Transfer at Bangkok Airport (Suvarnabhumi Airport) - How to walk to a connection flight
This video will show you what it is like to make a transfer to a connecting flight at Bangkok Airport officially called Suvarnabhumi Airport with airport code BKK. We have just arrived at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport on a Thai Airways flight from Copenhagen (this could be any other Thai Airways flight arriving from Europe).
We now have to reach our next Thai Airways connection flight to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Walk with us as we Transfer at Suvarnabhumi Airport from our Arrivals Gate to the Gate of our next flight. This Transfer (some people also call it a transit, although it is actually a Transfer) video will give you an idea of how far the distance is from Gate to Gate at Bangkok Airport. For this connection flight we do pass security (not included in the video) but not Immigration (Passport Control) as we are not entering Thailand.

Transfer at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok - Transfer walk to Connection Flight - Air Travel Video
We are at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) in Bangkok, Thailand. We have just arrived from Helsinki, Finland onboard a Finnair Airbus A340-300. We are onroute (in transit) to Koh Samui Airport and our next step is to walk from the international arrivals to the domestic departures area at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). The footage shows our disembarkation from our Finnair flight and then follows our long transit walk through Bangkok Airport to the domestic departures area where we will be catching a Bangkok Airways flight to Koh Samui Airport (USM).
The transit walk from the international arrivals gate to our domestic departures gate is a long walk (actually a very long walk, especially if you are running late for a flight, or are a person who has walking disabilities). When viewing the footage of our walk through Suvarnabhumi Airport the viewer should be aware that the footage has been edited so that larger sections of the walk to the domestic flights departures area have been cut out, that being said should give an idea of the time and length of the walk. Suvarnabhumi Airport does not have a terminal train shuttle or bus shuttle at this point so we made use of the long escalators through the airport halls. I would imagine that this walk would be very challenging for older people and persons with difficulty to walk (anybody with walking difficulty should arrange for an airport disabled handicap transportation to meet them at their flight). We finally arrived at the domestic departures area where we once again went through a security control and also cleared customs. At this area, apart from our Koh Samui flight, there were many domestic flights departing to many of the well known Thailand holiday destinations such as Krabi, Phuket, Changmai, HatYai etc. Once we had cleared security we where met with a nice drinks and snack bar provided by Bangkok Airways for their passengers. Bangkok Airways who describe themselves as a boutique airline provide this free refreshment stand for all passengers economy or business (this is an extremely nice gesture offered by this airline to its passengers). After a few sandwiches and a coffee it was straight off to the gate where boarding for our Bangkok Airways flight to Koh Samui had begun. The footage ends with us being driven out to our Bangkok Airways Airbus A319 by shuttle bus through the airport taxiways and then boarding the aircraft by an external stairway.

Connection flight at Suvarnabhumi Airport - Bangkok Airport Flight Transfer - Air Travel Video
Catching a Connection flight at Suvarnabhumi Airport. This is what the transfer walk (connection flight) is like at Suvarnabhumi Airport (Bangkok Airport) when you arrive at the airport by plane and have to catch a connection flight. We arrived on A Thai Airways Flight from Kuala Lumpur and had to transfer through the airport to our Thai Airways flight to Copenhagen Denmark.
This Suvarnabhumi Airport Transfer video (Suvarnabhumi Airport is also known as Bangkok International Airport) takes you the viewer on a real time walk through Bangkok Airport beginning at the plane and gate we arrive at to the gate / departure area where our plane departs from. The video includes the entire walk through the airport where Maro leads the way and Maxi comments throughout the video about what is going on. Viewers and future travellers should get an idea of how long it takes to reach a connection flight when you are in Transit at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport and also how far the transit walk can be. As we walk through the airport the viewer is able to see where the Arrivals Area is, the Immigration Area and the Baggage Reclaim area (where they would have to go). Viewers travelling on Domestic flights within Thailand to places such as Koh Samui, Phuket, Changrai etc. are also shown the area where they would pass through Immigration and Security Control before making their way to their Domestic flights within Thailand.
This Suvarnabhumi Airport Transit Walk to a Connection Flight video is filmed at Suvarnabhumi Airport, also called Bangkok International Airport.

Bangkok to Pattaya by Bus Walkthrough - 130 baht - April 2015
Bangkok Airport to Pattaya by Bus Walkthrough - 130 baht - 2015
A step-by-step walkthrough of how to go from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport to Pattaya using the cheap no. 389 bus. Travel time is approximately 2 hours. Buses leave hourly from 07,00 to 22,00. This works out much cheaper than a private taxi and is almost as fast and probably more comfortable.
04 April 2015
Price: 130 baht
Note: On this day of travel there was some bad highway traffic which affected the journey time. The price is variable due to competition with other forms of transport. The last 2 daily departures stop only near Pattaya North Bus Station.
In the video the price of the motorbike taxi ride to Walking Street was 50 baht for the 2km journey from the last stop.
Baht Buses are 10 to 20 baht for ones running in your direction. Otherwise, the waiting baht buses can be negotiated at a price, buddy up with fellow travellers to cut the cost if possible.
Overall verdict: The bus taken was very comfortable with good air conditioning. The sign at the counter was 17,00 for the next bus but I was put on the 16,00 probably because I had no bags. The bus does drop Thai people off early which can eat into the journey time, but hey what do you expect from a cheap bus. As for the Pattaya drop off points be sure which one you need and get ready early, the staff will help you get your bag out of the main compartment.
4:22 pause here to check the Pattaya drop off points clearly on the map.

More info from their website (unedited by bangkok 112):

Then the bus will go straight to our office on Thappraya road.
Travelling Time: Bus take around two hours between Airport and Pattaya.
Fare: Bus fare is 130 THB/Seat.
Baggage: 1. Each customer is allowed to have 1 small personal bag that fits in the overhead compartment (very small space) and 1 normal sized checked baggage with the maximum standard size of 48W-29D-76H in centimeter or 19”W-11”D-30”H with maximum linear dimension of 153 cm. and maximum weight of 20 kg. If the size or the weight is more than the standard limit, you will be subject to oversize or overweight charge.
