THAILAND SHOPPING VLOG: MAYA Lifestyle Shopping Center And The TRIBAL Museum
THAILAND SHOPPING - Started to explore Chiang Mai tribal museum but got lost in a giant shopping mall and just ended up shopping. It was a weird one.
I spent 3 months backpacking through South East Asia. The countries I visited were Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand. I would say these videos show how you can do Southeast Asia on a shoestring as we went to very budget friendly places. This video is a mixture between a backpacking vlog and a street walking video. I like to show what it’s REALLY like in the places I visit.

Hmong HillTribe Lodge in the Village | Chiang Mai, Thailand
Doi Pui Hmong Tribal Village is located on Doi Suthep, a 1676 meter high mountain that is the focal point of Doi Suthep and Doi Pui National Park. The village is about 4 kilometers away from Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep and despite being a key tourist attraction, and therefore probably not as authentic as it could be, it still offers an insight into how Thailand tribes live. The villagers wear traditional Hmong clothes, sell traditional Hmong handicrafts, and live in traditional Hmong-style homes. However, those looking for a less contrived view of the Hmong may have to go deeper into Chiang Mai! Worth a visit if you have the time. A visit to the Tribal Village is often combined with a visit to Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep and some of the waterfalls in the area, as well as a jaunt to the Hilltribes Museum.
In the village is the small house arranged as a museum displaying hill tribe clothes, plantation tools, kitcheners, and opium-producing equipment. Upon the hill above the village is an attractive garden abundant with beautiful flowers planting. Along the walkway through the village is plenty of handicraft shop with a variety of hill tribe products including clothes, hats, caps, bags, belts, and accessories. The entrance to Hmong Doi Pui Village is filled with numerous shops selling intricate Hmong crafts including silver, textiles, and gemstones as well as locally grown season fruit, winter flowers, and the famous oolong tea.

Who Says Chiang Mai Doesn't Have Any Good Parks? Lanna Rama 9 Park
Chiang Mai is a great city with many wonderful things to see and do, as well as great weather (most of the time) and great food. However, it is lacking in really good city parks. In this video we look at one of the nicer parks on the outskirts of the city, Lanna Rama 9 Park. This park is on land owned by the Army, and is named in tribute to the late king, His Majesty Bhumiphol Adunyadet. The park is quite beautiful, with artworks, water features, topiaries, and flowering plants. There is exercise equipment, running tracks and a playground. Adjacent to the park are horse riding stables, a shooting range, and a golf course. Behind the park is a small lake with small restaurants around the edges, There is also a museum on the lake. The museum covers the Hill Tribes of Northern Thailand. The exhibits are drab and dreary and at least 50 years out of date. They give no real insight into the lives of modern members of the various hill tribes. While the museum isn't recommended, the views around the museum are very pretty and it should be visited for that reason.
