Gaithersburg Water Park Drone, Gaithersburg, MD
Gaithersburg Water Park Drone, Gaithersburg, MD. Enjoy a summer day at the Water Park! Intended for recreational swimming, the main pool is like a dream vacation on an island resort with palm trees, multiple slides, floatable animals, and a “tumble bucket” water feature for children to enjoy. The pool also has a zero-depth entry, making it accessible to all.
The Water Park, located within the 57-acre campus of Bohrer Park, opened in 1990 and has served approximately 1.6 million patrons; nearly 80,000 annually. This facility is used by families, summer camps and day care providers. It provides a safe and active environment that serves as a popular outdoor recreation facility for the 60,000 Gaithersburg residents and nearby communities. A major attraction at the Water Park (for those 48 inches and taller) is the double water slide that is 250 feet long and twists and turns into the main pool. For the adventuresome, the blue slide offers a breathtakingly fast ride, while the white slide offers a tamer, slower water journey. Choose the trip that suits you!
The children's splash pool, designed for children 54 inches tall and under, includes a custom in-water play structure with open and closed flume slides that pays homage to the state of Maryland with Black-Eyed Susan and Blue Heron play features.
There are play pieces outside the pool, plenty of shade for little ones, and a special eating area for families. For your convenience, there is even a bathroom located within the fenced area equipped with a changing station.
The locker rooms are designed to accommodate the needs of our patrons and feature child-height hair dryers, baby changing stations, lower toilet facilities, a family changing room and all traditional amenities.
Your day at the park is not limited to the water and sun! Enjoy our playground, picnic tables and a snack bar managed by Boardwalk Fries. You'll also find high back sand chairs and chaise lounges spread throughout the park. And when you need to get out of the sun, there are plenty of shaded areas.
The Gaithersburg Water Park prides itself on providing a safe and pleasant environment for its patrons; one visit and you’ll want to come back for more. City Residents and Nonresidents have the option of either paying a daily admission fee or purchasing a summer membership (family, individual, or two-person) at substantial savings.
