A Walk Through The London Victoria Station, London, England
London Victoria station, generally known as Victoria, is a central London railway terminus and London Underground complex named after nearby Victoria Street the latter being named after Queen Victoria. With over 81 million passenger entries and exits between April 2013 and March 2014, London Victoria is the second-busiest terminus in London (and the UK) after London Waterloo, and includes an air terminal for passengers travelling by train to Gatwick Airport. It is one of 19 stations managed by Network Rail. The area around the station is an important interchange for other forms of transport: a local bus station is in the forecourt, and Victoria Coach Station for long-distance road coaches is nearby. Victoria is in Travelcard Zone 1.
Victoria is a London terminus for both Southern and Southeastern. Southern provides the majority of commuter/regional services to South London and Sussex as well as parts of East Surrey via the Brighton Main Line. Southeastern provides services in South East London and along the Chatham Main Line to Kent. It is also the terminus for the Gatwick Express service to Gatwick Airport.
There are effectively four railway stations on the site: on National Rail, two serving main-line routes in south eastern England, to Brighton, Hove, Worthing, Eastbourne, Canterbury and Dover; and on the London Underground, an underground station built by the cut-and-cover method serving the District and Circle lines and the deep-level Victoria line tube line station.
Victoria station (first referred as the Grosvenor Terminus) is the closest mainline station to Buckingham Palace.
London walk: London Victoria station to Buckingham Palace London walking tour
London walk from London Victoria train station to Buckingham Palace via Grosvenor Gardens and Victoria Square.
Join me on this first-person walk from London's Victoria train station through Lower Grosvenor Gardens and Victoria Square to Buckingham Palace along Buckingham Palace Road. We get a good chance to people-watch as we walk through both Victoria Station and Victoria Place on the upper level where there are shops and eateries. Joining Buckingham Palace Road we head towards Buckingham Palace but take a small detour via Lower Grosvenor Gardens and Victoria Square. Rejoining Buckingham Palace Road we walk past the Royal Mews and then the Queen's Gallery; it is then just a few minutes to Buckingham Palace which is having a busy day and we get to see someone celebrating receiving an award at the Palace - well done to them:) Leaving the palace, we finally head to Green Park where the walk ends, although I give you a quick glimpse of Green Park Station, the Diana Fountain and the Ritz Hotel (footage shot on another day) which is where the walk would have taken us had I not run out of battery.
This was a day of technical difficulties with my DJI Osmo which seemed to keep my phone on a mild tilt all day despite my attempts to balance it. Further, you can see the gimbal on quite a lot of the shots - this is an improved version putting it through the zoom function on Sony Vegas during editing. This is also why the place names appear quite low down on the screen. Conditions were not helped by it being windy giving rise to something of a bad hair day too - sorry for those times when strands of my hair fly in front of the camera.

Victoria Station to Buckingham Palace Virtual Walking Tour of London
Today's virtual walk is in London I walked from Victoria Station To Buckingham Palace.
Follow me on a Walking Tour Of London.
Victoria is the city centre and central business district of the City of Westminster, and is in Central and South West London, it is named after the major transport hub which covers large part of the district, Victoria Station, which is named after the nearby Victoria Street, in turn named after Queen Victoria.
The name is used to describe streets adjoining or nearly adjoining, including Victoria Street, Buckingham Palace Road, Wilton Road, Grosvenor Gardens, and Vauxhall Bridge Road. Victoria consists predominantly of commercial property and private and social housing, with retail uses along the main streets.
The area contains one of the busiest transport interchanges in London and the United Kingdom, including the listed railway station and the underground station, as well as Terminus Place, which is a major hub for bus and taxi services. Victoria Coach Station, 900 yards (800 metres) southwest of the railway station, provides road-coach services to long-distance UK and continental destinations.
Victoria Street runs on an east–west axis from Victoria station to Broad Sanctuary at Westminster Abbey. Cardinal Place, across the street from Westminster Cathedral, opened in 2006 and contains a selection of restaurants, banks and shops, including a Marks and Spencer store. Further along the street, there is a large House of Fraser department store (formerly the Army & Navy) opposite Westminster City Hall. At the Broad Sanctuary end is the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy building, the headquarters of Transport for London at Windsor House, and the former New Scotland Yard building (headquarters of the Metropolitan Police Service from 1967 to 2016).
Buckingham Palace is the London residence and administrative headquarters of the monarch of the United Kingdom. Located in the City of Westminster, the palace is often at the centre of state occasions and royal hospitality. It has been a focal point for the British people at times of national rejoicing and mourning.
Originally known as Buckingham House, the building at the core of today's palace was a large townhouse built for the Duke of Buckingham in 1703 on a site that had been in private ownership for at least 150 years. It was acquired by King George III in 1761 as a private residence for Queen Charlotte and became known as The Queen's House. During the 19th century it was enlarged, principally by architects John Nash and Edward Blore, who constructed three wings around a central courtyard. Buckingham Palace became the London residence of the British monarch on the accession of Queen Victoria in 1837.
