BEST thing to do in Arizona- HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE and BUCKET LIST experience
This video is sponsored by Rainbow Ryders. I was invited by Rainbow Ryders in Phoenix, AZ to show you the amazing hot air balloon ride adventures that they offer to guests in the southwest United States!
We woke up at 3:45 AM and drove to the Phoenix office, where we were greeted by the kindest and most knowledgeable balloon pilots. We were whisked away to our inflation site, and we were treated to a beautiful Arizona sunrise and tour of the desert.
Our pilot, Chad, was very knowledgable about desert life and scenery. We learned so much about saguaro cacti and the wildlife in the Arizona desert! Chad even had a selfie stick, bubbles, and other fun props for us to take pictures with and to further enhance our experience.
After we landed, we were treated to a champagne toast with a limited edition anniversary champagne flute that we were allowed to keep as a souvenir. Chad taught us about the history of a champagne toast after a hot air balloon landing and how it prevented locals from attacking balloons in fear that they were flying because of witchcraft. But the fun didn't stop when we landed!
We were taken back to the office and treated to prickly pear mimosas and a delicious breakfast. Chad even printed out certificates celebrating our balloon experience. Rainbow Ryders made every effort to treat us like royalty. I've done a lot of really cool things in my life, but the customer service and overall experience of this adventure made this my favorite excursion I've done in my life!

Cut Throat Hot Air Balloon Rides above Carefree Highway, Phoenix, Arizona, 30 December 2019, GX051212, Desert Lake Tank,
You get mainly tourists?
Okay to your West.
A lot. Yep.
A lot of the tourists.
So are the prices competitive? Do those people try and compete?
Uh, there's a few. There's a few guys out there that really try and cut throat.
Uh the prices, but
but a
You kind of get a cut throat ride.
And the one guy
All he does is stand there and smoke and cuss the whole flight.
That wouldn't be any fun.
So that's kind of interesting.
Did you hear about that from another passenger?
Oh, we see it all the time.
Yeah.
I didn't see this, but I knew from his crew guy
that a couple weeks ago, he, uh
um he was over, I guess he was doing a flight over your neck of the woods over Mesa or Gilbert somewhere over there
and he got in an argument with some of the passengers out over to the launch field and pulled over to the side of the 60 and put them out.
Hehe.
That's the first I'd ever heard of that happening.
Were the passengers drunk or?
Ah
I'm sure, I'm sure that it was him, his doing.
That's, he's kind of, kind of a, kind of an aggressive guy, yeah.
Saw on some of the Yuma Balloon flights they were touching down in the water, just bumping it, bumping the water.
Oh yeah! Splash and dashes.
How pinpoint can you land?
Uh, pretty close
Once we pick an area out as long as the winds work
We can work the winds and get to a spot pretty close.
Hey, when any of you guys get to New River, let me know.
Hey, Lee, are you over there at the Fry's yet?
Yeah, I'm here.
What you got on winds?
Alright, and this is a real good shot down here
Okay, what do you have for wind direction over there?
Its going west, southwest about 2 maybe
Okay, sounds good. Thanks Lee.
Oh, the wind report over at the Fry's is heading southwest about 2 to 4
Copy.
And sometimes we'll chase out the wildlife here
Got some coyotes or
Javelinas
Uh, you can see a two legged wildlife up there now.
Ah, people hiking
Got a hiker over there.
Oh, he's going pretty fast
Yeah, it's just a guy walking
That I see
yep
Yeah it looks like he's walking but he's moving fast.
Shawn to Taylor, Shawn to Taylor
Hchkk, Dad to Daniel
Hckkk,
Shawn to Taylor
You're not going to get a house on Lemon Street then?
They look like they've got some nice houses like this down there.
Or is this a nicer area?
Yeah a lot of people hike that because that's a blacktop road.
Go up to the Radio Tower, turn around and go back.
Have you ever danced in a balloon before?
Nope.
When we land will there be more than one bump?
Sometimes.
Sometimes there is
Depends on the wind.
Depends on the weather.
