LA Travel Guide - Wild Country Safari Park
Louisiana Travel Guide goes to Wild Country Safari Park in Delhi LA! Not very far from the Delhi LA exit on I20 at 8 Hobby Newton Rd Delhi LA you will find one of the wildest petting zoos around. The experience is a real good time and is very reasonably priced entertainment. Each trip around the parks 2 mile trail will likely show you a different set of animals or at least something you didn't see on the last go around. Make sure you call 318-878-3634 or check out their website for their hours and days of operation before you head out. I wouldn't visit on a rainy day but anything else is likely a great time for 1 or a large group alike. You don't have to take your own vehicle into the park but you can! You can just wait for one of the scheduled bus tours and hop on-board with them.
Town of Delhi Louisiana
Delhi, originally called Deerfield, is a town in Richland Parish, Louisiana, in the United States.
It is also the town to go pass if you are travelling to the Poverty point World Heritage site and the reservoir.
Poverty Point: World Heritage Sight, Golf, & Wildlife Parks in Northeast LA
Charles Marsala of AWE News interviews Mike Vallery of Poverty Point Reservoir State Park & Black Bear Golf Coarse in Delhi, Louisiana. He also stops by to see Debbie at the Wild Country Safari Park which is just down the road from the Poverty Point World Heritage sight in Epps, one of only 23 World Heritage Sights in the world.
Northeast Louisiana holds a wealth of treasures and attractions not normally publicized, like the Fiske Theatre in Oak Grove or the Louisiana State Cotton Museum in Lake Providence. As well as a host of excellent State Parks such as Tensas National Park where you get away from the hustle and bustle of the city to fish, relax and just enjoy life.

Extreme Saltwater Fishing!
You may live your life and never see anything like this! The entire Sebastian inlet was filled with pinfish. The tarpon, redfish and snook were so thick you could walk on them. We took a piece of stingray out for shark bait. While Josh was taking photos with the red, the Avet 80 started screaming! Jeff fought the shark and eventually the line broke. Jeff caught a two redfish (only one is shown in this video) and I caught a 44 redfish. This was an amazing sight to see! Jahorace Epps helped film this video.
SHARK SETUP:
Bait Used --- Stingray
Hooks --- 18/0 Lindgren Pitman Circle Hook
Leader --- 6ft of #19 wire
Swivels --- 500lb Rosco Crane Swivel
Reel --- Avet 80
Line --- 200lb mono topshot with 130lb Diamond Momoi braid backing.
Rod --- Custom Barrett Rod
For the redfish we were using live pinfish.

SUMMARY
=======
Louisiana is a state in the Deep South region of the southeastern United States. It is the 31st most extensive and the 25th most populous of the 50 United States. Louisiana is bordered by Arkansas to the north, Mississippi to the east, the Gulf of Mexico to the south, and the state of Texas to the west. A large part of its eastern boundary is demarcated by the Mississippi River. Louisiana is the only U.S. state with political subdivisions termed parishes, which are equivalent to counties. The state's capital is Baton Rouge, and its largest city is New Orleans.
Much of the state's lands were formed from sediment washed down the Mississippi River, leaving enormous deltas and vast areas of coastal marsh and swamp. These contain a rich southern biota; typical examples include birds such as ibis and egrets. There are also many species of tree frogs, and fish such as sturgeon and paddlefish. In more elevated areas, fire is a natural process in the landscape, and has produced extensive areas of longleaf pine forest and wet savannas. These support an exceptionally large number of plant species, including many species of terrestrial orchids and carnivorous plants. Louisiana has more Native American tribes than any other southern state, including four that are federally recognized, ten that are state recognized, and four that have not received recognition. Some Louisiana urban environments have a multicultural, multilingual heritage, being so strongly influenced by a mixture of 18th-century French, Haitian, Spanish, Native American, and African cultures that they are considered to be exceptional in the US. Before the American purchase of the territory in 1803, present-day Louisiana State had been both a French colony and for a brief period a Spanish one. In addition, colonists imported numerous African people as slaves in the 18th century. Many came from peoples of the same region of West Africa, thus concentrating their culture. In the post-Civil War environment, Anglo-Americans increased the pressure for Anglicization, and in 1921, English was for a time made the sole language of instruction in Louisiana schools before a policy of multilingualism was revived in 1974. There has never been an official language in Louisiana, and the state constitution enumerates the right of the people to preserve, foster, and promote their respective historic, lingu ...

There has never been an official language in Louisiana, and the state constitution enumerates the right of the people to preserve, foster, and promote their respective historic, linguistic, and cultural origins.

Greensboro ( (listen); formerly Greensborough) is a city in the U.S. state of North Carolina. It is the 3rd-most populous city in North Carolina, the 68th-most populous city in the United States, and the county seat and largest city in Guilford County and the surrounding Piedmont Triad metropolitan region. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 269,666, and in 2015 the estimated population was 285,342. In 1808, Greensborough (the spelling before 1895) was planned around a central courthouse square to succeed Guilford Court House as the county seat. The county courts were thus placed closer to the geographical center of the county, a location more easily reached at the time by the majority of the county's citizens, who depended on horse and foot for travel.
In 2003, the previous Greensboro – Winston-Salem – High Point metropolitan statistical area (MSA) was re-defined by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget. This region was separated into the Greensboro–High Point MSA and the Winston-Salem MSA. The 2010 population for the Greensboro–High Point MSA was 723,801. The combined statistical area (CSA) of Greensboro–Winston-Salem–High Point, popularly referred to as the Piedmont Triad, had a population of 1,599,477.
