Behind Bergen County's Blue Laws
At Garden State Plaza, an average of 60,000 people shop every day. That’s 19 million visitors a year. Paramus alone rakes in more than $5 billion in yearly retail sales, making Bergen County one of the wealthiest in the state, and that’s with its stores shut on Sundays.

PARAMUS IS AWESOME! Find out why.
Paramus, NJ is a really awesome place to live and to visit. Its been my family's home for over 18 years now and we just love everything is has to offer. Its definitely the shopping capital of New Jersey right in the heart of Bergen County but its really the community, schools, parks, and so much more that makes it such a great place.
Paramus has a nationally recognized, award winning school district. From the grade schools to high school, you can feel confident that your kids will be going to top notch, safe schools. The programs offered really foster deep learning!
The parks available right here in town are just awesome. Van Saun and Saddle River County Park are the biggest and really just plain great places to spend a day relaxing or getting your cardio on. At Van Saun you can visit the Zoo, train ride, extensive playground or any of the play fields. Over at the Dunker Hook area of Saddle River County Park, our favorite, features a 6 mile long bike and running path that is a very peaceful place to take a stroll or ride.
We just totally lucked out 18 years ago when we were house hunting and stumbled across this slice of heaven that had really low property taxes. Honestly, we were over budget but when we factored the low property taxes, it was so worth it!
