Ancient Taoist Wong Tai Sin Temple is a perfect escape from the rumbling cities. Every morning a group of foreign exchange participants of Jinhua Homestay Project practiced Tai Chi Sword lessons on the grounds of the historical temple. It offers not only a place for thinking and philosophy, but much more.

Colours of new CHINA WU OPERA building in Jinhua Zhejiang 2

On the peninsula formed by the confluence of the WuYi and the YiWu River that separate the northern and the southern City center of Jinhua Zhejiang highlights the new CHINA WU OPERA building that houses the traditional WU Opera stage constructed inside the Yanweizhou Wetland Park.
From northern Wuzhou Riverside Park and from the southern Jinhua City it can be reached over the colourful tortuous Rainbow- or Dragon-Pedestrian-Bridge. During the evening hours the new Jinhua Opera is amazingly illuminated by a colourful light play that fulfills with life the whole riverside and wetland area.

谢谢！本报讯项刚、记者罗正然报道：5月10日，海军工程大学与浙江省金华市第一中学、浦江中学等6所中学签订共建生源基地协议。记者了解到，通过浙江省军区这两年牵线搭桥，截至目前，已有海军工程大学、信息工程大学等5所军校在浙江省26所中学挂牌建立生源基地，此举实现军队选拔优秀人才和中学推进国防教育的合作双赢。当记者赶到金华市第一中学时，离双方签订生源基地协议仪式开始还有近半小时，只见金华军分区官兵向陆续走进会场的师生发放海军工程大学招生宣传册。海军工程大学以建设一流海军院校、培育一流军事人才为目标，经过70年建设，目前已拥有2个全国重点学科、2个国家级重点实验室、6个军队重点实验室等科研学术中心，其优质学科资源和优良办学条件让金华一中的同学十分羡慕。一直以来，因为军校的特殊性，高考学子想报考军校但又难以全面了解它的真实情况。浙江省军区战备建设局参谋吴俊对此感同身受。当时他报考军校时，只能通过有限的信息渠道，知晓学校一些简单的情况，对学科设置、师资力量、教学风格等详细情况则不甚了解，只是到了学校上课后才知道自己学的啥、毕业后去干啥，个别同学因事先对军校了解不多、入校后出现“水土不服”的现象。为让高中学子更多了解军校，为强军事业吸引更多优秀人才，从去年初开始，浙江省军区派出多个工作组分别与军校和中学对接，洽谈军校在中学建立生源基地事宜，深化彼此间沟通交流，此举得到双方积极响应。最终，浙江省军区选择办学理念先进、师资力量雄厚、每年高考升学率位于浙江省前列的中学作为军校生源基地，为高中学子叩开军校之门，让更多优秀人才到军校深造搭建了信息交流平台。签约仪式现场，当金华一中领导从海军工程大学领导手中接过“中国人民解放军海军工程大学生源基地”金色牌匾时，学生们自发起立报以热烈掌声。青春学子追逐梦想，火热军营敞开怀抱。海军工程大学领导面对面向学子介绍军校情况，对学子提出的疑问现场解答。海军工程大学领导告诉记者，通过与学生零距离交流，高考学生填报志愿时也能根据军校特点、自身所长作最大程度的耦合对接，军事院校对学生的思想情况和能力素质也能预先有所了解。学生考上军校后，既可以尽快完成角色转变，也有利军事院校开展针对性教育。签订合作协议的军校与生源基地学校秉持“密切联系、共同培养、合作共赢、建设国防”的原则，分别履行相应义务，比如：军校要向生源基地学校寄送招生宣传资料，选派人员协助开展国防教育和指导军事训练，把部分教学场所作为生源基地学校爱国主义教育基地，并定期将考入军校的学生情况反馈给生源基地学校；被选为生源基地学校的中学要向军校推荐优秀考生、指导优秀毕业生填写《招生推荐表》，向军校提供考生基本信息及在校表现，选派教师和学生参加军校的校庆日、校园开放日等活动。记者了解到，去年签订生源基地协议的中学，报考军校的比例比其他学校明显要高，同时被选为生源基地学校的中学国防教育也开展得有声有色、丰富多彩。

With a history spanning more than four centuries, Wu Opera originated in Wuzhou, now Jinhua, in eastern China’s Zhejiang Province. While artists from Anhui Province travelled north to perform in Beijing in the late eighteenth century and laid the foundation for Peking Opera, Wu Opera represented another branch of the same root, which had travelled eastward two centuries earlier.
Founded in 1956, the Zhejiang Wu Opera Troupe has both revived traditional works and created new works. The troupe’s performances represent a synthesis of music, dance, and acrobatics. The troupe has performed in Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Cuba, France, Germany, Japan, Romania, Singapore, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam.
