La val Fex è una bellissima valle laterale dell'alta Engadina.
Per raggiungerla il luogo di partenza è il paese di Sils a pochi Km. da St. Moritz
da dove , dopo un breve tratto in salita , inizia la valle , quasi pianeggiante che
termina all'alp Muot Selvas , ai piedi del pizzo Tremoggia del gruppo del Bernina.
La valle stupenda , è tutta un susseguirsi di prati verdi e baite in muratura e legno ed alcune stalle fino agli alpeggi in fondo alla valle.

From Piz Corvatsch we descended into Romantic Val Fex (Fextal). Eine Fahrt mit der Pferdekutsche. Another day we visited Soglio. Hier verbrachte Rilke einen Sommerurlaub im Palazzo. Switzerland 1992.

Da Sils Maria transito fino a Pontresina con escursione nella val Roseg ,e ritorno fino a Silvaplana da dove parte la strada per il passo dello Julier .

Das Bündner Fextal, ein Seitental des Oberengadins, liegt südöstlich von Sils-Maria (1'809 m ü. M.). Es gehört zu den am höchsten gelegenen ganzjährig bewohnten Tälern der Schweiz. Zuhinterst im Tal befinden sich drei Gletscher: der Vadret dal Tremoggia, der Vadret dal Güz und der Vadret da Fex. Das Fextal wird im Süden durch eine Reihe von Dreitausendern begrenzt. Il Chapütschin (3'386 m ü. M.) an der Ostflanke bildet den Übergang ins Val Roseg.
Im Süden erheben sich Piz Glüschaint (3'398 m ü. M.), Piz Tremoggia (3'441 m ü. M.) und Piz Fora (3'363 m ü. M.), welche auf ihren Verbindungsgraten die Landesgrenze zwischen der Schweiz und Italien bilden und damit das Oberengadin vom Veltlin trennen.
The Graubünden Val Fex is a tributary valley of the Upper Engadin and is situated southeast of Sils-Maria (1,809 m above sea level). It is one of the most elevated valleys in Switzerland being inhabited throughout the year. Three glaciers are situated in the rearmost section of the valley: the Vadret dal Tremoggia Glacier, the Vadret dal Güz Glacier and the Vadret da Fex Glacier. The Val Fex is bordered by several three-thousanders in the south. Il Chapütschin (3,386 m above sea level) at the eastern flank forms the transition into the Val Roseg valley.
In the south rise the Piz Glüschaint (3,398 m above sea level), the Piz Tremoggia (3,441 m above sea level) and the Piz Fora (3,363 m above sea level), the connecting ridges of which constitute the border between Switzerland and Italy and therefore separate the Upper Engadin from the Valtellina valley.

Im Weiler Crasta (1'951 m ü. M.) im unteren Teil des Tals findet sich eine Ende des 15. Jahrhunderts erbaute reformierte Bergkirche mit bemerkenswerter Freskenmalerei. Im Norden auf der gegenüberliegenden Talseite des Oberengadins erheben sich die Dreitausender Piz Lagrev (3'165 m ü. M.), Piz Polaschin (3'013 m ü. M.) und Piz Güglia (3'380 m ü. M.).

In the hamlet of Crasta (1,951 m above sea level) in the lower part of the valley lies a Reformed mountain church with fresco paintings, which was built at the end of the 15th century. In the north, at the opposite side of the Upper Engadin rise several three-thousanders including the Piz Lagrev (3,165 m above sea level), the Piz Polaschin (3,013 m above sea level) and the Piz Güglia (3,380 m above sea level).
