Washington DC 4K - The US Capital - Driving Downtown - USA
Washington, D.C., formally the District of Columbia and commonly referred to as Washington or D.C., is the capital of the United States. Founded after the American Revolution as the seat of government of the newly independent country, Washington was named after George Washington, first President of the United States and Founding Father. Washington is the principal city of the Washington metropolitan area, which has a population of 6,131,977. As the seat of the United States federal government and several international organizations, the city is an important world political capital. Washington is one of the most visited cities in the world, with more than 20 million annual tourists.
The city hosts 177 foreign embassies as well as the headquarters of many international organizations, trade unions, non-profit, lobbying groups, and professional associations, including the Organization of American States, AARP, the National Geographic Society, the Human Rights Campaign, the International Finance Corporation, and the American Red Cross.
The White House is the official residence and workplace of the President of the United States. It is located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C. and has been the residence of every U.S. President since John Adams in 1800. The term, White House, is often used as a metonym for the president and his advisers.
The modern-day White House complex includes the Executive Residence, West Wing, East Wing, the Eisenhower Executive Office Building—the former State Department, which now houses offices for the President's staff and the Vice President—and Blair House, a guest residence. The Executive Residence is made up of six stories—the Ground Floor, State Floor, Second Floor, and Third Floor, as well as a two-story basement. The property is a National Heritage Site owned by the National Park Service and is part of the President's Park. In 2007, it was ranked second on the American Institute of Architects list of America's Favorite Architecture.
The United States Capitol, often called the Capitol Building, is the home of the United States Congress, and the seat of the legislative branch of the U.S. federal government. It is located on Capitol Hill at the eastern end of the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Though no longer at the geographic center of the Federal District, the Capitol forms the origin point for the District's street-numbering system and the District's four quadrants.
The original building was completed in 1800 and was subsequently expanded, particularly with the addition of the massive dome, and expanded chambers for the bicameral legislature, the House of Representatives in the south wing and the Senate in the north wing. Like the principal buildings of the executive and judicial branches, the Capitol is built in a distinctive neoclassical style and has a white exterior. Both its east and west elevations are formally referred to as fronts, though only the east front was intended for the reception of visitors and dignitaries.
The National Mall is a landscaped park within the National Mall and Memorial Parks, an official unit of the United States National Park System. It is located near the downtown area of Washington, D.C., the capital city of the United States, and is administered by the National Park Service (NPS) of the United States Department of the Interior.
The National Mall contains and borders a number of museums of the Smithsonian Institution, art galleries, cultural institutions, and various memorials, sculptures, and statues. The park receives approximately 24 million visitors each year.
Pennsylvania Avenue is a diagonal street in Washington, D.C. that connects the White House and the United States Capitol. Called America's Main Street, it is the location of official parades and processions, as well as protest marches. Moreover, Pennsylvania Avenue is an important commuter road and is part of the National Highway System.
Independence Avenue is a major east-west street in the city of Washington, D.C., in the United States, and is lined with museums and federal office buildings.
Freedom Plaza, originally known as Western Plaza, is an open plaza in Northwest Washington, D.C., United States, located at the corner of 14th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW, adjacent to Pershing Park. The John A. Wilson Building, the seat of the District of Columbia government, faces the plaza, as does the historic National Theatre, which has been visited by every U.S. President since it opened in 1835. Three large hotels are to the north and west.

???? ROAD TRIP ACROSS USA 2018 ❗❗❗
???? I had dream to drive across the USA, from coast to coast. Of course, the preparations were essential, because I have never been to USA and this country was completely unknown to me. Approximately six months before the road trip each day of the trip was thoroughly planned.
???? During the preparations there were plenty of questions regarding the car rental, accommodation, food cost, whether you need a visa, insurance, where to book an affordable flight tickets from Europe, etc. Summer 2018 I made this dream a reality. The trip was 5 week long and we managed to cover more than 11 000 km across 18 states. Our starting point was New York ???? and the end destination was Los Angeles. What happened in-between is hard to put in words, so I tried to video record as much as possible to depict this epic road trip through video filming.
???? The purpose of this video is informative and entertainment. Every Sunday starting from 30.12.2018 I will be uploading videos from this road trip.
????If you like the video please ❗share❗ it with your friends! ????

