The Munich Airport Series - The Visitors' Center
MUC is well rounded airport, part of it's campus includes the visitors center which has some vintage aircraft on display as well as a play area, restaurant and an airline memorabilia shop and a great spotting hill. A great place to spend a day in the company of great aircraft!
Enjoy!

JULY 2017 -
On this trip to Munich, Germany, rather than staying in a hotel, we decided to rent an Airbnb apartment in a local neighborhood in Munich. The prices are not cheap in Germany, but I think in comparison to what you get for a hotel room, it's still a very good value. I was with my wife, my wife's sister, and our baby Micah.
In this Munich apartment tour, I walk you through the apartment. It's just a 1 bedroom apartment, but it's really spacious and would be very comfortable living for a single or couple.
One thing I love most about living in Germany or renting an apartment in Munich / Germany, is that German design and the awareness of natural light in the house. During the day, you don't need to use any electricity for lighting.
Thank you for watching, I hope this gives you an idea about accommodation options in Munich, Germany if you plan to visit or to live in Germany.
If you want to use Airbnb, you can use my affiliate link here: to get $32 off your first booking.

Frankfurt Airport visitors terrace reopening 07/28/2016 plane spotting
If you like the video, give us a thumps up???????? Thanks! ???? On July 28th 2016 Fraport reopened the newly renovated visitors terrace, unfortunately with a huge fence to avoid security checks before entering. Some free drinks were offered and there was entertainment for the kids. Here are some plane spotting highlights filmed through the fence which was quite difficult as there are only a few spotting holes for small cameras. The video starts with an Aeroflot B777-300ER and continues with Tuifly B737-800, Condor B767-300ER, Uzbekistan Airways, MIAT Mongolian Airlines, Vietnam Airlines B787 and takeoffs of Lufthansa B777-200F & B747-8

Munich Neighborhood Tour - Living in Germany, Supermarket, Parks, and Beer Garden!

JULY 2017 -
When my wife and I travel, we usually like to rent local apartments / houses to stay in rather than hotels - especially since we have a baby it makes it easier. But additionally, it also allows you to stay in a local neighborhood where you can experience the normal everyday life in a country.
In this video, we just set off on a walk around the Munich neighborhood that were staying in. First we needed to get a few groceries from the supermarket, then we continued walking to the local parks (by the way, there are some truly beautiful parks in Munich and green spaces), then we continued walking to a little farmers market, and on finally to a local beer garden which Munich is so famous for.
Hope you enjoyed this Munich, Germany neighborhood tour!

Visit Hitlers eagels nest
Hitler's Eagles Nest, Germany, still sits on a mountain peak high above Berchtesgaden in the Bavarian Alps.
In one of history's weird turns, Martin Bormann's birthday present to Adolf Hitler is now a cosy restaurant with a spectacular 360 degree view of the Alps.
This historic survivor of the Third Reich can only be reached by taking a special bus (or a strenuous 2-hour walk) to an elevator shaft set deep in the mountain.
Up at the Eagle's Nest
Once at the top, you can explore most of the rooms and have something to eat or drink in the same spot that Hitler, Eva Braun, Himmler and the rest had their banquets and entertained foreign diplomats. Outside, just past the beer garden terrace, a path leads up to a higher point well worth the short climb.
When the weather cooperates, the panorama is incredible. Right at eye level with the Alps, looking over both Germany and Austria, the jagged mountains march away in all directions. On a clear day, you can see Salzburg. Even when it's misty, the swirling clouds give it an pleasantly eerie feeling.
Hitler's fascination with the old Germanic legends is reflected in the style and location of the building.
The sturdy Kehlsteinhaus has a pseudo-medieval look inside, with its thick granite walls and heavy beamed ceilings: a modern day version of the mountain fortress where legendary Germanic heroes wait, like Barbarossa, sleeping under the Untersberg across the valley.
The Eagle's Nest wasn't damaged during the war, so it looks just like it did in April of 1945. Most of the furniture was removed by the occupying forces, but the red marble fireplace that Mussolini gave to Hitler is still there, minus some pieces chipped off by souvenir hunters.
The stone walls and beams in the ceilings are the original ones. Some of the light fixtures are original, others are copies of the originals - ditto for the wood paneling on the walls.
As you enter the Kehlsteinhaus, you come into a small, paneled dining area, now a restaurant with small tables serving a limited selection of food and drink. Take a look at the sideboard; it's the original one. This was the room where Hitler had a long dining table for banquets.
Going through the dining room and down a few steps takes you into the large, stone-walled room that was used for conferences and occasional parties. It's currently set up for additional diners. There are deep-set windows on three sides that look out over the Alps. Mussolini's fireplace is in here, along with some tacky souvenir racks.
This room was the setting for a party following the wedding of Eva Braun's sister, Gretl, and SS Officer Hermann Fegelein, on June 3, 1944. The Führer had Fegelein shot for desertion on April 29, 1945, the day before his own suicide in Berlin.

