He was able to pull off the surprise 11,000 miles away from home. One that his mother, a school resource officer, will never forget.
Army Specialist Shakir Aquill hasn't seen his mom, Officer L.J. Williamson, in almost two years.
Aquill knew he'd only be home for 21 days following a tour in South Korea, so the 2016 Westlake High School graduate wanted to make it special.

Burning down the house: Texas family burn down luxury home that hangs over 75ft cliff
Subscribe to ITN News:
A Texas couple burned down their vacant luxury home teetering on top of a crumbling 75ft cliff on Friday. Denise and Rob Webb evacuated from their $700,000 home just two weeks ago as chucks of the property were tumbling into the water. Geologists inspected the property and assured the family that the ground was perfectly solid back in 2012. But in April they started to notice shifts and cracks in the soil. They have now decided to burn down the house as they fear people below could be crushed by debris. Report by Sarah Kerr.
