchada Train Night Market in Bangkok which is no ordinary market. Ordinarily we’d say markets are a great way to get a slice of local life and eat authentic foods, but the Ratchada Train Market is much more than that. Not only does it have authenticity, delicious food and fashion in abundance, it’s also incredibly cool; the distinct vintage aesthetic is different and great for photos, whilst the bars nearby are well worth a visit. Its vintage shops offer the chance to pick up rare pieces and trinkets that you’ll struggle to find elsewhere, whilst the low prices and potential for bartering could see you leaving with bags full of bargains.
The market is mainly divided into 3 sections: nearest to the Esplanade Mall area is mainly dedicated to food, the central area of the market has stalls selling various goods and the farthest end of the market is the area where you will find the bars and restaurants.
Things to Buy - Next to the food stalls of Talad Rot Fai Ratchada, there are many stalls selling a variety of items such as antiques, second-hand toys and various retro accessories, as well as more general market type clothes, bags, shoes and electronics.
So come let's explore this market with you.
Location:
Talad Rot Fai Ratchada is located on Ratchadaphisek Rd, just behind Esplanade Shopping Mall. Ratchada Night Market is easily accessible as it's just next to MRT Metro Thai Cultural Center station.

One Night Market In Bangkok!: Street Food at Ratchada Rot Fai Train Night Market
THAI STREET FOOD! YESSSSS! Sounds glorious, doesn't it? Now imagine it at a Night Market where you're surrounded by music and new sights and smells! That was our night eating street food at Ratchada Rot Fai Train Night Market in Bangkok, Thailand!
This is a HUGE Night Market. The biggest we've ever been to, but not the biggest in Bangkok! That honor lies with Srinakarin Rot Fai Market, but this night market is located in the suburbs of Bangkok and therefore pretty out of the way. Ratchada, however, is located in an awesome metropolitan area of Bangkok that was so different from the area our hostel was in. I really recommend going there. Add it and this Night Market to your list of Places To Go/Things To Do, etc. in Bangkok.

Ratchada Train Night Market Bangkok
The Ratchada Train Night Market Bangkok, as known as the new Rot Fai Market in the Ratchada area of Bangkok is bringing the same convivial night bazaar feeling, antique curios, and street food snacks and treats from its original location, into an area of the city that is much easier to access thanks to the nearby Cultural Centre MRT Underground Station.
Although the Srinakarin branch is much larger, it is also way out in the suburbs of Bangkok, making it challenging for people who find themselves on the other side of the city.
This new Train Market is more central and compact, meaning it’s easier to pop in for a spot of browsing anytime from 18:00 to 24:00, Monday to Sunday.

GIANT LOBSTER TOM YUM!! Insane Thai Street Food at Night Market in Bangkok, Thailand!

Talad Rot Fai Ratchada (ตลาดรถไฟรัชดา) - Also known as the train market, is one of the most popular night markets in Bangkok. It’s especially popular on the weekend when a younger crowd flocks to the market to eat the latest Thai street food trends, and hang out with friends.
The train market has in recent months become famous for its giant food - you’ll find a number of giant Thai dishes to try like egg noodles, pork bone soup, and now the massive lobster tom yum - possibly the world’s biggest bowl of tom yum?
Diaw Goong Rot Fai Restaurant (เตี๋ยวกุ้งรถไฟ) - This is the name of the restaurant, and when we ordered they started preparing the lobster.
Giant Lobster Tom Yum (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวต้มยำโครตกุ้งมังกรยักษ์) - They serve it in a basin, like a mini bathtub, not even a bowl. And it’s HUGE. They layer in the fish, squid, mussels, shrimp, and finally a giant lobster goes on top, followed by all the tom yum soup broth. Honestly, the seafood isn’t the freshest or best quality, but you don’t really go to eat a bathtub of seafood for the quality - you go for the insaneness of it.
Price - 2,800 THB ($89.27)
Here are the other Thai street foods we tried on this tour:
Seafood griddle cakes (ขนมครกทะเล)
Price - 60 THB ($1.91)
Green mango crab egg salad (ยำมะม่วงไข่ปูทะเล)
Price - 150 THB ($4.78)
Watermelon shake (แตงโมปั่น)
Price - 60 THB ($1.91)
Thanks again to Ramon for joining me on this Thai street food lobster tom yum food challenge! Again, check out Ramon:

Location on Google Maps:
As in all markets in Bangkok, at the new Rot Fai Market Ratchada bargaining is expected as there is no set price for anything. That being said, as this market is so popular with Thai people prices are lower here than you might find in Chatuchak Market in the north of Bangkok (although genuine antiques and one-off vintage items are rarely cheap).
