The Gem Palace is popular all over the world. The visitors to Jaipur do not leave the city without visiting Gem Palace. It was started by my great, great grandfather. We have been here in this premises for more than 150 years now. So I am the from the sixth generation. Alot of people come here. Not only from abroad but from India also, to buy Kundan-Meena work for which Jaipur is very famous.
Place is fabulous I had to come and see it. I heard so much about it. It represents the nine planets and it has some georgeous anomolly work on the back of the necklace. These are pieces which you would not really be very keen to sell, but we would rather like to keep them here, display for everybody to see. Because those are pieces of art. Jaqualynn Kennedy has bought from here. Prince Charles and Lady Diana admired our jewelery. And the list is endless.
Can you show us the most expensive one, if it is possible for you? That, I won't. I won't. This is the factory of Gem Palace. I would love to buy everything. This is Subhashish Bharuka, showing you Jaipur.

India Travel Guide: The Golden Triangle
India is an irresistible country for travellers from all walks of life. From the incredible food to the ancient ruins to the unique and vibrant culture, India is an unforgettable destination for every kind of traveller. Whether you’re looking for a fast-paced adventure or a laid-back vacation, you’ll find it in India’s Golden Triangle.
The Golden Triangle connects Delhi, the country’s capital; Agra, the regal home of the Taj Mahal; and Jaipur, also known as The Pink City. While the route itself isn’t very long, the sights visitors see will be treasured for a lifetime! After all, they don’t call it Golden for nothing!
Beginning in Delhi, visitors will gape at Mughal-era architecture and history, from ancient forts to incredible monuments to high-tech skyscrapers and shopping centres. Take a ride on a rickshaw, feast on incredible food, and sip chai on a rooftop lounge. The possibilities are as endless as Delhi’s history!
Next, venture to Agra, the storied city home to India’s powerful nobility. One of the most famous buildings in the world, the Taj Mahal, can be found here, welcoming millions of visitors a year. Depending on the time of day you visit, you may discover it tinged pink with the rising sun, or beautiful gold under the moon. You can also stop at other incredible sites leftover from the Mughal empire, such as the Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri.
Finally, end your trip to the Golden Triangle with a visit to Jaipur, or “The Pink City.” Here, you’ll find incredible buildings built with pink sandstone, giving the city an ethereal quality you won’t soon forget. Take a stroll through one of the many traditional shops, and find the perfect antique or handmade souvenir to bring home with you.
A visit to India is always something special, but following the Golden Triangle route means you’ll truly be able to see this amazing country. Whether you’re planning your trip right now, or still in the daydreaming phase, why not head to TourRadar and check out a few Golden Triangle tours for yourself?

Travelling India on Tour: The Golden Triangle with Brian
If you’ve ever dreamt of travelling across India - experiencing the delicious food, the ancient art and architecture, and the beautiful culture - then you’ve probably spent a lot of time imagining what it would be like to see the amazing sights you’ve found online for yourself. Today, join Brian as he explores the Golden Triangle, one of India’s best tour routes, and takes you along with him! If you can’t make it to India just yet, this is the next best thing.
The three points of the Golden Triangle are Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. Over a course of about 720 kilometres, travellers are treated to views of stunning cities, untouched natural beauty, and the full range of India’s landscape. It’s the perfect way to see many parts of India in a shorter amount of time!
Delhi, the national capital of India, has been continuously inhabited from the 6th century BC! An area with that much history has so much to offer travellers, from the ancient to the extremely modern. Visit Humayun’s Tomb, explore The Red Fort, or climb the five stories of Qutb Minar for a view of it all. Delhi is a fast-paced, busy city, but don’t be overwhelmed! Explore at your own pace and you’ll have an amazing time.
Agra is a hugely popular tourist destination, thanks to one main attraction: the iconic Taj Mahal! This 17-hectare complex, including the main tomb, mosque, and a guest house, is the final resting place of Mumtaz Mahal, the favourite wife of Shah Jahan, who reigned from 1628 to 1658. Interestingly, the tomb of the builder, Shah Jahan, is also located on the grounds! Millions of visitors flock to the Taj Mahal every year, and with its white marble splendour, it’s very easy to see why.
Finally, Jaipur rounds out the Golden Triangle. Known as “The Pink City,” the area’s stunning architecture will bring out the shutterbug in you!

Jaipur Tourism | The Pink city | Gopro | Rajasthan | India
Location :
Jaipur is the capital of India’s Rajasthan state. It evokes the royal family that once ruled the region and that, in 1727, founded what is now called the Old City, or “Pink City” for its trademark building color. At the center of its stately street grid (notable in India) stands the opulent, colonnaded City Palace complex. With gardens, courtyards and museums, part of it is still a royal residence.

