EPIC BIKE RIDE - SANTA MONICA TO VENICE BEACH ????????????
Ride with us along the Marvin Braude Bike Trail, aka The Strand as we go from Santa Monica to Venice and stop off at the major points of interest along the way. Riding along The Stand is one of the most epic things to do in West Los Angeles. It covers 22 miles of scenic coastline along the Pacific Coast.
First, we rent bikes and head north on The Strand towards the Santa Monica Mountains. Next we go south and ride past the Santa Monica Pier, which is a national iconic landmark and features the Pacific Park amusement park and solar powered Ferris wheel.
Next, we go south to Venice Beach where we visit the Public Art Walls, Skate park, Muscle Beach, and Boardwalk. We pass by the famous street art and experience the lively people watching.
We end our tour back at our starting point, Santa Monica, where we ride past the original Hot Dog On A Stick, and do a photo shoot at the public art project Singing Beach Chairs. We get the last glimpses of magic hour sun before turning in our bike rentals for the day. Enjoy!

Venice Beach Bike Ride
While visiting my cousin in Los Angeles (my first trip there), we decided to bike from Venice Beach to the Santa Monica Pier and back. The weather at the beach was nice and sunny, making the bike ride even better.
We started near the Venice Fishing Pier and rode north along the Marvin Braude Bike Path to the Santa Monica Pier before returning the same way. I almost ran over a dog that had run loose, as you'll see early in the video, but I was riding slowly and was able to react in time.
After visiting the Santa Monica Pier, I attached the camera to my cousin's bike for the ride back. It's not that often that I can actually get a video of myself riding a bike (until I clone myself, of course). If you ever go to Venice Beach, I would strongly recommend renting one of the beach cruisers and heading along the paths.
Footage is shown at 1X and 3X speeds.

Venice Beach Bike Path 2019 4K
The Venice Beach Bike Path is a great place to hop on a set of wheels and have a great time. It's well laid out, lots to see and if you need anything, just pop off and it's all right there. You can rent bikes (powered too), boards and other toys.
It should be noted that scooter share's (Lime/ Bird) won't work on the path. They are geo-fenced and just die. Worse, if you get one, be wary of where you drop it as most places close to the beach will incur a hefty penalty. If you want power or power assist, there are share bikes that work and most rental shops have options.
This bike video is more of a B-Roll for us as we were just testing out our gimbal on wheels. Expect an update and full tour on our next trip to LA.
Thank you for watching and if you like what you see, please subscribe/ like as this helps us cover the costs of our next trip.
As always, comments are appreciated.

Los Angeles 4K - Venice Beach - Driving Downtown USA
Friday afternoon drive around Venice Beach. Video starts at the Venice canals (Venice Canal Historic District), continues to main entrance of Venice Beach, passes by Marina Del Ray, and ends along the main strip of Santa Monica Beach.
Venice Beach, which receives millions of visitors a year, has been labeled as a cultural hub known for its eccentricities as well as a global tourist destination. It includes the promenade that runs parallel to the beach (also the Ocean Front Walk or just the boardwalk), Muscle Beach, and the Venice Beach Recreation Center with handball courts, paddle tennis courts, a Skate Dancing plaza, and numerous beach volleyball courts. It also includes a bike trail and many businesses on Ocean Front Walk.
The basketball courts in Venice are renowned across the country for their high level of streetball; numerous professional basketball players developed their games or have been recruited on these courts.
Venice Beach will host skateboarding and 3x3 basketball during the 2028 Summer Olympics.
The Venice Canal Historic District is a district in the Venice section of Los Angeles, California. The district is noteworthy for its man-made canals built in 1905 by developer Abbot Kinney as part of his Venice of America plan. Kinney sought to recreate the appearance and feel of Venice, Italy, in Southern California.
Venice is a beachfront neighborhood within Los Angeles, California. Today, Venice is known for its canals, beaches, and the circus-like Ocean Front Walk, a two-and-a-half-mile (4.0 km) pedestrian promenade that features performers, mystics, artists and vendors.
In the later half of the 2010s, the neighborhood has faced severe gentrification raising real-estate prices and thereby pushing out long-term inhabitants.
It is located within the urban region of western Los Angeles County known as the Westside.
Venice was founded in 1905 as a seaside resort town. It was an independent city until 1926, when it merged with Los Angeles.
