St Simons Island Georgia
A tour of St Simon's Island, Georgia. Selected video clips from around the island. I also composed, arranged the music and sounds. If you are interested in visiting St Simon's I hope that the video will give you a taste of what the island offers.
The video camera was a Canon Vixia HF-R72
The movie was produced using Cyberlink PowerDirector 15
The music was recorded/edited using Mixcraft 7. All instruments were done using keyboard and Mixcraft virtual software with the exception of the guitar which was played by myself.
I am still pretty new to doing video and this was my second editing using PowerDirector 15 (which I highly recommend). I know it's not perfect and I've learned a good bit which I'll apply to my next project (possibly a tour of Jekyll Island, Ga).
Please leave any comments or questions and I'll be happy to respond, but please...keep comments family friendly. Thanks for watching.

Christ Church EVP Investigation by LDL Paranormal 12/26/15 St Simons Island,GA
LDL Paranormal Investigated Christ Church in St. Simon's Island, GA 12/26/15 at about 2:00 am EDT. Christ Church has a Graveyard around it and very long paranormal history around it since its founding in 1736. There is legend about a women whose husband used to light a candle at her window, she died and he died and legend has it that you can see her light/candle late at night at the graveside of her..We investigated the Church and recorded the first ever recordings of the cemetary with some really cool EVPS. What we discovered is that maybe some of the Fort Frederica Soldiers might be here as well as some dudes from the plantations with the greatest EVP recordings in LDLTV history with clear- over the air recordings of men saying Snow and Pitch Dark ..on our SONY HD Cameras. LDLParanormal.com
Christ Church is set in tall, mossy grass under towering oak trees. The church grounds include a cemetery. Christ Church, one of the oldest churches in Georgia, was founded on St. Simons Island nearly 70 years after the island was first settled by English colonists. Worship has been continuous since 1736 in Christ Church Parish, established by English colonists at Frederica under General James Oglethorpe.
In February 1736, James Oglethorpe and the first English settlers arrived on St. Simons Island. Shortly thereafter, in March 1736, Reverend Charles Wesley, who also served as Secretary for Indian Affairs and Chaplain to General James Oglethorpe, entered his ministry at Frederica. From 1736-1766, the first religious services on the island were conducted by John Wesley, George Whitfield, and other clergy members of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel. When the Trustees surrendered their charter to the king in 1752, Georgia became a royal colony. It was after the Revolutionary War, in 1808, that Christ Church was founded. Though inspired by such men as John and Charles Wesley, the small St. Simons Island population was prevented by the Revolutionary War and War of 1812, among other factors, from erecting a church building until 1820.
Following a petition for a charter by descendants of early settlers, Christ Church was established by an act of the state legislature in 1808. It is the second oldest Episcopal Church in the diocese of Georgia. Before the actual church was built, people met at their homes. The first church building was constructed in 1820 on the same site where the present church is now located. In 1823, Christ Church of Savannah and Saint Paul Church of Augusta merged together. The first small church building lasted until Union Troops damaged it so badly that members of the church had to have service at their homes once again. The church was rebuilt in 1884.
Auntie Zya: The Captivating Story of “Igbo Landing” in Georgia USA. Made African American
Auntie Zya: The Ibo Landing Story Captivating Story of “Igbo Landing” in St. Simons Islands Georgia USA. Made African American. (READ FULL STORY HERE: )
The quest for Biafra independence has a historical significance for many people in the Eastern part of Nigeria and for the Igbos in particular. The Igbo republicanism and quest for freedom has historical origins dating back to the era of slave trade and colonialism. In Aba in the 50s Igbo women rose in protest against the British colonial administrators’ imposition of taxes. In some of the slave ships taking the Igbo slaves to the new world some of the Igbo slaves rose in protest inside the slave ships. The slave masters had quick solution to such protest, they simply dumped the protesting shackled Igbo slaves overboard into the Atlantic ocean. Some of the slaves even had solutions to their captivity when they reached America, and one of the strongest evidence was the Igbo Landing event which took place in St Simons Island Georgia in the United States in May of 1803. The Igbo slaves were brought to St Simon’s island, and some account indicates that while their captors were away from the scene busy soliciting for buyers for more than 75 slaves, the Igbo slaves had their own solution to their captivity. They had an agreement among themselves that they would never serve the white man in America. They spoke in their native Igbo language what their strategy and solution would be. They, men, women, and Children slaves decide to march back into the ocean and drown themselves rather than serving as slaves to their captors. Everyone of the Igbo slaves agreed and still in their shackles, they marched into the Atlantic ocean and drowned themselves. They left a message behind, that they were brought to America by the Atlantic, and through the Atlantic they will all go back home. Till today the natives of St Simmons Island Georgia say they still hear the strange voices of the Igbo slaves occasionally through the ocean drift winds and currents. Several years ago Igbo Kings and chiefs came all the way from Igboland to pay tribute to these Igbo slaves that perished in Dunbar creek of the coast of St. Simon’s island Ga in accordance to Igbo tradition.
Here are three different accounts of this historical incident for your reading enjoyment one of the stories was published by the Associated Press. Enjoy them!

Let's Drive! Brunswick, Georgia to Jekyll Island GA Road Trip Time Lapse
Here's a drive from Brunswick, Georgia to the Golden Isles town of Jekyll, Island.
From Wikipedia: Jekyll Island is located off the coast of the U.S. state of Georgia, in Glynn County. It is one of the Sea Islands and one of the Golden Isles of Georgia barrier islands. The island is owned by the State of Georgia and run by a self-sustaining, self-governing body.
Long used seasonally by indigenous peoples of the region, beginning in the colonial era, some of its lands became privately owned. A few structures still stand made of tabby, a coastal building material of crushed oyster shells. The island was developed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries for private vacation homes of wealthy American businessmen. It was evacuated during World War II by order of the US government. In 1947 the state of Georgia acquired all the property, for security and preservation.
A popular tourist destination, the island has beaches frequented by vacationers. Guided tours of the Landmark Historic District are available. Bike trails, walks along the beaches and sandbars, and Summer Waves, a water park, are among the active attractions. The historic district features numerous impressive and ambitious buildings from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The island is also full of wildlife, consisting of many different mammals, reptiles, and birds living and breeding in the island's inland marshes.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Hartford is the capital city of Connecticut. It was the seat of Hartford County until Connecticut disbanded county government in 1960. The city is nicknamed the Insurance Capital of the World, as it hosts many insurance company headquarters and is the region's major industry. It is the core city in the Greater Hartford area of Connecticut.
Hartford was founded in 1635 and is among the oldest cities in the United States. It is home to the nation's oldest public art museum (Wadsworth Atheneum), the oldest publicly funded park (Bushnell Park), the oldest continuously published newspaper (the Hartford Courant), and the second-oldest secondary school (Hartford Public High School). It also is home to Trinity College, a private liberal arts college, and the Mark Twain House where the author wrote his most famous works and raised his family, among other historically significant attractions. Mark Twain wrote in 1868, Of all the beautiful towns it has been my fortune to see this is the chief.
Hartford was the richest city in the United States for several decades following the American Civil War. Today, it is one of the poorest cities in the nation, with 3 out of every 10 families living below the poverty threshold. In sharp contrast, the Greater Hartford metropolitan area is ranked 32nd of 318 metropolitan areas in total economic production and 8th out of 280 metropolitan statistical areas in per capita income.Census estimates since the 2010 United States Census have indicated that Hartford is the fourth-largest city in Connecticut, behind the coastal cities of Bridgeport, New Haven, and Stamford.
