#öykügürman , 4 Ağustos 1982 tarihinde istanbul’da doğmuştur. Berk Gürman adında erkek ikiz kardeşi vardır. Müzik eğitimine küçük yaşta başladı. İlkokulu özel Efdal Ana ve İlkokulunda tamamlayan Öykü Gürman, ortaokulu istek Vakfı Acıbadem Lisesi’nde bitirdi. 2001 yılında Pera Güzel Sanatlar Lisesi’nden mezun oldu. Bu süre içinde gerek keman gerekse solist olarak okul konserlerinde aktif roller aldı. 2001 yılında İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi Türk Musikisi Devlet Konservatuarını kazanarak müzik eğitimine keman ve şan dersleri alarak devam etti. Cihat Aşkın’dan özel keman dersleri aldı. Çeşitli flamenco topluluklarında, okul orkestralarında solist olarak birçok performanslar sergiledi. 2007 yılında ikiz kardeşi ile birlikte kendilerinin seslendirdikleri “Evlerinin Önü Boyalı Direk” şarkısının videosu YouTube’da yüklediklerinde milyonlarca insan tarafından tıklandı. 2007 yılında ikiz kardeşi Berk ile kurduğu Öykü ve Berk adlı grup, 201 O yılında dağıldı. Müzik kariyerine yalnız olarak devam eden şarkıcı, televizyon projelerinde oyuncu olarak başlamıştır. Şimdiye dek 4 film ve dizide yer alan Öykü Gürman, son oynadığı ve müziğini de yaptığı dizilerden Sen Anlat Karadeniz’de #asiyekaleli karakterini canlandırdı.

From New York To Istanbul | Karsu Dönmez | TEDxAUCollege
In this talk, Karsu tells about her youth and her journey towards stardom. Despite being denied admissions to a formal music education program at a very prestigious conservatory, she has never given up following her passion for music and performing. She finishes beautifully by singing one of her self-written songs Raise Our Hands showing her support for people living in times of war.
Karsu Dönmez is an inspiring musician who has risen to stardom over the past few years. She performed at TEDxAmsterdam in 2009, she was invited by the Netherlands-American Community Trust to perform at Carnegie Hall, New York and subsequently made her first tour in 2010/11 with her performances at the Concertgebouw selling out. With her Turkish heritage, she has been writing and performing songs both in Turkish and in English, performing all over the world.
