Aircraft History
The Fort Worth Aviation Museum’s F-111E was Air Force serial number 68-0009. It was constructed by General Dynamics (c/n A1-178, E-19) here in Fort Worth, Texas. It is there where it received it’s nickname “Balls 9” as the Air Force serial number depicts zeros and a “9.” It was accepted by the Air Force on November 10, 1969. It was first assigned to the 27th Tactical Fighter Wing, Tactical Air Command, at Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico. It was then assigned to the 20th Tactical Fighter Wing Gamblers,” US Air Forces Europe, beginning in January 1971. It carried the tail code UH as it was based at RAF Upper Heyford, Great Britain, for just over 21 years. During this time, the aircraft was seen in the markings of the 77th Tactical Fighter Squadron (TFS) and possibly the 79th TFS.
After retirement, “Balls 9” was transferred to AMARC as FV0093 on May 11, 1992, for storage. It remained in “the Boneyard” in Tucson, Arizona, until 2003. A museum in Connecticut acquired it but soon went out of business and “Balls 9” languished until 2007. The Fort Worth Aviation Museum discovered the aircraft in a salvage yard. With help from the B-36 Peacemaker Museum this aircraft was brought home to Fort Worth in 2008.

Places to see in ( Dallas - USA )
Places to see in ( Dallas - USA )
Dallas, a modern metropolis in north Texas, is a commercial and cultural hub of the region. Downtown’s Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza commemorates the site of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963. In the Arts District, the Dallas Museum of Art and the Crow Collection of Asian Art cover thousands of years of art. The sleek Nasher Sculpture Center showcases contemporary sculpture.
Dallas is the largest and most populated city in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, which is also referred to as DFW, North Texas, or The Metroplex. Located in the north central portion of the state, The Metroplex is the most populated area in Texas. The City of Dallas by itself is the third most populated in the state behind Houston and San Antonio. DFW is home to the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League, and you'll regularly be reminded of The Metroplex's mass enthusiasm for the team. With more shopping centers per capita than any other city in the US, Dallas is also known as a shopper's paradise.
Dallas is Texas' most mythical city, with a past and present rich in the stuff that American legends are made of. The 'Big D' is famous for its contributions to popular culture – notably the Cowboys and their cheerleaders, and Dallas, the TV series that once was a worldwide symbol of the USA. An upscale ethos makes for a vaunted dining and shopping scene, where the more conspicuous your consumption, the better.

Boeing B-29 Superfortress FIFI engine start and demo at California Capital Airshow 2016
California Capital Airshow 2016 was held in Sacramento Mather Airport.
During the two days show people could see a lot of static displayed aircraft on the ground, and a lot of demonstration flights in the air as well.
Higlights of the days were the Canadian Air Force demonstration pilot with his F-18 Hornet, and the Blue Angels NAVY demonstartion formation.
The Boeing B-29 Superfortress is a four-engine propeller-driven heavy bomber designed by Boeing which was flown primarily by the United States during World War II and the Korean War.
The type became famous by dropping the atomic bomb to Hiroshima and Nagasaki enging the II World War.
„FIFI” is one of the two Boeing B-29 which is still airworthy. It is owned by the Commemorative Air Force, currently based at the Vintage Flying Museum located at Meacham International Airport, Fort Worth, Texas. FIFI tours the U.S. and Canada, taking part in air shows and offering flight experiences.
A California Capital Airshow 2016 a Sacramentoi Mather repülőtéren került megrendezésre.
The Boeing B-29 Superfortress Enola Gay, Bockscar & FIFI
The Enola Gay is a Boeing B-29 Superfortress bomber, named for Enola Gay Tibbets, the mother of the pilot, Colonel Paul Tibbets, who selected the aircraft while it was still on the assembly line. On 6 August 1945, during the final stages of World War II, it became the first aircraft to drop an atomic bomb. The bomb, code-named Little Boy, was targeted at the city of Hiroshima, Japan, and caused unprecedented destruction.
Bockscar, sometimes called Bock's Car, is the name of the United States Army Air Forces B-29 bomber that dropped a Fat Man nuclear weapon over the Japanese city of Nagasaki during World War II in the second – and last – nuclear attack in history.
FIFI is a surviving Boeing B-29 Superfortress, and one of two that are currently flying. It is owned by the Commemorative Air Force, currently based at the Vintage Flying Museum located at Meacham International Airport, Fort Worth, Texas. FIFI tours the U.S. and Canada, taking part in air shows and offering flight experiences.

