Sandwiching in History: Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Little Rock, Arkansas
Trinity Episcopal Cathedral is one of the oldest cathedral churches in the United States; it is older than the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., or the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City. The word, “cathedral,” comes from the word, “cathedra’” meaning the chair or seat of authority of the Episcopal bishop of Arkansas. It was completed in three stages: the Bell Tower, Baptistery, and Nave in 1884; the North and South Transepts between 1888 and 1889; and the Chancel with the Great Choir and Sanctuary between 1890 and 1892.

Trinity Episcopal Church - Michigan City, IN
Trinity Church is an Anglican parish in the Episcopal
Diocese of Northern Indiana. The church is a regional center of
traditional worship, drawing members from a five-county area of
Indiana and Michigan. Founded in 1834, Trinity Church is the oldest
continuous community of Christian worship in Northwest Indiana. The
Romanesque Revival style church was built in 1889. One of the original
features of the church that we continue to enjoy at Trinity Church is
the educational stained glass windows surrounding three sides of the
nave. The north windows display scenes from the New Testament and the
south contain the Old Testament illustrations while the large west
facing arch depicts the Baptism of Christ over the main entry.
The 60 years from about 1870 to 1930 were the high point for stained
glass in the U.S. Glass with bold, deep colors is typical of the 1880s
and 1890s, along with jewels, drapery glass, rippled glass and
opalescent glass. Opalescent glass is translucent, with variegated
colors resulting from internally refracted light. It features milky
colored streaks and shimmers similar to mother-of-pearl. All of these
features can be found in the windows of Trinity Church dating from
1889.

Church Restoration GroupTrinity Cathedral_Miami FL
Trinity Episcopal Cathedral is reportedly the oldest church in the original city limits of Miami. Constructed in 1925, Architect Harold Mundy combined Romanesque, Byzantine and Italianate architecture to capture a Mediterranean look. The Cathedral is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Church Restoration Group (CRG) first worked with the church leaders to mitigate and repair significant damages caused to the church's roof and interior by Hurricane Wilma. Much of this work was to replace the existing standing seam metal roof CRG and Trinity also worked with Florida's Historic Review Commission to confirm that all work was performed in accordance with the state's historic guidelines.
CRG's next step was to create a Master Plan Study for the Cathedral to address significant renovations needed to meet the City's recertification requirement for buildings over 40 years old. Following acceptance of the Study and completion of a capital campaign, CRG embarked on a two year, $7 million major restoration project to carefully restore this significantly historic building. The work included: - Replacing the entire electrical service & systems - Restoring the structural & ornamental concrete work - Restoring the ornamental plaster work - Rescuing & restoring the stained glass windows - Removal of the altar & chancel floors & walls to install extensive new concrete support systems - Re-support the floors of the Nave & side aisle by pressure grouting - Fabricate & install impact resistant window frames and glass - Restoration & reinstallation of the marble floors and walls - Upgrade the entire HVAC & Plumbing systems - Install enhanced interior & exterior lighting - Install new fire alarm & security system - Complete cosmetic repairs & painting to the interior & exterior

Sunny Miami
It is not only a year-round sea resort, chosen by celebrities from the first half of the 20th century, but also a key economic center of the United States, which plays an important role in international trade. The main tourist area of the city is Miami Beach, located on the Atlantic coast. It is here that the beaches, hotels, entertainment, pedestrian promenades, restaurants and night clubs are concentrated.
In the distant 1980-90s. vacation in Miami Beach was something unattainable for residents of other continents, but the situation has changed. Now any tourist can pick up a suitable hotel and go to the magnificent beaches of Florida to sunbathe, enjoy evening walks on the Miami Beach Boardwalk and enjoy the unique atmosphere of Winwood and Little Havana.

About St. Peter & St. Paul National Episcopal Cathedral:
Washington National Cathedral, whose official name is the Cathedral Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, is a cathedral of the Episcopal Church located in Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States. It is of neogothic design, and it is the sixth largest cathedral in the world, the second largest in the United States, and the fourth tallest structure in Washington, D.C.
The cathedral is the seat of both the presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church and its bishop of the Diocese of Washington, composed of the District of Columbia and the Charles, Montgomery, Prince George's, and St. Mary's counties in Maryland. It is an associate member of the Washington Theological Consortium.
The Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation, under the leadership of the nine Bishops of Washington, erected the cathedral under a charter passed by the United States Congress on January 6, 1893. Construction began on September 29, 1907, when the foundation stone was laid in the presence of President Theodore Roosevelt and a crowd of more than 20,000. Construction lasted 83 years. The last finial was placed in the presence of President George H. W. Bush in 1990. The foundation operates and funds the cathedral, which does not receive government funding.
The cathedral is located at Massachusetts and Wisconsin Avenues in the northwest quadrant of Washington. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2007, it was ranked third on the List of America's Favorite Architecture by the American Institute of Architects.
