Exploring Bento Gonçalves, Brazil | Road Trip | South America
Hi Guys,
In this video we spend 4 days in Bento Gonçalves in the South of Brazil. We hired a private driver and went on a 6 hour daily tour of local wineries.
Bento is an old town dating back to 1875 when it was founded by the Italians and other Europeans. They worked hard to establish business, farms and as time went on they had started to gain momentum selling their wine and now it's the main region for wine growing in Brasil.
The most popular grape that is grown in Bento is Merlot, it seams to do very well there and they are able to produce good wine from it.
Each day we visit 3-5 wineries and some restaurants which will not be shown in this video. We highly recommend adding Bento to your list of places to visit when you are in Brazil. In fact, this place is so popular that during our say the Brazilian president and other South American president's were in the city for meetings and of course wine tastings!