Washington, D.C., formally the District of Columbia and commonly referred to as Washington, the District, or simply D.C., is the capital of the United States. The signing of the Residence Act on July 16, 1790, approved the creation of a capital district located along the Potomac River on the country's East Coast. The U.S. Constitution provided for a federal district under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Congress and the District is therefore not a part of any U.S. state.

Road Trip to White House : Washington DC by Emma Ike Agu , 2016
A few months ago, I took a road trip to the District of Columbia-(Washington DC), to see for the second time, the WHITE HOUSE.
The first time I went to the White House was after my performance at the President Barrack Obama Inaugural ball that I headlined. It was on the eve of Obama's ( the 44th President of the United States of America) inauguration that took place on the 19th of January, 2009.
As I drove through a typical highway in the United States of America, I saw trees, lush-full greenery- lawn that reminds of Owerri, the Capital of Imo State Nigeria, my hometown.
Unlike in our various homeland where Government houses are surrounded by ready -to- kill soldiers, with high fences that make it impossible for the masses to see where their Presidents live, you would not be disappointed if you took a trip to Washington DC to see the White House. Daily, individuals and groups from all over the world gather in front of the WHITE HOUSE to take pictures. The White House is where the world's most famous man, the most admired man, and the world's greatest leader lives. So, take this trip with me, I will show you the road that leads to the most prominent building on earth: THE WHITE HOUSE
I just want to use this drive through to draw your attention that is in this world; there's only one moon, one sun. For you who preach division, secession, the breakup of countries, if the United States of America with over 300 Million people could live together as one nation, nothing stops African countries to live and give peace a chance. Yea, this country may not be all that perfect as those of us in Africa think, after over two hundred years of independence, the greatest country in the world still grapples with tons of issues. I am yet to see a man or woman who today say because the Republic is not working as enshrined in the constitution, let us go our separate ways. With time, African countries will compete with the principal cities in America.
The United State of America has many tribes unknown to million of people around the world. Native American Indian Tribes. the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina and the United Houma Nation of Louisiana. Cherokee Tribe of Northeast Alabama, Ma-Chis Lower Creek Indian Tribe of Alabama, Piqua Shawnee Tribe Star Clan of Muscogee Creeks and the United Cherokee Ani-Yun-Wiya Nation.
These tribes are recognized in Alabama Alaska Arizona Arkansas California Colorado Connecticut Delaware Florida Georgia Hawaii Illinois Idaho Iowa Kansas Kentucky Louisiana Maine Maryland Massachusetts Michigan Minnesota Mississippi Missouri Montana Nebraska Nevada New Hampshire New Jersey New Mexico New York North Carolina North Dakota Ohio Oklahoma Oregon Pennsylvania Rhode Island South Carolina South Dakota Tennessee Texas Utah Vermont Virginia Washington West Virginia Wisconsin Wyoming are living side by side in this huge nation.
If you live in New York ( Regarded as the North Eastern Region) when you travel to these States I just mentioned, U will see a great difference in the way people live their daily lives. Even within The Northeastern United States, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, each drives through you do, you will find people acting in a different style, both the way the speak and socialize.
In The Deep South: Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, and South Carolina, folks who live over there have do not share many things in common with those who live in the North Eastern Region.
The West South Central States: Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas or those who live on the West Coast like, LA, Arizona, Nevada, have their style of doing things. Then think of Hawaii and Alaska, when I visited these two States, I figured I entered another continent.Alaska is a U.S. state situated in the northwest USA and Hawaii, the 50th and most recent U.S. state to join the United States, on August 21, 1959, all have their indigenous cultures.
The strength of this country is not only measured in their population but the diverse nature of all the major units that came together to become the United States of America.
The United States of America has 3.806 million miles.

Washington, D.C. formally the District of Columbia is the capital of the United States of America since July 16, 1790.
The state of Maryland donated land to create what is now known as Washington, D.C.
Virginia had also donated land which was returned to Virgina in 1846.
Washington, D.C. is not in a state but there is a movement for statehood which would have the name of the 51st state as New Columbia.
The United States of America declared independance from Great Britain in 1776.
