Ambivalence - Rafael Sliks (Urban Spree - Berlin)
Ambivalence solo show at Urban Spree Gallery
Rafael Sliks is a graffiti and street art artist from São Paulo, Brazil. He's been doing his works in the streets and showing some of his studio works since 1997. Sliks had participated in festivals and group exhibitions all around the world, such as in Paris, Geneve, Miami, Taiwan and many other places. In March, 2017 the artist started a 2 weeks residency in the Urban Spree Gallery, in Berlin, Germany. The project culminated in Sliks first solo show, Ambivalence. The exhibition comes together as a representation of Sliks’ artistic universe, which reflects on the balance between the city chaos and the serenity of nature as the most important sources of inspiration for the artist.
Gabriel Sousa, our film-maker, is based in Berlin for a season and accompanied the whole process of the exhibition and produced this video as a partnership between Devir Produções - SLIKS - Urban Spree.

Lelin - Urban Spree Gallery Facade
Berlin, Germany
2017
Our season in Berlin has come to an end, but certainly it won’t take very long for us to come back to this city that has inspired us so much. To close this cycle, there's nothing better than a job with one of our own, the artist @lel1n from Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo that has painted the facade from @urban_spree Gallery in 4 days of intense work. This meeting that happened by chance resulted in this video that we share with you now. Berlin will be forever in our memory and we thank all of our friends and partners that helped us and believed in our work from the very beggining! Until next time!

Berlin, Germany’s capital, dates to the 13th century. Reminders of the city's turbulent 20th-century history include its Holocaust memorial and the Berlin Wall's graffitied remains. Divided during the Cold War, its 18th-century Brandenburg Gate has become a symbol of reunification. The city's also known for its art scene and modern landmarks like the gold-colored, swoop-roofed Berliner Philharmonie, built in 1963.
Berlin is the capital and the largest city of Germany as well as one of its constituent 16 states. Located in northeastern Germany on the banks of the rivers Spree and Havel, Berlin is the centre of the Berlin-Brandenburg Metropolitan Region, which has roughly 6 million residents from more than 180 nations.
Berlin has two commercial international airports. Tegel Airport (TXL) is situated within the city limits. Schönefeld Airport (SXF) is located just outside Berlin's south-eastern border in the state of Brandenburg. Long-distance rail lines connect Berlin with all of the major cities of Germany and with many cities in neighboring European countries. Regional rail lines of the Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg provide access to the surrounding regions of Brandenburg and to the Baltic Sea. The Berlin Hauptbahnhof is the largest grade-separated railway station in Europe. The Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe and the Deutsche Bahn manage several extensive urban public transport systems.

