LRCC Fall Foliage Run 2017
Tinicum State Park was cool and crisp with the first of the fall weather. LRCC had a good turn out for a look at the Fall Foliage with a trip into northern New Jersey. It was to be a leisurely drive through winding country roads and twenty club members were looking forward to the day. Unfortunately, Mother Nature decided that it was not time to show her beauty during our drive through small towns and forests. Did that stop us from having a good time? Of course not. We partook in our most enjoyable aspect of LRCC, stopping to eat at a wonderful restaurant. We also toured the Valley Shepherd Creamery in Long Valley, NJ. We certainly learned more about sheep, goats and cows and the different types of cheeses that can be made from their milk. We were shown videos on the cheese making process and then given a tour, following a tractor ride, of their 'cave' where the cheese is stored for maturing. An interesting day with friends and good food.

SUMMARY
=======
This is a list of notable cheesemakers. Cheesemakers are people or companies that makes cheese, who have developed the knowledge and skills required to convert milk into cheese. Cheesemaking involves controlling precisely the types and amounts of ingredients used and the parameters of the cheesemaking process, to make specific types and qualities of cheese. The milk may be from a cow, goat, sheep or buffalo, although worldwide cow's milk is most commonly used. Cheesemakers also need to be skilled in grading cheese to assess quality, assessing defects and suitability for release, and cheese ripening. The craft of making cheese dates back at least 5,000 years. Archaeological evidence exists of Egyptian cheese being made in the ancient Egyptian civilizations.