Depends on how much he likes the passengers.
Haha ha ha.
So far it seems pretty calm.
Yeah we don't have much wind at all.
Should be a pretty smooth landing, right?
The sky is clearing up a little bit, huh?
Yep, getting a little bit clearer out
Oh, they've got a lot of toys over there.
The slides and the
What's you rather have a basketball court or
a tennis court?
Tennis Court.
Yep, it's really quite and peaceful
People don't realize, we don't have the
and sensation of movement
and very little to no windchill
I expected to be freezing up here but its not bad at all
Like I said we've got the heat of the burner and it's warming up
Might be cooler if there's more wind
I you had a wind chill
It would definitely be cooler for sure
Hal here is that my chase call?
Yes sir.
Alright head over to the new road.
Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone | Hot Air Balloon Ride in New Mexico | Family Travel Vlog 15
When I decided to go on a trip to Gallup, New Mexico I honestly didn't know what to expect. From the incredible landscape to the kindness of the community, Gallup proved to be a hidden gem for travelers in the United States looking for an authentic travel experience.
Not only did I face my fears and step out of my comfort zone by traveling without the family, I also faced my fears trying something I never thought I would do. While I can't say I loved the Hot Air Balloon ride, I am proud that I pushed myself to try it.

Hot Air Balloon Ride, Carefree Highway & Steaming Phoenix, Arizona's Haze, 30 Dec 2019, GX021212
Haha ha ha! Hey, we beat everybody up, it looks like.
Let's see...
It's all normal, Daniel.
It's not normal on the ground.
Up here maybe.
Hehe.
The rules of the sky are different.
Did you bring your parachute along?
I forgot my parachute.
Oh, that's good, that's a beautiful sunrise over there with the Four Peaks and the McDowells are right there in front of us Uh that the sun's going to be coming up over and then in front of the McDowells, that's all Scottsdale And if you guys look down here to the south, The mountains down here to the south you see that mountain in the middle of the valley that looks like a pyramid there
That's the hump of Camelback Mountain The peak of the pyramids, the hump of the camel then if you follow it down to the right, you can see the head So that's where it gets it's name from.
Camelback Mountain.
Does it take a lot of fuel?
Ah, we usually burn about 30 gallon-ish per flight
What kind of fuel is it?
It's propane, just like your barbecue grill.
Have you got your camera? Oh, okay, you're wearing your camera, okay.
Hope you have them hooked on good.
Oh if it falls off, what's the worst
Oh, we've got more.. We'll just lose the pictures
Is that the 8?
That's the 7, This one's the 8, and this one's the 7.
I've got an 8, we take it out and I take it out and put it up sometimes.
It does some pretty weird things on on the Hypersmooth thing I've noticed
I'm still, I just got one a couple months ago and I've honestly only used it a couple times
I'm kind of still getting a feel for it. Trying to download it on the computer... All that kind of stuff.
Wow look at all the
Yeah, that's a Vette.
This is a Vette, down right here.
Things are getting smaller.
You start looking out, you can see the dome of the Cardinal Stadium over here. In Glendale
Wow.
To the right or where?
Yep, over here
To the southwest
Way over
You can see the sun just starting to shine on it
That's way out there
And you've got the sun hitting the White Tanks out there now, the mountains to the west
Isn't that something
Never heard that
The White Tank Mountains
And like I said, we've got Camelback Mountain down here the one we looked at and if you look over more to the right the more jagged peak that's over to the right and that's Piestawa Peak or Squaw Peak
They named it after that first woman killed in the Iraqi War
right
And like I say this is the Carefree Highway right here This is the highway that we came down on
So what's running the other way?
I'm sorry? Yes this is the Carefree
No, this is the Carefree, what's running opposite?
This is the Carefree Highway down right here Way out there you've got the I-17
that's running north and south You've got the 303
That's the Carefree right under us?
That's the Carefree right under us. The town of Carefree is actually this way. If you look back over here This town that runs up the side of the hill directly to the east
uh, then that's Cave Creek
and then the valley over
there on the other side of the hill
then that's Carefree
I get those two mixed up all the time
Cave Creek and Carefree
They're right close though.
