Valley of the Rocks - Exmoor National Park
Two days camping in Exmoor National Park where we visited all the sites and attractions to see. What a great long weekend out. Both cars packed to the max with tents, camera gear and food. Can't wait to do this again.

I spend a day exploring the beautiful Lynton and Lynmouth, where Exmoor meets the sea. This is one of my favourite places in Exmoor National Park so, despite the rather drizzly weather for a large part of the day, it’s a joy for me to be visiting here again. I explore the town of Lynton followed by a walk to the spectacular Valley of Rocks. The best part of the day, however, is when I drop down into the wonderful Lynmouth…..
Filmed in the county of Devon. Locations include Lynton, Lynmouth and the Valley of Rocks. This is the first film in Exmoor.
Written, researched, directed, camera and sound, edited and music by Patrick Leach.

Valley of Rocks (Lynton) to Woody Bay and the Heddon Valley
No visit to Devon (England) would be complete without taking in some of the delightful scenery. In this video we start in Lynton, firstly making our way to “Valley of Rocks” via the coastal path, then taking a gentle drive along the highly scenic toll road towards Woody Bay, finally heading inland to the Heddon Valley.

While out on another day trip with my daughter Penny in my home area, we went to The Valley of The Rocks which is a dry valley that runs parallel to the coast in North Devon, England, about 1 kilometre (0.6 mi) to the west of the village of Lynton. It is a popular tourist destination, noted for its herd of feral goats, and for its geology, having good exposures of the Lynton Beds (formally the 'Lynton Formation') that are among the oldest Devonian rocks in North Devon and are highly fossiliferous.. Also of note are the periglacial features formed when this area was at the limit of glaciation during the last Ice Age.. The valley is believed to owe its existence to the dissection by coastal cliff recession of a former extension of the valley of the East Lyn River which now meets the sea at Lynmouth..
