Kankakee Sands Project - BISON!
Kankakee Sands is a large nature preserve along the Indiana/Illinois border that protects prairie, savanna, and wetlands. Recently, the Nature Conservancy of Indiana reintroduced Bison to the preserve, which once roamed these lands in the millions before the U.S. Army slaughtered most of them in an effort to cutoff the lifeline of Native Americans in the 1870s. There are farmed bison in the Hoosier state, as well as small herds at Wolf Park (Battle Ground, IN) and at Ouabache State Park. This new population are purebred and while they can't completely roam free like their cousins in Yellowstone, they do have a few thousand acres of prairie all to themselves.

But theaters are able to keep over 80% of concessions revenue as profit. So most theaters are designed to get you to spend money on food. And it works, AMC reports that more than 71% of attendees spend money on concessions.

Golden eagle attacks and kills deer

Eagles have been known to attack smaller birds, snakes and mammals but it is rare for such an incident to be caught on camera. The Zoological Society of London has released three photographs of a massive golden eagle digging its claws into a sika deer's back, and the pictures have become an online sensation. The rare attack happened in Russia's far east, and the young, but large deer was actually killed by the bird of prey. The proof of that came in the form of a fourth photo, snapped by remote cameras two weeks later.
The deer's mangled carcass was spotted by a researcher as she approached the camera trap to switch the memory cards and change the batteries. The fact that there were no tracks leading up to the dead deer prompted scientists to check the cameras, and that is when they saw the eagle attack. The traps were originally set up in the Lazovsky Nature Reserve to monitor Siberian tigers. Golden eagles do not often attack deer in the wild, which adds even more scientific value to the photos. Is Islamic State changing tactics?
Tourists are fleeing Tunisia after a gunman shot dead at least 39 people dead on a resort beach.
Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack.
There were also killings in France and Kuwait, showing the militants starting to attack external targets rather than solely focusing on fighting for land in Iraq and Syria.
So does this suggest a change in Islamic State tactics?
Otago University international relations expert Robert Patman joined Paul Henry this morning.
It's a refinement of tactics that has been adopted. Last year ISIS publicly advocated what they call lone wolf attacks on the United States, France and its allies. They have decided to take the battle from the Middle East into the backyards of the countries in the West. They are trying intimidate the citizens and governments of the Western world.
