The Victoria Park, spanning a total area of 500 acres, is a forest conserved by the Indian Government within the boundary of the Bhavnagar city. Gaurishankar Lake lies the well-conserved Victoria Park. Sprawling over two sq km, Victoria Park was designed in the year 1888 by Mr. Proctor Sins for Maharaja Takhtasinhji of the Bhavnagar city.

A rare bird species, Baikal teal, was spotted in the Krishnakunj lake at Victoria Park in Bhavnagar. There has been no official photographic record of a sighting of this bird in the state since 1947. The bird is a migrant to India and is native to China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia and the Russian Federation.

victoria park incident 11 years in hope of justice II विक्टोरिया पार्क हादसा
आज से 11 साल पहले 10 अप्रैल 2006 को विक्टोरिया पार्क, वहां लगे उपभोक्ता मेले से गुलजार था। दिन ढलने लगा था कि अचानक मेले में आग लगी और देखते ही देखते चिंगारी शोलों में बदल गईं।
इसके बाद चीख-पुकार से आसपास का इलाका दहल उठा था। इस हादसे में आग से झुलसकर 64 लोगों की मौत हुई और 200 से ज्यादा लोग घायल हो गए। इस दर्दनाक हादसे ने पूरे देश को हिलाकर रख दिया था। आज भी इस हादसे में घायल लोग उस क्षण को याद कर सिहर उठते हैं। इसे हादसे के शिकार हुए लोगों को तमाम दावों और प्रयासों के बावजूद न्याय नहीं मिल सका।
विक्टोरिया पार्क हादसे के घायल और मृतकों के आश्रितों को इंसाफ दिलाने को लड़ाई लड़ रहे लंदन स्पोर्ट्स के मालिक संजय गुप्ता के परिवार के विक्टोरिया पार्क हादसे ने पांच सदस्यों को एक साथ छीन लिया था। यह अग्निकांड दुनिया की नजर में एक हादसा हो सकता है, लेकिन इस परिवार की पूरी जिंदगी ही इससे बिखर गई।