Castle's RA-3B Skywarrior — Dedication
Quiz Show 13, a Douglas RA-3B Skywarrior was saved from the chopping block and put display at the Castle Air Museum. The Skywarrior was originally designed in 1949 as a carrier based nuclear bomber and evolved into photoreconnaissance, electronic warfare, and aerial tanker version. Disassembly began at the Mojave Airport in January, 2010. Following eight one-week sessions, the aircraft was transported to the Castle Air Museum on December 16, 2010. The aircraft was then reassembled and dedicated on May 26, 2013.
Those in the Air Force would have known its fixed-wing cousin as the B-66 Destroyer.

Christmas lights flight over Fort Worth Dec 2, 2012
A great tour over Fort Worth at night on a Douglas C-47 which later was as a DC-3.
The DC-3 is given most of the credit for an almost 600% increase in airline passenger traffic between 1936 and 1941. Recognizing its great potential as a military transport, the United States Army specified a number of changes needed to make the aircraft acceptable for military use, including more powerful engines, the removal of airline seating in favor of utility seats along the walls, a stronger rear fuselage and floor, and the addition of large loading doors. A large order was placed in 1940 for the military DC-3, which was designated C-47 and became known as Skytrain, a name it would soon be asked to live up to.

This is a 1944 United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) training film detailing flight procedure, crew assignments, and armament of the B-29 Superfortress aircraft.
About the B-29:
The Boeing B-29 Superfortress is a four-engine propeller-driven heavy bomber designed by Boeing and was flown primarily by the United States during World War II. It was one of the largest aircraft used by the U.S. Army Air Forces and very advanced for its time. It featured a pressurized cabin, all dual wheeled, tricycle landing gears, and a remote, electronic fire-control system that controlled four machine gun turrets. A manned tail gun installation was semi-remote. The name Superfortress continued the pattern Boeing started with its well-known predecessor, the B-17 Flying Fortress.
Due to the B-29's highly advanced design for its time, the Superfortress remained in service long after 1945. The B-29 served in various roles throughout the 1950s. The Royal Air Force flew the B-29 as the Washington until phasing out the type in 1954. The Soviet Union produced an unlicensed reverse-engineered copy as the Tupolev Tu-4. The B-29 was the progenitor of a series of Boeing-built transports, tankers, reconnaissance aircraft and trainers including the B-50 Superfortress (the first aircraft to fly around the world non-stop) which was essentially a re-engined B-29. The type was finally retired in the early 1960s. The B-29 production total was 3,970 aircraft. Dozens of B-29s remain as static displays but only one example, FIFI, remains on flying status.
FIFI is a surviving Boeing B-29 Superfortress, and as of March 2016, the only one currently flying. It is owned by the Commemorative Air Force, currently based at the Vintage Flying Museum located at Meacham International Airport, Fort Worth, Texas. FIFI tours the U.S. and Canada, taking part in air shows and offering flight experiences.

Centennial of Naval Aviation Shows
2011 brings us the Centennial of a Naval Aviation, and what better way to celebrate than having an airshow! This video is a mash-up of both the Centennial Celebration from the South Texas Shootout at NAS Corpus Christi and the Air Power Expo at NASJRB Fort Worth. These were some of the first of many celebrations going on around the country throughout this year's airshow season. Both shows were very tough to film due to the incredibly windy conditions hindering some acts, and abbreviating others. However, the show organizers and pilots were able to pull everything together and put on some great flying!