Here goes some hype fiction for the heads out thurrrr! Miss Teen usa aka Miss South Carolina could even understand that the Britney Spears is a Stargate alien from the planet Mars or maybe Venus. These fellas blur the line of reality through art fatality. Mortal Kombat on you Wombats!!! Finish him for breakfast lunch and dinner to see who the winner is on who wants to be a millionaire or even the brand new game show Vocoder Free Healthcare . I found a billion google type candies worn by a sexy gal named Mandy. She was totally crazy and loved to listen to my new viral playlist and even cult classics on her white Iphone.
Here's my most favorite tale:
One day I saw a cute fat kitten run amok with a New Ipad..he was Bad. His name was John and he had a lil sister named Mary Ann and an even smaller sister named Suzy. They went to the store to buy a crack rock for Paris Hilton and her boyfriend Oj Simpson at their record release party. then Johnny Cochran stepped on Suzy and went to court with her parents. Meanwhile, the boy cat from around the corner who went to the same school where the olsen twins escaped, found some hardcore booty shake records from the 90's. He listened to the classic songs yet new they were disrespectful to women. Ergo the Freak in captivity is none other than the new character Tommy with whom all adore. Tom is a wolf and he likes to eat cats for Breakfast!!! He plays on his playstation and sony psp all day long while watching snowboard videos. Meanwhile the super hot Cat was riding his skateboard while playing chunes on his Ipod and then BOOM!!!The Battle Begins!!! the Wolf Jumped in front of him and said give me your rubik's cube and your Jessica Alba lunchbox or I'll call the police and tell them about the alternative avant garde lifestyle that you've been living. WHAT ?! said the cat ( lol ) He looked into his pocket for the proper code to release his dragonball z monster that was hidden in his little kitten pocket. KABOOOM!! A giant 100 foot tall two headed Homer and Bart Simpson behemoth arose from inside his red ball of power. The Simpsons were a threat that the wolf never imagined would serve to challenge him in an animal fight. So he called up the Swag lord Malik on his Google phone and told them to bring a metal stripper to destroy these Crump cartoon machines before his eyes as well as vote for Obama or Hillary Clinton! So then, Outta the Blue....a robot parody of a funny novel I once read called the Davinci code came out of nowhere to protect the wolf. Then Marge And Maggie Simpson fell from the sky like angels to lay their wrath upon the strong dog. Even Lisa appeared with an Oprah medallion on her side that was glaring with the aura of a Magical gem that would make Harry Potter jealous. Ultimately, Tiger Woods ordered his army of 1000 Beautiful Blond Bombshells to Stop the Madness!
The silly wolf made a stupid mistake. He slipped on a banana and fell on his ass so hard that he could no longer walk! The cat side are you alright? are you Hurt?! or in pain?...and the wolf replied You foolish pussy cat! Vampire Killers are coming to get you ! ...the cat said dont make me pull Hannibal out of my pokemon ball too! I'm warning you! Then a blond fairy appeared and told them all to stop or she would turn them into frogs!!! ( rofl ) Then the magic fairy said do you want me to give you a sex change operation?! or do y'all want me to delete your myspace pages!!!?? Both animals replied NO dont do that Please dont do that! We just want to be Platinum rap stars like on that tmz channel. Can you surgically bond us to Angelina Jolie possibly? the Fairy replied I want an apology for Michael Jackson. Then Oj appeared with a baseball bat and a basketball jersey screaming I want a Hershey! The cat said I'm so thirsty for some almond coconut milk ..cookies would complement that nice. or maybe I just stick with eating mice. So they all went back to Oj's house to watch Full House versus the Family Guy's spouse! and then the whole city got destroyed by a nuclear bomb developed by terrorists funded by your Mom! Sike!! - a short story by Warhologram
Places to see in ( Berlin - Germany ) Kreuzberg
Places to see in ( Berlin - Germany ) Kreuzberg
Sprawling Kreuzberg is home to students, artists and a large Turkish population, with many restaurants around Kottbusser Tor. The quirky Bergmannkiez area is known for thrift shops, laid-back cafes and the landscaped Viktoriapark. The gritty area near Görlitzer Park offers street art, casual bars and food stalls at Markthalle Neun. Shaded pathways along the Landwehr Canal attract walkers, cyclists and loungers.
As anyone from Kreuzberg will tell you, this district is not just the coolest in Berlin, but the hippest location in the entire universe. Kreuzberg has long been famed for its diverse cultural life, its experimental alternative lifestyles and the powerful spell it exercises on young people from across Germany. In 2001, Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain were merged to form one administrative borough. When it comes to club culture, Friedrichshain is now out in front – with southern Friedrichshain particularly ranked as home to the highest density of clubs in the city.
Along the Spree’s northern and southern banks, locals and visitors applaud the street musicians on the Oberbaumbrücke bridge ready to rock the world’s concert venues tomorrow. The borough is a stage and home for creativity – and not only when it comes to music. Here, artists create free spaces for their work – on the streets, in backyard flats and ateliers. Berlin’s start-up scene is buzzing around Moritzplatz square, busily designing the ideas that will shape our lives in future. Creative space is shared and used together – for urban gardening, for example, in the Prinzessinnengärten (Princess Gardens). Or in the Markthalle Neun market hall, when the great street food outlets join forces for a Thursday evening your taste buds will just love.
Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg also has more mainstream offerings. Here, you find some of Berlin’s most ambitious museums, including the Berlinische Galerie showing art from 1870 to the present day, the Martin-Gropius-Bau arts venue, the Jewish Museum and the Deutsche Technikmuseum (German Museum of Technology). Or you could spend an exciting evening of contemporary dance, theatre and performance at one of the three Hebbel am Ufer (HAU) stages. The borough also boasts the English Theatre Berlin, the city's only English-language theatre, as well the converted substation Umspannwerk Ost, now a restaurant and arts venue housing the Berliner Kriminaltheater with its programme of classic murder mysteries.

