Otis Escalators Floors (*1-3) @ Ogilvie Transportation Center, Chicago, IL
(Filmed on 6/1/19). Since I haven't filmed the escalators at Ogilvie, I thought I would do it today as long as I was still in the city. Just like the elevators, these escalators are Otis as well. This building contains two sets of escalators. The first set serves floors *1-2, and contains an up & down escalator and two man-powered elevators (MPE's).
The second set, however, serves floors *1-3 which access the lobby of the 500 W Madison offices above. In this set, the escalators in between floors *1&2 contain four each, two of which travel the same direction. The escalators in between floors 2&3 contain three of them, where I believe the middle escalator can be reversed under certain circumstances. In this case, the middle escalator was moving downwards.
*As well as me riding the escalators, you'll also notice at 1:23 that the elevator doors for the shuttle elevators have advertisements on them. Curious about what they're advertising or if they upgraded the cabs?

The 2013 Delta County Fair is held in Hotchkiss, Colorado every August. Hotchkiss is located in the North Fork Valley, known for the largest concentration of organic farms in any county in the United States.

Crossing the Central Valley from Chico to the west I came upon the town of Orland. Traffic was stopped by a short parade in honor of the county fair. So I parked the car and took in the last part of the parade.
This brings back memories of similar parades over the years in the town where I grew up: Watsonville, CA... also a farm community though now much much larger in population than it was when I still lived there.
