Umm Al-Quwain began in 1775 when Sheikh Majid Al Mualla established Umm Al-Quwain as an independent sheikdom. Like its four neighboring regions Ajman, Dubai, Sharjah, and Ras Al-Khaimah, Umm Al-Quwain is located along the vital trade route between Asia and India.
Umm Al Quwain Museum is a renovation of the fort of Umm Al Quwain (Al Aali Fort) which once guarded the entrance to the old town, overseeing the sea on one side and the creek on the other.

Umm Al Quwain Fort: A fort which was once home to the emirate’s ruler and guarded the entrance to the old town, overseeing the sea on one side and the creek on the other. It eventually became a police station then a museum. The museum now houses artifacts found at important nearby sites including Al-Dour and houses a collection of weapons that were used through the emirate's history. It is located near a Masjid (Mosque) in Umm Al Quwain Bazaar.
Old Harbor: An old harbor located in the old town overlooking the traditional dhow building yard where skilled craftsmen continue to assemble these traditional boats. The harbor is surrounded by old coral stone houses that display features of the original architecture and intricate sculptured plaster work.
Islands of Umm Al Quwain: Islands that lie to the east of the mainland peninsula on a unique stretch of coastline consisting of sandy islands surrounded by dense mangrove forests, separated by a series of creeks. The largest of the seven islands is Al Sinniyah, followed by Jazirat Al Ghallah and Al Keabe, all of which are visible from the old town. Tucked in between these and the coastal plains are the smaller islands of Al Sow, Al Qaram, Al Humaidi, Al Chewria and Al Harmala. The Madaar creek that runs between the islands provides a navigable waterway for fisherman even at low tide when the average depth is less than a few feet.
Al-Dour: Located roughly where the town of Umm Al Quwain is now, it is considered the largest pre-Islamic site on the Persian Gulf coast.[9]
Al-Dour was an important trading port from about 200 BC to 200 AD. Thousands of graves are found among the houses of Al-Dour. In some cases the larger tombs contained the remains of more than one individual, perhaps a family. There are two public monuments at Al-Dour, a small square fort with round corner towers and a small square temple dedicated to the Semitic sun god Shamash.[10]
Dreamland Aqua Park: the largest water park in the UAE is located on the coastline of Umm Al Quwain; about 40 minutes drive from Dubai, with 250,000 m2 (62 acres) expanse of landscaped gardens and over 30 rides, slides, and attractions. The Park is operated all year round with a daily capacity of ten thousand visitors.[11]

U.A.E in 24 Hours
The Challenge : To cover the seven Emirates of U.A.E under 24 hours, ensuring we cover atleast one or two landmarks per emirate.
The itinerary is as follows :-
• The trip started with a bleak golden sunrise at Jebal Jais in Ras Al Khaima for which we arrived at the destination by 3:00 am.
• In our next destination, we took a splash in some of the exhilarating rides at Dreamland Aqua park in Umm Al Quwain. Time : 10:30 am
• Adding to the spirit of adventure, we decided to do some trekking in the rugged and admirable mountains of Fujairah along with a visit to their infamous Fort of heritage.
Time : 2:30 pm
• Beach, Breeze and Jetskis were the highlight in Ajman. Time : 5:00pm
• The evening came to an end with cotton candies and boat rides in the serene and beautiful Qanat Al Qasba located in Sharjah. Time : 6:40pm
• On towards the glitz and glamour of the country : Dubai, wherein the options are one too many to ignore. Nevertheless our shortlist includes : A glimpse of the architectural wonder : Dubai Frame, a visit to the Beverley hills of Dubai : La Mer and a stroll around the city lights of Burj Boulevard.
Time : 8:45pm
• Had to take a brief pit stop at Adnoc before proceeding any further, considering we were travelling from emirate to emirate since dawn. Time : 12:15 am
• A sigh of relief and a feeling of accomplishment as we entered the Grand Mosque of Abu Dhabi covering our last and final emirate within the proposed time frame. Time : 2:45am.
Points to note :
• All seven Emirates covered in 24 hours
• Fujairah : The mosque seen is the second largest mosque in U.A.E
• The roundabout seen while exiting the fort is known as Al Saif (Sword) roundabout and is the current Guinness world record holder of the longest sword in the world.
• Before entering Dubai, we switched our car and changed our apparel to add to the tone of Dubai. This was due to the unforeseen climate conditions that caused the initial vehicle to be less presentable for the emirate and its video content, and the same goes for the three of us ;)
• We reached the Grand Mosque of Abu Dhabi at 2:45 am thereby completing our 7 emirate challenge, but the video content of the mosque was shot after 9:00 am as we had to adhere to their rule of no photography or videography prior to that time.

MOST HAUNTED PLACE IN UAE!!
I had no clue WHERE I WAS GOING!! I was just getting to know Ras Al Khaimah. I ended up in THE MOST HAUNTED PLACE IN UAE.

My sister was here in Dubai for vacation a couple of weeks ago, and as she had been here before and had seen already all the major touristic places in Dubai, I decided to take here outside of Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah. I haven't been to Ras Al Khaimah either so me my girlfriend and my sister went on this journey to know this part of the United Arab Emirates.
Before leaving home I wrote down on Google What to do in Ras Al Khaimah? and it came up with a few places so I got the names, place them in google maps and straight away we went without knowing what those places were. We had an amazing day we saw an ancient village in ruins, a palace, a fort and we saw the sunset up in the mountains which was beautiful.
Everything was fine, until we came back home and by curiosity I placed the names of the places we went on google just to know the history about them, and that's when I got surprised!
The Al Qasimi Palace is considered one of the most haunted places in the whole UAE, and that ancient village Al Jazirah Al Hamra was also haunted.