Baby Airbus taking off from Munich Airport (Germany)
Before Airbus took over the C-series program from Bombardier and integrated it as A220 into their own product range, a variant of their bestseller A320 was the smallest plane the European plane maker offered, the A318. This Baby A320 wasn't really a huge success, but every now and then you can catch a glimpse of a sample of this model. I managed to do this in March 2019, when I was able to capture an Air France (AF/AFR) A318 taking off from Munich airport (MUC/EDDM).
The plane featured in the video is an A318-100 with CFM-56 engines, that flies for Air France registered as F-GUGO since it entered service in 2006. In the video, you can see it taxi to and take off from runway 08L of Munich airport.

Visit Germany - The DON'Ts of Visiting Germany
Read the Blog on What Tourists Should Not Do When They Visit Germany:
Grab some of our gear
Germany is an amazing country to visit & travel through, this video covers the things that tourists and travelers shouldn't do when they are visiting Germany.
Filmed in Munich, Germany

The Don'ts of Visiting Germany
1. Don't Assume German Are The Cold Stereotypes You Have Heard of Your Whole Life.
2. Don't Jaywalk, so follow the rules in Germany.
3. Don't Forget the Pfand or deposit that you may put down for beer mugs, bottles, cans and other things. You can get that money back.
4. Don't forget to bring flowers or a small gift when visiting a German's home. Also, don't wear your shoes inside their homes.
5. Don't be disrespectful at the Nazi concentration camps and memorials around the country.
6. Don't Wait: when at restaurants or bars order as soon as you can as waiters do not come through to check on tables as often as they do in other countries.
7. Don't Experiment on Driving on the Autobahn. It can be very dangerous for first time drivers.
8. Don't Expect to Shop on Sundays in Germany.
9. Don't forget to bring cash. Germans love to pay in cash and some places will only accept cash. So be ready.
10. Don't expect to see just half timbered houses in Germany. It is a thriving modern country with tons of amazing culture, architecture and technology.

Central Europe by Train: Heidelberg, Munich, Salzburg, Vienna, Budapest, Prague
Visiting some of the most interesting cities in Germany, Hungary the Czech Republic and Austria.
Including Heidelberg, Munich, Salzburg, Vienna, Budapest, Prague.
You will find these fascinating places are loaded with wonderful attractions. We're presenting a summary of the trip showing you how you can do it. See more information about the tour, which is open to the public, on our website:
We love to travel by train in Europe. More comfortable than a bus, less hassles than flying, with lots of nice scenery gliding by.
Another popular way to travel here is the river cruise, but the problem is you only stay in the city for a day or less. So you really don't see that much on a river cruise.
Traveling by train gives you that flexibility to stay in a city for two or three days, as we do in our trip, producing a more authentic in-depth experience. Jump to city by clicking timecode

Best and Cheap Motel in Munich
As a group of 4 we visited Munich during our central Europe trip in April 2018. Accommodation in Munich is much expensive than other Central European Countries. Mostly Airbnb’s are cheaper in other cities but when we were searching for Airbnb in city center or 10 km away from city center it was much expensive approx. INR 45K to 50K for 3 nights. In our search we came across Leto motel which cost only 16K inclusive of all taxes for 3 nights. Leto motel has total 3 properties in Munich city.
