This trail is rated as a blue. It starts with a long, wide ladder bridge and ends with some flow and another fun wooden feature. I will usually hit this vs. the end of the Long Trail since I think it's a little more fun and requires less pedaling than the end of Long Trail.

A Coloradical WKND: Shredding Trestle Downhill MTB Park - Banana Peel
My buddy Evan and I made a quick weekend trip to Winter Park, Colorado to ride the Trestle Downhill mountain bike park, and specifically to ride their most advanced trail, Banana Peel: the most dangerous mountain biking trail in the United States. We had a photographer help film us a for the day, and we used GoPro's as well as a drone in the process.
Downhill Mountain Biking in Winter Park Colorado - Yankee Doodle Downhill Trail in 4K
Yankee Doodle Downhill is a section of downhill mountain biking trail in Winter Park Colorado. This is an Intermediate-Advanced level downhill mountain bike trail according to MTB Project, but all of the obstacles are easily walkable. The main obstacles on this trail are a few rock gardens, some root sections, a half-dozen or so tight switchbacks, and a few narrow bridges.
This trail is NOT in the Winter Park Resort bike park (Trestle). This trail is accessible from either Corona Pass (Shuttle Possible), or the XC trail Meadows to Crosstrails to Corona Pass Rd to Yankee Doodle. This area is located in the Idlewild area on the east side of Winter Park behind the Rendezvous center stage.

Trestle Bike Park - Green Horn It trail - Winter Park, CO
The Green Horn It trail at Winter Park is new this year and free to ride. It starts near the top of the Cabriolet and ends at the bottom. It's a great way to get introduced to downhill mountain biking. My 3 year old even did it on his balance bike.
Banana Peel Safety Video
Banana Peel provides a controlled-accessed section of the Trestle® Bike Park for those with exceptional skills who are on top of their game! Banana Peel is located at the top of the Gemini Lift just past upper Bear Arms and includes the largest and most technical features in our bike park. A separate pass is required to access this area.
To obtain a pass for the first time, one must watch a short video and sign an additional waiver.
Banana Peel provides some of the United States' largest and most technically demanding features to those who are willing to take an extra step to increase their awareness of Pro Line trail safety and etiquette.
REMEMBER, everybody that enters this section is required to have their pass with them each time they enter!

My Best Friend John and I went on a Road Trip to hit the World Famous Trestle Bike Park! We primitive tent camped 10+ miles up a dirt road and our reward was the incredible view that you'll see in the aerial shots I captured using a Phantom 1 Quad Rotor. We even had a curious Bear visit our camp over night, he must have smelled the steaks cooking earlier! Thankfully we stored our food and gear properly so we did not have any problems. The entire trip was Incredible!! Looking forward to next year's Downhill Mountain Biking Adventure!

Search and Seizure to Trestle Downhill
Mountain biking Search and Seizure to Trestle Downhill. Search and Seizure is a fast and rowdy little black diamond trail with enough excitement to keep you on your toes. We inadvertently made our way to Trestle Downhill, a double black, and arguably the most difficult trail at Trestle. MTB Project states Trestle Downhill is for experts only (I am certainly no expert) so we vacated this trail and connected to something a little less terrifying for the remainder of our descent. Maybe next time!