You ever get in trouble for landing some place you weren't supposed to be?
Uh, every great now and then.
It's a muddy hole
And why would you land someplace you're not supposed to be?
Because of wind or something?
Sometimes it just happens that way.
Or sometimes you wouldn't know or what?
Oh, like I said, it's just Mother Nature.
Just Mother Nature, huh?
You can see the Granite Pit out there
the big hole in the ground.
And these are the new homes out there by the Granite Pit there.
on that second set of hills out there.
Can you here me? Copy.
Is he talking to you?
Go ahead Taylor.
I got you Taylor.
go ahead
What you got up there?
Practically, pretty much nothing.
I'm up at 3100 feet and climbing
Any wind. Any wind speed.
What do you have for wind up there?
About 1 mile per hour.
You going to get out of the balloon and race it?
Daniel?
I could beat it down.
So how often do you turn on the gas and why?
To keep us going up.
To keep us going up or to keep us level.
It's for you Daniel.
So if you equipment
Hey I can hear you at
could you call me back
Uh, what have you got up there?
I don't have anything
I say right now I'm at 3500
and about 2 to the north, but uh
but I haven't had anymore, that's the fastest I've had so far
So if you had an equipment failure
with the gas or something, you'd have to land
And that's why we have two of everything
Kind of redundancy
So if you guys look down south you can see the city of Downtown Phoenix
you see the haze down there
that's terrible
I don't know what that big building
thatTripUSA in Arizona
This week, we explored our 28th state, Arizona. We camped in Flagstaff, Kingman, and Phoenix and visited Summit Crater, Sedona, Grand Canyon West, the Lowell Observatory, the Hoover Dam and the state capitol in Phoenix. The highlights of the week were a hot air balloon ride over Sedona, a helicopter ride into the Grand Canyon, and snow in Flagstaff. It's a lot colder than we expected in the desert, so we're looking forward to driving to LAX for a fight to Hawaii next week!

Tucson Mountain Park & at sunset (video & pictures) [AZ | 6/9/2015]
Pictures and videos taken at and of Tucson Mountain Park.
I will post the pictures on my Google+ page soon. You can see them in a better quality there as soon as they're online.
Tucson mountain park is located west of Tucson just 6 miles from Interstate 10. The park is a nice place for hiking and offers various scenic views such as you can see in the video (which are probably the most popular ones). If you're there make sure to be in the park at sunset and bring plenty of time to look out for the nicest spot to see the sunset, it's amazing there! :) I could imagine that sunrises are beautiful as well. I hope that someone's gonna try that out, feel free to share your moments :) If you're walking or hiking a little bit at the main/ most popular part of the park you're good with regular shoes. Use caution while walking or hiking there due the the terrain. Leave wildlife alone and leave no trace as you should do it everywhere in the nature. You don't have to pay anything for parking and visiting the park if you're on West Gates Pass Road (the main road through the park) - it's a public park.
I also took a few pictures from the parking lot of Old Tucson (the movie set).

Hot Air Balloon Ride Landing - Sedona Arizona Part 1
I filmed the landing of the hot air balloon ride I took in Sedona Arizona in June 2009. This was my first hot-air balloon trip and it wasn't scary like i thought it would be since I have a fear of heights. I felt very secure and I didn't freak out when I looked down. This is part 1.
My Hot Air Balloon ride over Beautiful letchworth State Park on 4 23 2017
This last Sunday I had an amazing start to my day! I was asked to go on a hot air balloon ride over beautiful Letchworth State Park. My day started early around 6am and I watched the sun peek up above the horizon in the East over the Genesee Valley as we prepared the balloon to be launched from a hillside about a mile from the Park. It was an indescribable experience seeing all the sights of Letchworth from above. We saw all 3 waterfalls, dropped into the canyon and hovered high above the valley to take in the breathtaking view we had from around 2500 feet in the air. The first part of this video is some video footage and the very last part is a slide show. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed shooting it.
