Ireland’s Cliffs of Moher, complete visit
This complete visit to the Cliffs of Moher combines several earlier movies into one in-depth visit. You are going to discover the best way to visit the Cliffs of Moher along the wild west coast of Ireland, the country's most popular natural attraction – spectacular sea cliffs 700 feet high, dropping vertically into the Atlantic Ocean, with a trail along the edge and numerous vistas from which you can enjoy it.
We' re going to show you some of the best angles, with tips so that you can get the most out of your experience. Whether you're just watching it now, or hopefully, going there yourself in person. As you can see, it's an amazing destination.
Not only is it a visual feast but it's a real physical experience of being here at the edge of a cliff, and yes, you can go right up to the edge.
You need to be very careful. Don't get too close to the edge, and watch your footing, but you will be fine. Take your time. Sit down and soak in the view.
We're showing the vista from the south side of the visitor center and there's also the view from the north side of the visitor center, so you have two different angles to enjoy it from; and depending on the lighting and time of day, one angle is usually better than the other one. The most enjoyable strategy when visiting is be sure you have at least one hour, so that you can experience both viewpoints, starting at the visitor center then up the main steps, then later take a left and walk along the cliff.
On the map you'll see the route that most people start with, passing the visitor center and going up those stairs, and then head south where you get to walk along the cliff and get a different experience altogether, which is usually more spectacular than that first viewpoint.
We shall explain the details of this routing with these illustrated arrows, the blue arrow pointing up those main steps, and the red arrow pointing towards the cliff walk we will get to in a minute, but first let's take you up that main vista. It's a bit uphill, but there is an efficient series of steps and ramps that will bring you right up there, up to O'Brien's Tower.
From here you get a really commanding view looking at that classic lineup, right out of a postcard. However at midday, sometimes the lighting from this side is not so great. In late afternoon it's fine, but at midday when most people visit, you also want to go around to the south side.
Just continue along the path and you'll soon find better lighting at the cliff's edge.

HIKING AROUND OSLO // Guided hike w/ epic views and a cold swim | Oslo, Norway
I went on a hiking tour with Viking Biking (not sponsored, I paid for my own tour ☺️) because I had a few days to myself in Oslo, Norway and wanted to see more than just the city. Besides, a tour is a GREAT way to not be alone, do something fun, get a workout, and meet awesome people.
It worked! I even hung out with two people from the tour after it was over and we went to the Sculpture Garden.
There are a couple of funny bits and you just have to watch the whole thing to see them!

Slieve League Cliffs
Standing at the viewing point on Sliabh League in Donegal Ireland an amazing sea vista and landscape open before you. From here we can see across Donegal Bay to counties Letrim, Sligo and Mayo, out to the west is the Atlantic ocean as far as the eye can see. North west is Rathlin O' Byrne island and Glencolmcille and here beside you of course is the magnificent cliffs ofSliabh Liag. Rising almost 2000 ft / 598 m from the Atlantic, one of the highest sea cliffs in Europe and twice as high as the cliffs of Mohar, at the base of the cliffs is the Giants Desk and Chair. but just as amazing as this view ,is the history we can see here. Over there is Benbulbin with megalithic tombs and mythical links to Finn McCool and the Fiona of old. Below Knoch na Rí at Carrowmore lies one of the largest and oldest known Neolithic cemeteries in Europe. Between you and the Sligo shore is Inishmurry home to early Celtic Christian monks. Further along the coast in county Mayo is the little port of Killala, scene of the French landings in 1798 . They came to help the United Irish men in their rebellion against the British crown. Unable to succeed, the French men made peace and sailed home again. If we look closer to hand at Carrigan head we can see one of the Signal Towers built by the British to watch out for the return of the French. Up there on top of Sliabh Leig is an early Christian monastic site with the remains of Ade mc Bric's chapel still to be seen, as are the ruins of the monks stone dwellings or bee hive huts as they are called. Take a walk across the one man's path and there you will find a trig point, placed atop of an ancient structure of unknown origin. This is a sacred mountain, for over a thousand years there was a Christian pilgrimage, no doubt Sliabh League was a sacred mountain before the Christians arrived here. You should remember this when visiting, so please do not disturb these monuments of Irish cultural heritage to suit some passing fancy you may have. These are cultural remains as important to Irish heritage as Stonehenge is to English heritage or the Coliseum is to Rome. On Sliabh League they are not fenced in, but you need to have respect for our heritage as you would have for others.
During WW2 the south of Ireland, while neutral, had agreements with the allies, one of which was the Donegal corridor. this was a free fly zone for allied aircraft to fly from Enniskillen in Northern Ireland out over the Atlantic. The word Éire was placed in stone on headlands around Donegal, to act as navigaetion aid, here on Sliabh League you can see one today beside the viewing point car park. originally stones were placed on the ground to spell Éire and painted bright white, now partly over grown you can still make out most of the word and the numbers above it. Look out for another one on your way back down the road. There's much more to know about sliabh league, like the monks who went to Iceland or the eagle and the baby and much more but all that for another day. Enjoy your visit and call in to Tí Linn for a cup of coffee and some home cooking. Slan go foil.

