Top 5 Things to do in Hue, Vietnam
Hue is a small town in Vietnam full of rich culture and history. We spent 5 days exploring former royal palaces in the imperial citadel as well as tombs of some of the great Vietnamese Nguyen emperors.
For our first stop we take you to to the very famous Imperial City of Hue. Hue was the former capital of Vietnam two times throughout history and so Hue houses one of the most impressive ancient cities in Vietnam.
Address: Thành phố Huế, Thua Thien Hue, Vietnam
Hours: Monday - Sunday 8am–5:30pm
Next up we head to a local Vietnamese market nearby. The largest of its kind in Hue being Dong Ba Market. It's 16000 square meters (not km as mentioned in the video sorry!) Worth a visit if you're looking for some cheap goods or a wide variety of Vietnamese cuisine and street food.
Address: 2 Trần Hưng Đạo, Phú Hoà, Thành phố Huế, Thừa Thiên
Hours: Monday - Sunday 6am–6pm
One thing you don't want to miss while you're in Hue is the Perfume River. Its waterways run throughout the entire city and many of the most popular tourist destinations lie along Perfume River's banks. We decided to travel via boat.
We went through tour operators
On the boat ride down Perfume River we stopped off at our next destination - Thien Mu Pagoda. You can also reach Thien Mu Pagoda by car but it is a little bit far. Going by boat to Thien Mu Pagoda is definitely the best option.
Address: Hương Hòa, Thành phố Huế, Hương Hòa Thành phố Huế Thừa Thiên Huế 532761, Vietnam
Hours: Monday - Sunday 8am–6pm
Finally you can't leave Hue without viewing the impressive tombs of the famous Vietnam emperors. We chose a mix of traditional design and architecture by visiting Minh Mạng's tomb:
Address: QL49, Hương Thọ, Hương Trà, Thừa Thiên Huế, Vietnam
And also what had to have been our favourite destination of Hue which was the Royal Tomb of Khai Dinh which architecturally was ahead of its time.
Address: Khải Định, Thủy Bằng, Hương Thủy, Thừa Thiên Huế 530000, Vietnam
Both tombs open from
Hours: Monday - Sunday 7am–5:30pm

Amazing Hue's Street Nightlife in Vietnam
Street Night Life of Hue city in Vietnam was so amazing. Many small restaurant and boutiques on the street.
HUE - A SMALL TOWN IN VIETNAM
Huế is a city in central Vietnam that was the seat of Nguyen Dynasty emperors and the national capital from 1802 to 1945. A major attraction is its vast, 19th-century Đại Nội Citadel, surrounded by a moat and thick stone walls.

Hue is a small city in Vietnam with some beautiful places to visit. This is the company I did the tour with:
They take you to some really interesting places including a local village where we drive through rice fields and beautiful landscapes to get to a local market. We drive to a few different locations, but it's also really cool to just ride around the city and surrounding areas by motorbike.
We visit a local woman who makes the traditional Vietnamese hats... and she only has one arm since she lost it as a child from a land mine.
We also visit some old American bunkers from the Vietnam War in the forest near a beautiful river. Then we make our way to a shop where a local woman makes incense and Misha even gets a turn.
The last stop on our tour is from an old arena similar to the colosseum in Rome where they used to have animals fights each other to the death.
Hope you enjoyed taking the tour with us in Hue, Vietnam.
Next vlog features us exploring an abandoned waterpark in Hue and traveling to Hanoi.

Vietnam Sleeper Bus // Hoi An to Hue
You're not a true backpacker traveling through Vietnam without an experience on a sleeper bus. Whether you're traveling a few hours during the day or over 12 hours overnight, sleeper buses are a common mode of transportation to major destinations in Vietnam.
On the day I left Hoi An, I went to the Sinh Cafe office (not a sponsor) and booked a ticket on a three-hour route to the former capital, Hue. The cost was 99,000 dong (about US$4.40) and was able to book a back seat, which afforded more legroom but left me with the potential of lying next to two other people for the jounrey. Luckily, no one ends up shoulder to shoulder with me, and I was able to lounge with a lot of space around me.
Why I'm Traveling the World... Indefinitely:

10 Best Places to Visit in Vietnam - Travel Video
A long, narrow country squeezed in between the South China Sea and the Laos and Cambodia borders, Vietnam is a land of striking landscapes. Ranging from the lush rice terraces and forested mountains in the north to the picturesque valleys of the Central Highlands and the fertile delta and beautiful beaches of the south. Included in the mix are booming cities, colonial towns, traditional villages and otherworldly islands. Here’s a look at the best places to visit in Vietnam.
Dong Ba Market-My Favorite Food Market in Vietnam
I received a private tour (with my excellent guide Thanh) of Dong Ba Market in Hue, Vietnam, which was my favorite Vietnamese food market. The local food market is the heart and soul of every Vietnamese city and town and Dong Ba Market is no exception. It's the largest food market in Central Vietnam and like most Vietnamese food markets, about 90% of the vendors are women. Thousands of people come here every day and this market is full of hustle and bustle-anything you need is here!

Hue, Vietnam Travel Video Guide
Hue was the ancient imperial city of the Nguyen Dynasty. I visit the Citadel which once contained the forbidden city, and take a dragon boat tour along the Perfume River to view the Thien Mu Pagoda and the Tombs of the Emperors. I meet up with Nhi, a commerce student who takes me to Thanh Toan Bridge where we meet a fortune teller. Nhi discusses superstition in Vietnam and we both get our palms read.
