Sue is absolutely the best woman an engineer could be married to! After almost 2 years of travel, I am STILL dragging her to science museums, and she STILL reads all the placards, tries the interactive displays, studies how things work and then discusses them with me during the lunch she made and packed for us! WOW!
This video is a quick one of us visiting the Tulsa Air, Space and Planetarium. We specifically came to Tulsa, OK for the Tulsa National Motor Speedway Nitro Dragster semi-finals, but due to rain, it was cancelled. We came anyway and were pleasantly surprised on how much we love this city. We actually stayed 10 days in Tulsa kicking around.
While biking in near the downtown area, we came across The Gathering Place.” It's a dynamic, interactive, recreational and relaxation public park of enormous scope and vision. We found it while biking and decided to return on foot.
It is a privately funded park that is open to the public, for free. Phase #1 opened in Sept 2018 and cost 70 million of the 430 million dollars actually donated to the parks trust fund. This phase is 66 acres. Phases #2 & #3 are to come, and will increase the final acreage to 100.
The George Kaiser Family Foundation donated 400 million. He took over the Kaiser Oil Company in the 60s and bought the Bank of Oklahoma in the 90s. I love it when people truly spread around the love and fortune they acquired to be enjoyed by the many!

Here is the raw video from a first amendment audit of the Oklahoma Air National Guard base in Tulsa, OK, completed 08/31/17. There will be more video taken from my camcorder uploaded when I can edit it all together. I was alone and decided to go live when I was surrounded by very aggressive and antagonistic officers from the Oklahoma Military Department and MPs from the Air Force. This video doesn't catch the initial contact, which lasted about two minutes and I walked away. Ultimately they approached me a few more times. Each time they were more aggressive and antagonistic. The one following me with his camera phone is Master Sergeant Castleman. The other uniformed MP is Senior Airman Sortet. He was the most level headed of the two. I'm working on getting the names of the officers from the Military Department. They seemed, for the most part, to know their place. They did lie a bit about identifying upon demand. Also, I can't seem to find anything showing they have jurisdiction off of military installations. One claimed they are state police officers, insinuating they have statewide jurisdiction. I can't confirm this.

The severe weather risk for Wednesday in Oklahoma City has been upgraded to moderate. The tornado risk has also increased for the metro between 3 and 6 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued until 11 p.m. for central and southeast Oklahoma.
The moderate risk lies along the I-44 corridor. The upgraded risk means that area is the most likely in the state to see severe weather this afternoon.
Storms will develop between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. today. Storms will become severe very quickly.
Storms today are capable of producing hail to the size of eggs (2 inches) possibly larger. Damaging winds to 70 mph are also possible. Localized flash flooding is possible with longer-lasting storms.
The evening commute could be very slow across central Oklahoma as storms develop.
The last time Oklahoma City was included in a moderate risk for storms was May 31, 2013.

Mayor Dewey Bartlett announced Tuesday that the Tulsa Police Department will immediately have both helicopters available for service.