The Cliffs of Moher - 023
On the second day of my Ireland trip (that you all voted to send me on), I had to see Ireland's most famous landmark—the majestic Cliffs of Moher. Because I was able to take a tour from Galway instead of Dublin or Cork, we had enough time to visit Inis Oírr in the Aran Islands, as well as to take a boat ride right up underneath the cliffs...
My camera almost died making this video. I also had never been more drenched in my life.
EDITING NOTE: I have literally NEVER had as many challenges filming a video as I did this day—the wind was so crazy, and the giant swells while we were on the ferry made catching a stable shot nearly impossible haha... so if you notice a shot that looks a little weird... you should see what it looked like right out of the camera ;)
1-2/32 Challenge Mountain Hiking Ireland Arderin 527m.
First top reached ⛰⛰⛰????????????
The first impressions of the trip quite nice we drove most of it ???????? hiking itself took around 20min ???? and I wouldn't even call it climbing, but rather fording through mud'' :D leg were wet after a couple of minutes. (you will see in my video blog;)). The poor #asics ???? Anyway, on the way kids found a bit of snow ❄ and of course tasted it ;) Even received few candies from another hiker coming down ????
So, we reach the goal ???? admired great views ⛰took some photos ???? children colored their book (That was their little goal) ???????? had a picnic ???? and that the journey does not end so quickly decided to go back through the other side. We thought that if we cross the meadows will be back on the main road... jeee right! ???????? again had to wade only this time through the grass???????? which cost us baby's soother ???? baby was so good and didn't notice that until we bought a new one in the nearest village; )
In short, from the grass, we end up ➡ in the forest ????
As children said: It's a jungle! Did not found any mushrooms (not a season ????) neither met any animals ???????????????? successfully reached the road and walked towards the car where had nice picnic ☕
Resume↙
➡if not a laugh wading through grass and a walk in the woods, mountain, really unimpressive :( enough to fully enjoy the view passing by car.
➡always have spare dry or rubber boots for changing ????
➡chain baby's soother ????
➡before trip empty camera's memory card ???? (lucky had the phone ;))
➡have cash ???? as small villages does not ???? accept cards
Hope mentioned everything ✔
Follow up for video blog and it would be nice if you could contribute to our challenge to support children ❗????????????
It's so nice to do a good job ❤

Giant's Causeway on the Fabulous Northern Ireland Coast
I'm out on the wild and windswept Antrim coast of Northern Ireland, heading to the extraordinary Giant's Causeway, on the trail of the legendary Finn MacCool.
It's a fantastic walk from Ballintoy – where they film Game of Thrones – along the coast to reach the National Trust-protected bay, whose amazing rock formations look like they're from a different planet.
Plus, I fall in the water and show the results with my trusty Butt-Cam – what's not to like?