the script of this video:
the script of this video: My guide lines for the ultimate bike route in Berlin are: 1) it must be bike friendly with many bike trail as possible. 2) I want to travel inside the city and to experience everything it has to offer including the parks. 3) I want to see east and west Berlin, and the wall in between. 4) I want to experience the modern city and the historical one without going to the touristy places. 5) It must have interesting and relaxing breaks along the way. I constructed a bike rout on google maps, which is free to download on the blog post, link in the description box below. - for this crazy bike travel I will my new bike, it has only one gear but it’s very light wait and fast. The Charlottenburg palace is the largest palace in Berlin, it was built during the late 17th century. And when biking in its gardens we can find a belvedere, a mausoleum, a theatre and a pavilion. Next we bike into the Charlottenburg neighborhood, we will take left at Bismarckstrasse, passing through the Ernst Reuter platz we continue straight ahead until we reach the great tiergarten, the central park of berlin. Here you can feel free to gain some serious speed while you explore one of the most beautiful in all of Germany. Crossing tiergarten to the other side we reach the Brandenburg Gate, we cross it safely to the other side and start riding in east Berlin until we reach the Berlin wall itself. Next in our journey we are going to cycle along Prenzlauer berg. One of the most beloved neighborhoods in east Berlin, especially among young families and foodies as some of the best restaurants are located here. After gaining important calories for the rest of the day, lets continue discover Prenzlauer Berg! The Kulturbrauerei (the culture brewery) was built as a brewery in the 19th century and today it is a cultural center. We continue downhill, careful not to hit the children along the way, until we enter Fridrichshein, another big neighborhood in east Berlin, here we enter a big beautiful park with the same name. Volkspark friedrichshain is a very popular park, today they even shoot a movie here. There are a lot of asphalt roads here, so cycling is very smooth and relaxing. Next we cycle towards Karl marx allee, Stalin alle in the old soviet times, this enormous and wide street was used for soviet propaganda and military parades back in the cold war. While cycling along this street you can look at the remarkable soviet architecture around you. Let’s turn right now in Frankfurter tor and start rolling along the warschauer strasse. At the end of it we reach the famous oberbaumbrucke and the largest remnant of the Berlin wall, East side gallery. Let’s take this moment to walk slowly along the beautiful drawings on the wall. Next, we continue with full power towards schillingbrucke, that leads as back to west Berlin, right to my favorite neighborhood, Kreuzberg! There we can see the St. Michael's Church that was heavily damaged during the Second World War and today it is protected as a historical monument. The garden in front of it was ones a channel, connecting the river spree and the landver channel. And today it is a beautiful and unique walking and biking trail. At the end of it we reach oranienstrasse, where we will turn left and right at Adalbertstraße. After the big square kottbusser tor, we continue straight ahead on kottbusser damm until we reach Herman platz. From there we enter park hasenheide that connect us with the amazing tempelhofer feld, the old airport that is now one of the most beloved open fields in Berlin. Let’s cycle on the runway until we find the north/western exit. Now we rolling down hill to the heart of Kreuzberg, we say hello to the beautiful waterfall in Viktoriapark and continue towards out final destination, park am gleisdreieck.

Berlin Travel Guide & Magical Germany visit
Berlin Travel Guide & Magical Berlin visit
Berlin is the capital city of Germany and one of the 16 states of the Federal Republic of Germany. Berlin dates to the 13th century.
Berlin is best known for its historical associations as the German capital, internationalism and tolerance, lively nightlife, its many cafés, clubs, bars, street art, and numerous museums, palaces, and other sites of historic interest. Berlin's architecture is quite varied. Although badly damaged in the final years of World War II and broken apart during the Cold War, Berlin has reconstructed itself greatly, especially with the reunification push after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.
It is now possible to see representatives of many different historic periods in a short time within the city centre, from a few surviving medieval buildings near Alexanderplatz, to the ultra modern glass and steel structures at Potsdamer Platz. Because of its tumultuous history.
Berlin remains a city with many distinctive neighbourhoods. Brandenburger Tor is a symbol of division during the world war, which now shows German reunification. It was built after the Acropolis in Athens and was completed in 1799 as the royal city-gate.
The foundation of Berlin was very multicultural. The surrounding area was populated by Germanic Swabian and Burgundian tribes, as well as Slavic Wends in pre-Christian times, and the Wends have stuck around. Their modern descendants are the Sorbian Slavic-language minority who live in villages southeast of Berlin near the Spree River.
Districts of Berlin:
Mitte (Mitte)
The historical centre of Berlin, the nucleus of the former East Berlin
City West (Charlottenburg, Wilmersdorf, Schöneberg, Tiergarten, Moabit)
Ku'Damm (short for Kurfürstendamm) is, along with Tauentzienstraße, one of the main shopping streets in former West Berlin, especially for luxury goods.
East Central (Friedrichshain, Kreuzberg, Prenzlauer Berg)
Associated with the left wing youth culture, artists and Turkish immigrants.
North (Spandau, Tegel, Reinickendorf, Pankow, Weißensee, Gesundbrunnen, Wedding)
Spandau and Reinickendorf are beautiful old towns which feel much more spacious than the inner city.
East (Lichtenberg, Hohenschönhausen, Marzahn, Hellersdorf)
The museum at the site of the 1945 surrender to the Soviet Army is of interest
South (Steglitz, Zehlendorf, Tempelhof, Neukölln, Treptow, Köpenick)
South is a mixed bag of different boroughs. Zehlendorf is one of the greenest and wealthiest districts in Berlin
