weifang beach such a beautifull place . where anyone can enjoy a day long . there is lots of things to do . there is 4or5 five star hotels 20-25 resturants and many more . the beach totally secure for man and women . and the weifang beach is not so much expensive . if one person think budget 100to 150 rmb he or she can easily trip to weifang beach from weifang city . there is a bus no 78 the bus take to near the beach. after that you have to take teaxi like us we are 17 people go toghter thats why we take three car they take from us 270rmb for round trip bus stand to bus stand . is the beach there is shower taking place for man and woman both . they take for 15 rmb for each person .

Qingdao, best known in the West by its Postal map spelling Tsingtao, is a sub-provincial city in eastern Shandong province, People's Republic of China. It borders Yantai to the northeast, Weifang to the west and Rizhao to the southwest. Lying across the Shandong Peninsula while looking out to the Yellow Sea, Qingdao today is a major seaport, naval base, and industrial center. It is also the site of the Tsingtao Brewery. The character (qing) in Chinese means green or lush, while the character (dao) means island. It was recently named China's 9th-most livable city by China Daily.

Weifang International Kite Festival / April
Mark your calendars for April 20 - 25. Weifang International Kite Festival is an annual kite-flying festival held from April 20 to 25th in Weifang, China. Weifang, Shandong, China is known as the kite capital of the world as people consider Weifang to be the birthplace of kites.
On April 1, 1984, with the help and support of the Chairman of the Seattle Kite Association, David Checkley, the first International Kite Festival was held in Weifang. On April 1, 1988, the presidium of the Weifang International Kite Festival unanimously adopted a proposal to set Weifang as the Kite Capital. In the following year, during the Sixth Kite Festival, the International Kite Federation was founded by representatives from China, the USA, Japan, the UK, Italy, and twelve other countries, with the headquarters also being set in Weifang. During the Festival, performances are held in the evening with various Chinese singers performing at the gala.

Weifang is a prefecture-level city in central Shandong province, People's Republic of China. It borders Dongying to the northwest, Zibo to the west, Linyi to the southwest, Rizhao to the south, Qingdao to the east, and looks out to the Laizhou Bay to the north.
Weifang is a historical city with well known figures. Emperor Shun of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors period, the politician Yan Ying of the Spring and Autumn Period, the Confucian scholar Zheng Xuan of the Estern Han Dynasty and the agriculturist Jia Simiao of the Northern Wei Dynasty were all from Weifang. Kong Rong, Fan Zhongyan, Ouyang Xiu, Su Dongpo, Zheng Banqiao, et al. have worked in Weifang historically. In more recent years, revolutionists, literateurs and artists, such as Wang Jinmei, Chen Shaomin, Wang Yuanjian, Wang Tongzhao, Zang Kejia are well known in China. Weifang also boasts of historical relics and other tourist sites, such as Shihu Garden (from the Late Ming and early Qing Dynasty), Fangong Pavilion (from the Song Dynasty), fossile sites (including dinosaur fossils, in Shanwang, Linqu), Mount Yi National Forest Park, Mount Qingyun and the Old Dragon Spring. Weifang is the world capital of kites. The woodcut new years paintings from Yangjiabu are well known.

A giant Ferris wheel in the city of Weifang, Shandong province, was opened for public, Saturday. Standing at 145 metres high (476ft), it has become the world's largest spokeless Ferris wheel.
SOT, resident (Mandarin): It's a very good thing. The weather is great now. You can play with the children. The ferris wheel is close to the sea. You can play together in these two places. This is very good.
SOT, resident (Mandarin): I am very proud that it is the largest and highest ferris wheel with no axis because of this meaningful building, Weifang tourism will boost.
SOT, local (Mandarin): As a native of Weifang, I am looking forward to the ferris wheel. Weifang should have two ferris wheels. The first one in Fuhua and the second near the Bailang River Wetland Park. One is in the city, one is on the beach. The view will not be the same. I''m looking forward to the largest ferris wheel. From the north side of the ferris wheel you can see the sea; while from the south there is the developing Binhai area.
SOT, local (Mandarin): I like this feeling to look at the city from above. It will certainly drive the Binhai's and even Weifang's economy.
SOT, tourist (Mandarin): Sometimes people get engaged here. The ferris wheel will also look very nice during fireworks.
SOT, tourist (Mandarin): Weifang is a kite capital. When people talk about Weifang, they think of kites, and now they may also think of the ferris wheel. I think this will make Weifang tourism better and better.