Connemara, Sky Road, Kylemore Abbey, Ireland
Connemara, Ireland features the Sky Road scenic drive and Kylemore Abbey, set amid beautiful green hills lined with stone walls in the west of Ireland. It is a region of coastal views, rolling farmlands, open meadows, winding country roads, and the big attraction, Kylemore Abbey, which is one of Ireland’s great castles that was a former private estate, then a girl’s school operated by Benedictine nuns.
Kylemore Abbey has become the most popular visitor attraction in the west of Ireland, famous for its beautiful mansion on the lake and extensive gardens all around -- certainly one of the most beautiful sites you’ll ever see.
The Abbey is easily reached on a day-trip from Galway city, which makes an ideal home base for exploring the majestic beauties of this area. You’ll find that Galway is a great town for strolling along its pedestrian main street with many shops and restaurants, including numerous pubs with live Irish music on offer. There are many fine hotels in Galway in a variety of price ranges to give you a good place to rest.
It’s just a quick look at Galway for now, which we show more of in our other Irish movies, then we’ll take you on a spectacular drive through Connemara and around the famous Sky Road, with some of the best views in Ireland, on our way to Kylemore Abbey, the main star of this show.
You’ll see that getting there is half the fun, driving north from Galway through the scenic grandeur of Connemara, passing through the villages of Moycullen and Oughterard, then stopping at Ballynahinch Castle Hotel.
That Sky Road scenic loop follows the famous coastal route west of the town of Clifden, with miles of stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and shoreline communities. We did quite a bit of stopping and getting out of the van while driving through Connemara to enjoy the landscape, take a good look at and snap some pictures, and stop for some shopping at a traditional Irish gift shop.
Kylemore Abbey is one of the great highlights of Ireland. It was a former private mansion. And then it was a Benedictine Abbey, and became a private school for girls, and now it’s a major tourist attraction as you can see because it's so beautiful here on the lake. There is also a large flower garden, two places to eat, and lovely walking paths to explore the extensive grounds and stroll along the lakeshore. It really is a wonderful spot to see in Ireland.
Probably the best part of the visit is simply looking at the Abbey across the beautiful lake. But you also get to go inside and tour the former mansion, and explore the surrounding property.
The Catholic girl school was operated by Benedictine nuns and it was open from 1923 until it closed in 2010. There's still an order of Benedictine nuns who live here and operate the facilities. We had a chance to speak with Sister Magdalena, one of the nuns who tells us about the Abbey.
You could walk from the Abbey to the gardens, but it is about half a mile. And so they provide a shuttle bus to bring you from the Abbey over to the garden. You can walk around and then take the bus back again.
As described on their excellent website, the Victorian Walled Garden is an oasis of splendor in the wild Connemara Countryside. First developed in the early days of the Castle during the late 1800s it once boasted 21 heated glass houses and a work force of 40 gardeners. One of the last walled gardens built during the Victorian period in Ireland.
In earlier years the garden fell into decline and became completely overgrown, with brambles and trees hiding all traces of it’s former glory. The Benedictine nuns began an extensive program of restoration in 1995 and in the year 2000 the Garden was opened to the public. The Garden is divided in two by a beautiful mountain stream that runs through a small shaded fernery, an important feature of any Victorian Garden.
We then finish with a music video showing more of the scenic landscapes of Connemara and the Sky Road.
CMV Magellan Cruise 2017 |Day 8 | GIBRALTAR
This is our penultimate day ashore and we are in the beautiful and quirky country that is Gibraltar.
Gibraltar lies in between Spain and Portugal's most Southern parts. It roughly has 40,000 inhabitants, but is only 1 city big.
The port is a huge port of trade, housing hourly ships from Africa, Asia and America.
Apart from industry, it is also a huge hub of tourism, with it's airport ( which separates it from Spain) catering for the demand.
In the country, you use Pounds Sterling £ , but most places also accept euro.
There is an abundance of shops available, ranging from luxury street brands such as Gucci, Armani and Prada, to shops such as Next, Zara and there's even a Morrison's.
It's essentially a small taste of Britain in a yearly warm climate.
One thing that you notice straight away when in Gibraltar is the massive mountain that is nicknames The Rock This has a magnificent cave, many underground tunnels, Europe's most southerly point and not to forget is occupied by a huge troop of cheeky monkeys.
Gibraltar is a place like no other and absolutely worth a visit!
