The USS Oklahoma Memorial Ceremony
The USS Oklahoma Memorial Ceremony, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack, took place on December 7, 2016 at the USS Oklahoma Memorial on Ford Island, Oahu, Hawaii.
USS Oklahoma Memorial Ceremony
This ceremony honors and commemorates the loss of the USS Oklahoma (BB-37) and 429 its crew. Filmed on December 7, 2018, the 77th anniversary of the attack.
Oahu: Pearl Harbor National Monument
Called Pu'uloa, meaning long hill, or Wai Momi, literally, water of pearl, by early Hawaiians, Pearl Harbor, so named because of the abundance of pearls once found within its protected waters, is the largest natural harbor in the State of Hawaii and the number one visitor destination on Oahu.
Today, Pearl Harbor remains an active military base, Headquarters of the Pacific Fleet, and a National Historic Landmark that's home to four unique attractions: from the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor that started it all, to the surrender of the Japanese on the deck of the mighty Battleship Missouri, these four historic sites together tell the story of the War in the Pacific, commemorating the accomplishments of a previous generation.
Located on the island of Oahu, The Gathering Place, halfway between Japan and the mainland United States, Pearl Harbor will always be a welcoming place where survivors of the attack can reflect on the events which led to the war and which had such a profound impact on the lives of an entire generation.
To those who fought in the war, to those whose lives were affected by the war, their children, grandchildren, and each succeeding generation, Pearl Harbor is a place where people from far-flung corners of the world can come together in peace to honor the memory of the fallen and to celebrate the ultimate triumph of the human spirit.
National Park Service gives out over 1,300 free walk up tickets each day on a first come, first serviced basis. Be sure to arrive early for these walk up tickets, the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center opens at 7am.
Free daily tours to the USS Arizona Memorial are available from 7:30 am to 3 pm and include a compelling 23 minute documentary film on the history of the politics, the people and the attack on Oahu. After viewing the film, visitors are then boarded on a 150 passenger US Navy operated boat and experience an unforgettable ride to the USS Arizona Memorial. The movie and boat tour to the USS Arizona Memorial takes approximately 75 minutes.
The USS Arizona Memorial is built over the remains of the sunken battleship USS Arizona, the final resting place for many of the 1,177 crewmen killed on December 7, 1941 when their ship was bombed by the Japanese Naval Forces. This loss of life represents over half of the Americans killed during the worst naval disaster in American History.
Both the USS Oklahoma Memorial and the USS Utah Memorial are located on Ford Island. Transportation to USS Oklahoma Memorial is available every 10 to 15 minutes from the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, and is available for just $3.00. The USS Utah Memorial can only be visited if you have a military id and you drive yourself to Ford Island.
Weighing over 58,000 tons and measuring just under 900 feet from bow to stern, the USS Missouri is a hulking, awe-inspiring behemoth of a ship. A true force to be reckoned with in her prime, today, the now peaceful giant stands silent guard over Pearl Harbor. The Mighty Mo was the last American battleship ever built and the last to be decommissioned. The surrender of the Japanese on the deck of the Missouri brought the Second World War to an end and remains one of the most impressive highlights in her illustrious, 50-year career, spanning three wars, and three generations of American fighting men and women. The Battleship Missouri Memorial offers two different tours, daily, with much more to explore on your own. The main tour is included in your General Admission ticket and takes you to the exact spot where WWII ended and is fully ADA accessible. You may upgrade your tour to a more in-depth tour called The Heart of the Missouri. This tour takes you deep inside the inner workings of the ship including the engine rooms and gun turrets.

Attack on Pearl Harbor:
From Wiki: The attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise military strike by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service upon the United States (a neutral country at the time) against the naval base at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii on Sunday morning, December 7, 1941. The attack led to the United States' formal entry into World War II the next day. USS Oklahoma BB 37 Memorial, Pearl Harbor. June 2018.
This is a short video of the USS Oklahoma Memorial, Ford Island Pearl Harbor as recorded on June 27, 2018. It is a fitting memorial to the United States servicemen who lost their lives following the attack on the morning of December 7, 1941.
On 7 December 2007, the 66th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, a memorial for the 429 crew members who were killed in the attack was dedicated on Ford Island, just outside the entrance to where the battleship Missouri is docked as a museum. Missouri is moored where Oklahoma was moored when she was sunk.
This is raw video for those that need it or who wish to relive their own memories. It is vision without narration, music or transitions in case you like that shot. This is not a VLOG or a BLOG channel; there are thousands of those already.

Pearl Harbor Memorial visit (HD)
I made a trip to the Pearl Harbor Memorial in Hawaii during my recent trip to the island. The tour group is called Discover Hawaii Tours. Excellent tour.
Their guides are certified experts on all things Pearl Harbor, and you will get a historic narration throughout your tour and the many museums you will see throughout your tour. From the brand new Visitor Center to the many displays located around the entrance to Pearl Harbor and the USS Oklahoma Memorial, there is much to see.
Board the USS Arizona Memorial, the representation of the beginning of the war for the United States and stand above the wreckage of the ship. Many soldiers lost their lives within the ship and are still entombed today. This is an experience of emotions that you do not want to miss.
On the deck of the Battleship Missouri, you will get an insiders knowledge from an actual Missouri expert. On the deck you will feel the power of the great battleship, which served for more than 50 years, stand beneath the massive guns, see historic locations, and stand on the surrender deck where World War II officially ended.
