A Ghost Town with a Freemason Temple - Victor, CO
Victor is a ghost city in Teller County, Colorado, United States. Gold was discovered in Victor in the late 19th century, an omen of the future of the town. With Cripple Creek, the mining district became the second largest gold mining district in the country and realized approximately $10 billion of mined gold in 2018 dollars. It reached its peak around the turn of the century when there were about 18,000 residents in the town (The population was 397 at the 2010 census.). Depleted ore in mines, labor strife and the exodus of miners during World War I caused a steep decline in the city's economy, from which it has never recovered.
Although the population of Victor may be low, the towns-people spirits are very high. The people I spoke to were very welcoming and knowledgeable about their hometown. So much so that I am returning this spring to have a tour by some of the people I met. I strongly suggest that you pay Victor a visit. In fact, they have several attractions, outside of the breathtaking views and well-preserved architecture. Some of my favorites include the Lowell Thomas Mining Museum, the cities walking tour, and the Vindicator Valley Trail.

Haunted Colorado: Riverdale Road
This video is for educational purposes.
Riverdale Road stretches 11 miles between Brighton and Thornton, Colorado. The famous haunted road has been home for hundreds of years to a Native American tribe whose shape shifting spirits are still said to roam the lands. Talking wolves and coyotes who walk on their hind legs are just a few of the reported sightings associated with the tribal hauntings. The curvy, unlit road is also home to the spirits of a deceased jogger who will chase your car and phantom cars that will instigate a race, only to disappear just before the finish line. Would you be brave enough to stop for the woman in white? Or would the so called voodoo on the land and dozens of documented deaths that have occurred here keep you far from ever visiting?
If you'd like a more in depth video on Riverdale's history and the murders that have occurred here, or even a live drive down Riverdale one night so you can ghost hunt along side us, please let us know in the comments below!

New Highway 9 Alignment
Highway 9 between Frisco and Breckenridge, CO has undergone a two year realignment, eliminating the dangerous Leslie's Curve. This is exciting stuff, as the highway has also been expanded to 2 lanes in each direction. Full opening coming soon, but for now, at least the hard work is finished. Great job all parties involved.
Gunsmoke
Gunsmoke is an American radio and television Western drama series created by director Norman Macdonnell and writer John Meston. The stories take place in and around Dodge City, Kansas, during the settlement of the American West. The central character is lawman Marshal Matt Dillon, played by William Conrad on radio and James Arness on television. When aired in the UK, the television series was initially titled Gun Law, later reverting to Gunsmoke.
The radio version ran from 1952 to 1961, and John Dunning writes that among radio drama enthusiasts Gunsmoke is routinely placed among the best shows of any kind and any time. The television version ran for 20 seasons from 1955 to 1975, and was the United States' longest-running prime time, live-action drama with 635 episodes. In 2010, Law & Order tied this record of 20 seasons (but only 456 episodes). At the end of its run in 1975, Los Angeles Times columnist Cecil Smith wrote: Gunsmoke was the dramatization of the American epic legend of the west. Our own Iliad and Odyssey, created from standard elements of the dime novel and the pulp western as romanticized by Buntline, Harte, and Twain. It was ever the stuff of legend.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.