Travel Jaipur, India - Monkey Temple of Jaipur (Rajasthan)
Take a tour of Monkey Temple of Jaipur in India -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions series by GeoBeats.
Just outside of Jaipur, India is a beautiful place of pilgrimage, the Temple of Galtaji.
This temple is also frequently known as the Monkey Temple because - well, you guessed it.
It is a remarkable place, where the stone of the temple blends with the cliffs.
The pools of the temple are holy and many people come here to bathe.
The water for these pools comes from a system of underground springs and reservoirs.
There are Hindu priests living at the Monkey Temple who pray over and bless the visitors.

Jaisalmer City Guide | India Travel Video in Rajasthan
Join us as we visit Jaisalmer in this city travel guide covering the best things to do and top attractions in the 'Golden City' of Rajasthan, India. Located nearby the Pakistan border and at the doorsteps of the Thar Desert 'The Great Indian Desert' this small sized jewel of a city is a welcome change for those arriving from bustling Delhi, Jodhpur or Jaipur. Jaisalmer Fort is one of the most amazing places I've ever visited in India. As a living fort you'll find a plethora of shops selling souvenirs, restaurants, hotels and Jain temples. You can get lost meandering down narrow alleys and enjoy the best views of the city along the edges of the walls or by having rooftop tea or dinner. You'll also want to budget time to visit the Thar Desert on a camel safari ride where you'll pass by gypsy villages and enjoy local cuisine and tea prepared over a fire. Come find out why Jaisalmer (जैसलमेर) is one of our favorite cities in Rajasthan, India.
Things to do in Jaisalmer Travel Guide:
1) Jaisalmer Fort (जैसलमेर फोर्ट) to shop for souvenirs and wandering around
2) Visiting a Jain Temple in the Thar Desert)
3) Thar Desert (लाइक,कमेंट व सब्सक्राइब करे) experiencing the culture, food and gypsy villages
4) Camel Safari ride in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India visiting the Sam Sand Dunes (1 day, 3 day and week long options)
5) Jain Temples inside the Jaisalmer Fort (जैन धर्म)
6) Jaisalmer Fort Palace Museum & Heritage Center
7) Gadisar Lake (गाडिसर झील) for sunset and a boat ride

Our visit Jaisalmer travel guide documentary covers some of the top attractions including camel safaris in the Thar desert, Jaisalmer Fort by day and night, fascinating Jain temples and the city by day and evening when Jaisalmer comes alive at night. We also cover off-the-beaten-path activities you won't find in a typical Jaisalmer tourism brochure, Jaisalmer city tour or Jaisalmer itinerary.
Jaisalmer City Guide | India Travel Video in Rajasthan Transcript:
After an 18 hour overnight train ride from Delhi, we finally reached Jaisalmer, a city of yellow sandstone that lies in the middle of the Thar Desert. This proved to be my favourite stop of our month long adventure in India; now let me take you on a tour and show you why.
With so much colour all around us, it wasn’t long before we were lured into a shop and found ourselves picking out souvenirs in the form of wall hangings, pillow cases, and a small painting or two. Our luggage gained an extra couple of pounds in this city alone.
But it wasn’t all shopping in Jaisalmer. We also made time to do a bit of sightseeing inside the fort, and one of the main attractions here are the Jain Temples.
Another thing we’d recommend doing in Jaisalmer is having dinner on a rooftop restaurant while the sun sets. There are plenty of restaurants scattered across the city and the views you get as the sun goes down are amazing. We chose one at random and it included a live music performance.
The following day was all about visiting the Thar Desert on an afternoon camel trek. It was a nice change of pace from the city, and we got to enjoy a traditional meal cooked over a campfire.
The next morning we went back to the fort because we just couldn’t stay away. I visited the Jaisalmer Fort Palace Museum & Heritage Center, while Sam and his mom picked up a few additional gifts for family back home.
This is part of our Travel in India video series showcasing Indian food, Indian culture and Indian cuisine.

Traveling in India, Old Delhi - Jaipur - Mumbai
An overview of our experiences traveling on our first trip to India. You'll get a look at Old Delhi, Jaipur and Mumbai.
At the time of this upload Lost & Found was a Tastemade Network partner and had access to the Audio Network library. Most music from there. May 2016.
Watch Old Delhi Wake, see some of her street food. Then learn a bit about decaying architecture with Gabar. See Gali Paratha Wali - home to the best fried bread in Delhi. Explore the silence of Jaipur's Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, Amer Fort and mountain tombs. Finally we spent 2 nights in Mumbai on our way out of the country.
This video is not ABOUT India. It is about traveling in it. Since we shot this - John has been back on a business shoot...
This edit was thought LOST with the death of my old MAC with my old copy of an old version of Final Cut Express. But then Matt Stout came through and converted it into a format I could limp through an edit. Thanks Matt.
