We did not include all options in Bangkok, but only the main ones used by tourists.

Making it his goal to re-discover Bangkok, Co spent thousands of hours on his mountain bike exploring the vast network of local streets, alleyways, footpaths and canals between the main urban thoroughfares. What he found, lurking behind the facade of modernization, were hidden worlds of peace and tranquility, a picture of “real” Thai life that has remained unchanged for countless decades; an identity of a city that is true to the Thai people, yet largely unknown to outsiders.
Whether it’s the colorful sights and smells of the local markets, the fascinating life of locals along the canals, or the surprising existence of bountiful green belts, Co discovered the essence of what makes Bangkok one of Asia’s most captivating cities. Since then, it has been his mission to share these discoveries with the rest of the world.

This video is a 1 Day Bangkok City Tour
I booked a taxi for the whole day trip, (which cost around USD 50,00)
and we drove to 6 locations.
1st. Stop
Maeklong Railway Market
(About one hours from central Bangkok)
2nd. Stop
Darmnoen Saduak Floating Market
(another hour to get to from the Railway Market)
3rd. Stop
Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall
Beautiful Palace!
But ladies must wear long skirt, and cover their shoulders. Guys need to wear long shorts or pants.
All your belongings must stay locked out side on a designated lockers. You can only take your wallet inside.
If by any chance you are not wearing skirt you can buy it a simple black one outside for not more than USD 5,00.
4th. Stop
Grand Palace
(Book at least two hours of your day to spend here, you'll not regret it! There is so much to see, it's a magical place!)
Again you have to dress appropriated, long skirt for girls, must cover your shoulders, and guys must wear long pants.

Pak Klong Talad Flower Market
The best time to visit this market its from 1:00 am. But if you can't be bother to see flowers that early, you can still go during the day (like it did) there is plenty of beautiful flowers and arrangements to see!
The entrance for most Temples and Palaces are very cheap. The most expensive thing on my day tour was the boat on the floating market, around USD 70.00.
In total, with my taxi fare for the whole day I spent around USD 150.00.
I highly recommend the 6 locations I went to.
My three favorites were the Railway Market (cause it's so unusual).
The floating Market (cause it's quiet the experience).
And The Grand Palace it's a must go, it's so magical inside, I don't think anyone regrets visiting it!
Before I went I was a little concern if it was safe for a girl to do this kind of tour alone (since I was going to quiet far away locations) but it was totally fine. Not for a moment I felt unsafe!
My driver was extremely nice, very helpful, and with a fair price!
For every location he would drop me off and pick me up at the same place, in 1 hour, or 1 hour and half. I end up giving him a big tip cause I had such a wonderful time and it's big part thanks to him! I would definitely contact him in future trips to Thailand! Cause you know... no ones go to Thailand only once... that place is Magical!!!

If you are planning your trip to Bangkok, you’ll probably hear the same things over and over again. The grand palace, reclining buddha and khao san road. Now we are not saying these places are bad, but we would just like to give you some alternatives.
Here is OUR list of places to visit in Bangkok.
1. Wat Prayoon
The adress is 24 Prajadhipok Rd, แขวง วัดกัลยาณ์ Khet Thon Buri, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10600.
You can easily reach it by the Chao Phraya River Express boat service by alighting at the Memorial Bridge pier and walking over the bridge across the river.
Wat Prayoon is open everyday and there is no entrance fee.
2. Saphan Taksin Park
The address is Soi Charoen Nakhon 13, the best way to get here, is to take the BTS or the Chao Phraya express boat to Saphan Taksin, and then walking across the bridge or by taking the local ferry boat.
3. Airplane Graveyard
Ramkhamhaeng Road | Hua Mak, Bang Kapi, Bangkok 10240,
The best way to get to the Airplane Graveyard is by Taxi.
*Pro tip: Use Grab Taxi, you can write the address in the APP, so there should be no confusion for the driver.
It is open from 9 am till 4pm.
The entrance fee depends on what the family wants you to pay it is normally around 200-400 baht.
4. JJ GREEN

You can get here by taxi, MRT: Chatuchak or BTS: Mo Chit
Open from thursdays until sundays, from 6 pm till 1.30 am.
JJ Green is located next to the Chatuchak weekend market, which closes around 5pm. So it's perfect to combine these 2 for a big day of shopping!

In this video we explain you how to use the Chao Phraya Express Boat. This is a really convenient transport to use in Bangkok to beat the traffic and it’s also a lot of fun. Use the river in Bangkok instead of the busy streets and beat the traffic.
There are 5 different colored boats you can take, but to not confuse you, we only recommend 2 of them. The orange boat and the blue boat.
We use the example to use the Orange Flag Boat from N13 to N3 Si Phraya to get to our office at Co van Kessel

