Voorhees Town Center (Echelon Mall) - Raw & Real Retail
This is our walkthrough of the Voorhees Town Center, formerly known as the Echelon Mall in Voorhees, NJ from December 18, 2018. This mall has had quite the rumors floating around about possible demolition plans. It has come to light (thanks xx26killers26xx!) that these rumors are exactly that, and the true plans are to renovate the existing enclosed mall and build a lifestyle center around it. Look below for the official document.
Plans for the renovation of this mall were announced in this pdf on Voorhees Township's website:

Here is some history from Wikipedia:
Voorhees Town Center (formerly Echelon Mall) is a regional shopping mall and residential area located in Voorhees Township, New Jersey. It was built in 1970 and named after Echelon Airfield which was located where the mall stands today. The Echelon Mall was renamed Voorhees Town Center in 2007. Boscov's serves as the only anchor of the mall, while Macy's closed in 2017.
The site on which the Echelon Mall was built began as an airfield; nearly 200 acres of farmland bought by flying enthusiasts Rogers and Jeannette Smith in 1939. The Echelon Airfield was incorporated in 1944 and went on to house 20 planes. In 1969, groundbreaking occurred to construct the Echelon Mall. Developed by The Rouse Company, the mall opened in 1970.
Until redevelopment began in January 2007, the Echelon Mall had a gross leasable area of 1,127,308 square feet. This made it the second largest mall in southern New Jersey after the Cherry Hill Mall. Echelon was developed in 1970 as the center of a residential and commercial center in Voorhees. In October 1992, the Echelon Mall opened a family entertainment center called Exhilarama, which was owned and operated by Edison Brothers Stores. Exhilarama was a popular indoor amusement center throughout the mid-1990s until it closed in 1996. Housed in the same building as Exhilarama, was a General Cinema movie theater, which closed a few years later. The building was demolished and the land was used to provide parking for the mall.
Echelon was a popular mall up until around 2000, when the mall began to struggle, and by 2005, the vacancy rate was nearly 75%. Echelon had several problems that contributed to its high vacancy rate, including overexpansion. Sears, which was built in 1998, closed just three years later. Also, the rest of the mall did not receive a much needed renovation to stay competitive and attractive. JCPenney left the mall shortly after Sears. There had been a gradual loss of national chains since. Most of the upper level is vacant, especially in the section near Macy's.
After its proposal for a Walmart store was rejected by residents, PREIT submitted plans to demolish the abandoned anchor stores and adjacent mall space to make way for a mixed-use town center featuring a 65,000-square-foot supermarket and 130,000 square feet of retail stores along a landscaped boulevard. PREIT renovated the downsized mall to house 253,000 square feet of small specialty shops along with anchor stores Macy's and Boscov's.
The mall was officially renamed as Voorhees Town Center. The groundbreaking ceremony on the redevelopment project was on January 30, 2007. The former Sears and JCPenney buildings, and the mall corridor between Macy's and the former JCPenney were demolished.
In December 2007, work was completed on the mall portion of the town center. Condos and new office complexes were also built around the same time. In May 2011, the Voorhees Township municipal offices relocated to the town center. According to PREIT, the Voorhees Town Center is only the third mall in the United States to be anchored by municipal offices.
In October 2015, PREIT sold the Voorhees Town Center for $13.4 million after Macy's announced the closure of 36 unspecified stores. On January 4, 2017, it was announced that Macy's would be closing in spring 2017 as part of a plan to close 68 stores nationwide which left Boscov's as the only anchor left.

Voorhees Town Center Voorhees Township, New Jersey (Schindler 330A HT)
This might have been installed when the mall went under renovations and the JCPenney wing was demolished. Could have been glass as it's on the side of the building.

This was the first elevator I filmed in Voorhees. When my mom first worked up there, I used to think of the name Voorhees as in the song For he's a Jolly Good Fellow, hence why I decided to go for that theme in the thumbnail.

Moorestown Mall - Raw & Real Retail
This is our walkthrough of the Moorestown Mall from November 29, 2018. This is not a dead mall, although it certainly belongs on the B-list mostly due to its proximity to the Cherry Hill Mall. It recently underwent a major renovation and looks to be on the rebound if it can keep filling empty spaces at and around the Sears anchor.
Songs used in this video (in order):
Desmond Champ - Shades of Soul
Derek Austin - Idle Island
Jean-Luc Ponty - Mirage
Jean-Michel Jarre - Magnetic Fields Part 1

In the meantime, here is some info from Wikipedia:
The Moorestown Mall is a shopping mall in Moorestown, New Jersey, owned by Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust. The mall has over 90 stores and is anchored by Boscov's, Lord & Taylor and Sears.
Originally opened for business in 1963, Moorestown Mall underwent a partial renovation in 1986 and was completely renovated in 1993-94,after a serious fire damaged the northeast quarter of the mall on December 23, 1992. The Strawbridge's (later Macy's) store was rebuilt in 1999 after the fire. Prior to The Rouse Company's purchase of the center in December 1997, Lord & Taylor had committed to opening a store at the mall. Nordstrom also considered opening a location in South Jersey but they did not commit to the mall's expansion plans.
In an attempt to protect the Cherry Hill Mall, a mere 3 miles (4.8 km) away, The Rouse Company acquired the Moorestown Mall. Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust acquired the Cherry Hill Mall, Echelon Mall, Moorestown Mall, Exton Square, Plymouth Meeting Mall, and Gallery at Market East in exchange for Christiana Mall on March 7, 2003.
The Cherry Hill Mall recently underwent a major expansion to accommodate high end stores, and Moorestown unerwent a renovation of its own in 2012. Chipotle Mexican Grill has accompanied the new renovation. Activity on the northeast parking lot of the mall yielded a new Pei Wei Asian Diner, along with Potbelly Sandwich Works, opened in summer 2008.
In 2011, Moorestown residents voted to allow liquor sales at the Moorestown Mall in order to increase revenues at the mall. As a result, several upscale, polished casual restaurants have been opened, highlighted by the Philadelphia region's first Yard House and a restaurant from the Garces Group.
On December 22, 2011, PREIT and the Regal Entertainment Group announced their intent to build a new state-of-the-art 56,000 sq ft 12-screen theater known as Regal Moorestown Mall Stadium 12, which will feature the new Regal Premium Experience (RPX). The theater took over the 7-screen United Artists Theaters at the mall, while a formerly adjacent skate park was used as an expansion to the new theater which more than doubled the size of the current theater. Additionally, the development marked the first RPX theater in the market, which features digital projectors, surround sound, 2D and RealD 3D, stadium seating with high-back rocking recliner seats, and Regal Express kiosks for automated ticket purchasing. Although opened with standard theater seats, all screens were renovated less than two years later to include full power reclining seats on all screens. The RPX theater features the same new seating with the addition of tactile sound technology from ButtKicker.
In 2015, the mall's food court was redeveloped and upgraded to provide an enhanced environment that better matches the merchandising mix and upscale demographics.
On January 4, 2017, it was announced that Macy's would be closing as part of a plan to close 68 stores nationwide. The store closed in March 2017.
On February 8, 2018, it was announced that HomeSense, and Sierra Trading Post would be opening in the former Macy's space. It is unknown when these two stores will open.
HomeSense opened in September 2018, Five Below opening in Winter of 2018 and Sierra Trading Post opening in Winter/Spring 2019.
