Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library is an American estate and museum in Winterthur, Delaware. As of 2011, it houses one of the most important collections of Americana in the United States of America. It was the former home of Henry Francis du Pont, a renowned antiques collector and horticulturist.

Neymours Estate Delaware | American Versailles
A quick visit to a DuPont estate, Neymours in Wilmington, Delaware. Neymours was home to A. I. Dupont, a 47,000 square foot mansion with amazing fountains, gardens and gold statues. It felt like a mini Versailles. It is also incredible how few people go there. When I went there were only 115 visitors all day (on 300 acres!) I only saw maybe 15 people, it felt like my private grounds.

Holidays at Hagley - Step Back In Time For A Vintage Christmas
The trees are trimmed, the children's toys and gifts are wrapped and the table is elegantly set for a holiday meal- Holidays at Hagley has begun!
Twilight Tours offer the rare opportunity to see Eleutherian Mills dressed for the holidays and illuminated with softly glowing lights. Lace, fresh greenery, poinsettias, and dried flower arrangements adorn vintage holiday displays throughout the residence.
Tours begin at 4:30 p.m. and depart every half hour until 7 p.m. Space on tours is limited and reservations are required. Call (302) 658-2400, ext. 261.

Black Powder and the DuPont Family Home - Hagley Museum & Library - Wilmington, Delaware
The beautiful home of the DuPont Family and the amazing living history museum and library surrounding the mansion made for a fun day of exploring in Delaware. The kids learned all about black powder, steam engines, mills, and simple machines while touring the property. The amazing staff provided demonstrations and tours and answered all of our questions as we moved from one area to the next. A handy bus carried us around the property. We loved our time exploring here and were impressed with all there was to see and do!
