GILI TRAWANGAN, INDONESIA (2019)
The Gili Islands are a group of 3 tiny islands – Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air – in Indonesia, near the coast of northwest Lombok Island. Characterized by sandy beaches fringed with palm trees, they're known for their coral reefs just offshore. On the smallest island of Gili Meno, sea turtles swim at Turtle Point. At Gili Trawangan, the largest island, a sunken ship sits at Wreck Point near Mentigi Beach. You can go to Gili Trawangan from the ferry terminal in Bali Called Sanur. You can get your open water scuba diving certificate here and do many amazing dives. BEST DIVE SHOP IN GILI T - SCALLYWAG DIVERS GILI TRAWANGAN
Hey Guys!
As you guys already know.. diving is one of our most favorite thing to do!
And we had a chance to dive for 3 days in a row with Scallywag Divers in Gili Trawangan!!
We had total 5 dives, all different dive sites.
and every single one of them was so amazing!!
These dives made us really appreciate the small animals in the ocean.
Such as ghost pipefish, Nudibranch, yellow boxfish, popcorn shrimp and so on!
What we really loved about Scallywag Divers was how they actually followed the PADI requirements for pre-dive briefing and post-dive briefing.
Before we even get on boat, we will sit down, and look at a drawn map of our dive sites, and learn about their depth, normal current status, and things to expect.
Post-dive was even better because we will sit down with fish-identification book and go over all the cool fishes we saw, and learn their names.
As we did that each dive, we noticed the big difference in our diving experience, because we actually knew what we were looking at.
It wasn't just a pretty fish or cool looking fish.
We could actually identify them by their names, and how to do underwater hand signals for those fishes, we were so proud of ourselves LOL.
We want to send our huge gratitude to Scallywag Divers Gili Trawangan, and all the crew members who helped us and taught us!!

After getting married, we realized that owning a big house and working at a big company wasn't our definition of success and it certainly wasn’t making us happy.
We realized that we are our happiest when we’re traveling and learning about different cultures, so we decided to follow that passion and go on an adventure around the world. Scuba Diving for the First time Ever in Gili Trawangan! We saw Nemo!
We did a PADI Discover Scuba diving for the first time in the Gili Trawangan with Dive Central Gili! It was an incredible experience. We could not believe how blue the water was! We sea turtles, clownfish (nemos), and learned tons of new lingo!
Our instructor Leesa was so sweet, bubbly, and informative! I kept getting mixed up with the hand signals and she was always patient!

About Us!
If you had told me a year ago that we were going to sell all of our stuff to start backpacking the world, I would have called you a liar. Decisions like the one we made start with an inflection point. A point where you realize that life can never be the same anymore. After a challenging, and painful year in 2017, we decided we needed to go out and live the life we wanted to live, instead of watching it on someone else’s YouTube Channel. We had given everything we had, physically and emotionally, for other’s dreams and were ready to work that hard for ourselves. From rock bottom, Chase for Adventure was born.
The Chase Begins
We moved in with our parents, sold everything we own including our cars, and paid off $70,000 worth of debt. We worked 70hrs/week over the last year trying to save up $15,000 to make our dreams come true. Now, we are travel journalists who showcase the beauty in different cultures and inspire others to chase their dreams through our YouTube Channel and website Chase for Adventure. We want to show others that if they want something bad enough, they’ll figure out how to get it; show people who are struggling that they can make the light at the end of their tunnel. Chase for Adventure is more than just a travel vlog and blog; it’s the chronicles of what it’s like to have a dream and do whatever it takes to attain it.
