Farmer market in Portland, Oregon
I love nature and scared of crowded places. I love to spend my free times in the woods or on the mountain, but today it really changes my mind. It was a wonderful day I ever have at the Portland Farmer market. Street music, friendly peoples, flowers is in every corner at the market, foods...foods... smell so yummy, wild mushrooms, veggies, jams.... everything that I made, planted, canned are present there. Feel like home and in the woods :). Would love to spend some more time a place like that in the future. As I said, Autumn foliage is along the way from Vancouver Washington to Portland, Oregon. You gotta love our place. Another beautiful day on earth!

Bellingham is one of those towns that is easy to pass while driving down I-5 because you really can't see it from the interstate. Once our friend Mason reached out asking to grab coffee together if we ever passed through town, we finally had a reason to stop and see for ourselves what Bellingham was all about. Let's just say, we were NOT disappointment we made the drive! We believe Bellingham just might be Washington's BEST kept secret, and we want to show you why. LET'S GO!

Seattle Pike Place Market (Farmers Market) in Seattle, WA 2019 | 4K 60ᶠᵖˢ | Virtual Walking Tour
This is a virtual walk tour of the Pike Place Market (Public Market) in Seattle, Washington (US state) near Downtown Seattle and Elliot Bay Waterfront. It is one of the oldest running farmer's market operating in the United States.
Pike Place Market is a public market overlooking the Elliott Bay waterfront in Seattle, Washington, United States. The Market opened August 17, 1907, and is one of the oldest continuously operated public farmers' markets in the United States. It is a place of business for many small farmers, craftspeople and merchants. Named after the central street, Pike Place runs northwest from Pike Street to Virginia Street. With more than 10 million visitors annually, Pike Place Market is Seattle's most popular tourist destination and is the 33rd most visited tourist attraction in the world.[2]
The Market is built on the edge of a steep hill, and consists of several lower levels located below the main level. Each features a variety of unique shops such as antique dealers, comic book and collectible shops, small family-owned restaurants, and one of the oldest head shops in Seattle. The upper street level contains fishmongers, fresh produce stands and craft stalls operating in the covered arcades. Local farmers and craftspeople sell year-round in the arcades from tables they rent from the Market on a daily basis, in accordance with the Market's mission and founding goal: allowing consumers to Meet the Producer.
Pike Place Market is home to nearly 500 residents who live in 8 different buildings throughout the Market. Most of these buildings have been low income housing in the past; however, some of them no longer are, such as the Livingston Baker apartments. The Market is run by the quasi-government Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority (PDA). Wikipedia

Pike Place Market - AMERICA'S #1 CHOWDER + Must-Eat Market Tour in Seattle | American Food!

Pike Place Market is a landmark of #Seattle, and one of the oldest continuously functioning markets in the United States. I had been there once before when I was a kid, but this time I was on a mission to go on the ultimate Pike Place Market food tour!
In this video you’ll find some of the best food within the market and all the details about what to order and eat when you’re in Seattle, Washington. One tip - go early to start eating before the main huge rush comes - when it gets to mid-day, the market is packed.
Here are all the restaurants we tried at #PikePlaceMarket:
Lowell's Restaurant - For breakfast we went to the legendary Lowell's Restaurant, serving a mix of classic American food including seafood. I wanted to try their dungeness crab eggs benedict, which was a little expensive, but pretty good.
Dungeness crab eggs benedict - $25
Pure Food Fish Market - Next to Lowell’s don’t miss the smoked salmon. Again, it’s not cheap, but it’s so good, salmon glistening and embedded with smoke.
½ Pound salmon - $16.56
Ghost Alley Espresso - Next on this Pike Place Market food tour I was in desperate need of a coffee to begin the morning so we navigated our way past the gnarly gum alley to Ghost Alley Espresso. Great place for a quick cup of espresso.
Doppio espresso - $3
Piroshky Piroshky - A legendary bakery that serves mostly Russian influenced baked goods, both sweet and savory, is Piroshky Piroshky. Again, I tried to keep it pretty classic, and Seattle style, so Jason and I split the salmon pate piroshky. It was very tasty, with a cream cheesy taste.
Salmon - $6.85
Pike Place Chowder - Having won every chowder competition and award in the US as possible, Pike Place Chowder serves America’s #1 Chowder. So you know you can’t miss it when you go to Pike Place Market. We got in line about 20 minutes before they opened and line didn’t take long. You order, get your chowder, and then sit down. I don’t have too much experience with chowder, but indeed it was good, and I also really liked the seafood bisque.
Total price - $37.76 total
Beecher's Handmade Cheese - Another classic is Beecher's Handmade Cheese where you can sample cheese curds and also order grilled cheese sandwiches.
Flagship sandwich - $7.49
Ellenos Real Greek Yogurt - They also have a very loyal following and for sure it’s some of the best yogurt I’ve ever tried.
Market Grill - Finally to end this Seattle food tour we stopped at Market Grill, right in the heart of the market and I ordered the grilled salmon plate. Overall, it was good, and a perfect ending to this extreme food tour!
Grilled salmon plate - $15
Thank you for watching!

Welcome to Bellingham, Washington!
Bellingham Bay was named by Captain George Vancouver when he charted the waters of northwestern Washington state in 1792. The bay was named for Sir William Bellingham, the chief accountant of the British Navy who provided supplies to Vancouver for his explorations.
The inland sea was named Puget Sound for Lieutenant Peter Puget, who served under Vancouver. When the third lieutenant, Joseph Baker, sighted a large, snow-capped mountain, Vancouver promptly named it Mount Baker.
The original inhabitants of what is now Bellingham were the Lummi Indians who lived off the land harvesting fish, shellfish, plants, deer, and other game animals. Captain Vancouver found a community of about 3,000 people living there. Today’s Lummi, Semiahmoo, Nooksack, and other Coast Salish people are descendants of peoples who made a great trek over the land bridge that once connected Asia to North America as long as 12,000 years ago.
About 60 years after Vancouver’s voyage, Henry Roeder and Russell V. Peabody from San Francisco came in 1852 looking for lumber to supply their town’s growing demands. They asked the Lummi chief if he knew of a place where water fell all the time from a high hill. The chief led them to Whatcom Falls where they built a saw mill and produced lumber until it burned in 1873. Roeder and his wife, Elizabeth, became the first white settlers in Whatcom County. Their son, Victor, founded Bellingham National Bank and in 1903, built a stately Craftsman-style home that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was donated to the county in 1971 for use as a cultural and social center.Whatcom falls bellingham waWhatcom falls.
In 1856, Captain George E. Pickett was sent to the area with a company of infantry to protect settlers from the Haida Indians. He built Fort Bellingham, the town’s first bridge, and a wood-frame ho