Bangkok, Thailand Travel Guide: Grand Palace, Chao Phraya River, Wat Pho Tour + AMAZING Thai Food
This is our city guide and a full-day tour of Bangkok during our Thailand Trip. Most of Bangkok's notable historical and cultural sites can be seen in a day or two. We partnered with Thai Tour Guide in a six-hour tour of the city that included the Grand Palace, a private long-boat ride on the Chao Phraya River, Wat Pho and a tasty Thai food lunch.
Our tour guide, Joy and a driver picked us up in a large van to transport us the different sites in a stress-free manner. First, we head to, The Grand Palace, the cities most famous landmark. It is a complex of buildings and has been the official residence of the Kings of Siam since 1782. Most tourists come to see Wat Phra Kaew, which houses the famous 14th century Emerald Buddha. This is Thailand's most sacred site, and out of respect, men and women, must wear long pants and shirts with sleeves. Young children are exempt from this rule.
After touring the Grand Palace, we head to the pier close by to take a long-tail boat cruise on the Chao Phraya River. Before boarding, our private boat we pick up delicious Thai ice tea, coffee, and some traditional Thai sweets. The ride from the long-tail boasts beautiful views of the Grand Palace and city skyline before heading to the traditional canals.
After the ride, we grab a quick lunch at the Krua Khun Kung at the Navy Club of Bangkok. Some of the highlights of the meal include a huge mango smoothie, Tom Yong Goong soup, and squid with salty egg.
We then make our way in the air-conditioned van to Wat Pho (Wat Po or The Temple of The Reclining Buddha), a Buddhist temple complex south of the Grand Palace. A must for any first-time visitor to Bangkok, it is famed for its giant reclining Buddha that measures 46 meters long and is completely covered in gold leaf.
The tour also included a visit to Bangkok's Flower Market, but by this time our two batteries were drained from the filming. The market is not be missed either and gives you a glimpse of the importance of flowers in Thai culture.

What he found, lurking behind the facade of modernization, were hidden worlds of peace and tranquility, a picture of “real” Thai life that has remained unchanged for countless decades; an identity of a city that is true to the Thai people, yet largely unknown to outsiders.
Whether it’s the colorful sights and smells of the local markets, the fascinating life of locals along the canals, or the surprising existence of bountiful green belts, Co discovered the essence of what makes Bangkok one of Asia’s most captivating cities. Van Terminal in Bangkok
Being the black sheep of the family, the Victory Monument Terminal is more for minivans than buses. The Victory Monument is characterized by a huge roundabout with the tall-standing monument set in the middle. The easiest way to get there is via the Victory Monument BTS station and then taking the elevated skywalk to the minivan stops. If you’re more of a minivan type of person, Victory Monument is for you!
The huge roundabout is indicative of the direction in which these minivans go- everywhere! However, it doesn’t go too far. The vans generally service the central region of Thailand including many beautiful attractions such as Pattaya, Koh Chang, Koh Samet, Hua Hin and Ayuthaya. If you want to go to other destinations in Thailnd, there is also a bus to Mochit Bus Terminal which covers more ground.
Finding the right bus can be challenging at best of times because the signs are usually written in Thai. But just mention to the nearest wandering minivan man and they’ll hustle you off to the right vehicle in a jiffy. There are also different clusters of minivan stops so find the one next to the Centre One Mall which offer the tried, tested and trusted services. The minivans are however a little more expensive than the buses from other bus terminals.
Having said that, breakdowns do happen less often and they are almost always air-conditioned. All fares will fall between 100-200 baht and it also offers buses to Don Mueng Airport for 30 baht and Suvarnabhumi Airport for 40 baht. So as long as you find your way to the right cluster of minivans, everything should be smooth sailing from there.
Be weary of vendors sitting on the streets offering to sell you tickets for scam trips – they’re usually the ones making the biggest fuss.

In this video we show you one of the oldest shopping malls of Bangkok! MBK Center.
MBK, or Mah boon krong as is its full name, was built in 1985. And has been popular ever since
It's not as up-market or stylish as neighbouring Siam Discovery, Siam Centre and the glitzy Siam Paragon, but it offers a huge amount of different shops and local goods for a bargain.
For tourists on a budget as well, MBK is also a great place to buy clothes too. Because a lot of MBK’s customers are foreigners you can find many European and American shirt and pant sizes.
MBK is a fun place to hide, chill out and get away from the city’s heat for awhile. The mall officially opens at 10am but a lot of the smaller stalls open a little later. Closing time is 10pm.

In this video we explain you how to use the BTS Skytrain in Bangkok Thailand. If you want to make the most out of your time in Bangkok, use the BTS Skytrain to get around. It is the most convenient way to travel through Bangkok, because it is connected to all the main areas. And when you connect the BTS with the Chao Phraya Express Boat, The Subway and the Airport Rail Link you can pretty much access everything in Bangkok.
The BTS Skytrain has 2 lines. The Sukhumvit line and the Silom line.
The Sukhumvit line runs from north to South-east, starting at Mo Chit and ending at Samrong.
It passes through major areas like Victory Monument, Siam (Central Station), Nana, Asok, and all the other stations on the street Sukhumvit.
You can also transfer to the Airport Rail Link at Phaya Thai Station and the MRT Underground at Mo Chit and Asok Stations.
The Silom line, starts at the National Stadium and ending at Bang Wa in Thonburi (across the Chao Phraya River).
The two lines connect at the station: SIAM. Siam is one of Bangkok’s busiest stations; not only does it connect both the Silom and Sukhumvit BTS Lines, but it is also a very popular shopping destination with 4 big shopping malls connected to each other.
The trains start at 5 in the morning from the terminal stations and the last one is at midnight.

Travel Day: PHUKET TO BANGKOK BY BUS [VIP]
Today is a travel day! We're travelling from Phuket to Bangkok by Bus. Unfortunately, due to the time of year (Chinese new year + end of high season here in Thailand) along with our last minute booking the flights were really expensive (at least by Thailand standards)
So, instead, we decided to take the 12 - 14-hour bus journey from Phuket to Bangkok - and what an experience it was...
We booked with 12Go.Asia (it seems slightly - like £1.00 more expensive than booking when you arrive at the bus station, however, we liked the fact that we had the security of the booking in place)
We're all about the adventure, and the bus from Phuket to Bangkok is no different - despite the fact I'm secretly rather grateful that we're flying back south rather than going on the bus again...
