TRAVEL VLOG : Saint Petersburg, Russia in one day itinerary
My first trip to Saint Petersburg, I took a night bus from Moscow, I slept on the bus and arrived there around 8am. It was 12 hours trip though! hahah But I didn't really feel that long because i slept so well until the driver woke me up telling that was the last stop. lol Also I was lucky because the weather was good at that day and I started my day with having breakfast somewhere close to the bus station and then I explored the city just on foot because most attraction sites there are just walking distance. I visited only some main attractions and i feel like that's not enough...anyway, I had to fly back to moscow that night because the next day was my flight back to my country. Maybe in future or soon I will be back to Russia and visit saint petersburg again.

St Petersburg Walking Tour : White Nights
My walkabout around midnight in St Petersburg during a summer night of July 2012. The 'White Nights' is a popular draw for tourists and the local Russians. The bright midnight sky ended the long months of bitter cold and long Dark Nights. Not only the scenery of the historical buildings and monuments, you could also witness the draw of the bridges that span River Neva.

Amazing White Nights in St.Petersburg
The White Nights (Beliye Nochi) are a curious phenomenon caused by St. Petersburg's very northerly geographical location - at 59 degrees 57' North .
St. Petersburg is the world's most northern city with a population over 1 million, and it stands at such a high latitude that the sun does not descend below the horizon enough for the sky to grow dark.

This stop will give you a chance to take pictures of the Winter Palace and other buildings of the Hermitage Museum, as well as the St. Peter and Paul Fortress situated right across the river. The tour continues inside the fortress. Once inside the cathedral, admire the beauty of its marble columns, glittering chandeliers, and painted decor combined with carved and gilded iconostasis, create a magnificent setting for the tombs of the Romanov monarchs. After your guided tour of the St. Peter and Paul Cathedral and Fortress grounds, you'll continue on a drive along the embankments of the Neva River. A photo stop will be made at St. Isaac's Cathedral. Your tour ends at St. Isaac's Square, from where your coach will take you back to the pier.
Day 1 Evening: Later in the evening you'll be taken to the concert hall to enjoy a Russian Folkloric performance. Get acquainted with the fascinating songs and dances from the nations inhabiting Russia, and the republics of the former Soviet Union. You'll be offered Russian Champagne and mineral water. Day 2: Take a short drive to Peterhof, the town of palaces, fountains and parks, built by Peter the Great to rival Versailles. It lies on the southern shore of the Gulf of Finland, 22 miles west of St. Petersburg. After a short walk from the parking lot you'll reach the main entrance of the Grand Palace. Built in the beginning of the 18th century, Peterhof is known as the most brilliant of all the summer residences of the Russian Tsars. The estate construction spanned two centuries, and upon its completion it encompassed seven parks and more than 20 smaller palaces and pavilions. Peter himself designed the layout of the 300 acre park and spectacular fountains.

Peter the Great presented this estate to his wife Catherine in 1710. It was used as the summer residence of the Royal Family. Its grandiose, white-and-gold facade stretches 978 feet. Weiße Nächte in Sankt Petersburg - Russland
