The Trail is perfect for an afternoon walk, biking or jogging expedition, rollerblading adventure, or day-long tour of old Florida. Featured in the are Trail destinations such as the Oakland Nature Preserve, the City of Oakland, and historic downtown Winter Garden. Located on the West Orange Trail in Winter Garden is the Edgewater Hotel. The Hotel has been restored as a bed and breakfast style inn. It is a great Orlando bed & breakfast destination. Downtown Orlando to north start of West Orange Trail Part 2
I decided to record the West Orange Trail in full, but first I had to get there! Here's my ride from the Clarcona-Ocoee Rd and Hiawassee Rd intersection to Rock Springs and Lester Rd. This section is just over 9 miles. The West Orange Trail technically starts just before the end of this video but the bike trail is paved for another 2 or so miles.

The C.R.A.B.S. rode the WOT from Winter Garden to Clarcona Horse Park and back. Then on to Killarney Station. Beautiful weather made this another great CRABS ride.

As a part of my training for my next triathlon I rode my first really long bike ride - 45 miles. Up until this ride I had maybe gone 20 miles. So this was a big accomplishment for me to actually make it all the way. Of course I had the support of my husband and some friends along the way.
