These items: Rocking Chair, Pitchfork, Wind Chime, Golf Tee, Mailbox, Wooden Shoes, Knitting Needles, and a Crochet Hook. The town continues their mission of adding large items with plans to construct the largest Teeter-Totter. Come along with us!
Parking: Street parking. Most of the items are within walking distance and in the Main Street square. The Token Coin and Pitchfork are off the main drag, so you will need to drive to these items.
Worth a Visit: YES! Casey is such a cute little town. We love spending time in small towns because it is so different than the life we are used to. The Guinness certified items are larger than life! 6 Guinness World Record Attempts In Casey, IL. - More Big Things In A Small Town + Teeter Totter
6 Guinness World Record Attempts In Casey, IL. - More Big Things In A Small Town + Teeter Totter!
Casey, Illinois, is no stranger to setting Guinness World Records! The town is home to the World's Largest Rocking Chair and World's Largest Wind Chimes, along with several other big things. These Big Things In A Small Town have attracted a lot of interest and tourism, and the people of Casey aren't finished adding new big things to their list.
Thanks to some new items created by Jim Bolin and his crew from Bolin Enterprises, the Guinness World Records organization sent Adjudicator Mike Marcotte to Casey, Illinois on Saturday, September 28, 2019. Mr. Marcotte's mission was to measure and judge whether these six new things would qualify as the World's Largest of their kind. It was an exciting day for the town of approximately 2,700 people, and several residents, out-of-towners, and members of the media turned out to witness the proceedings.
What Mike Marcotte had to judge were these six, hopefully world's largest, big things that Jim Bolin had crafted: teeter totter, barber pole, golf club, key, swizzle spoon, and gavel. Did all six of the items achieve World's Largest status with Guinnes World Records? Maybe, but to find out for sure, please watch the video!

Front Yard Color
August 12, 2018
Southern Gardening has been here from the beginning highlighting Producer Tim’s mailbox garden. Let’s take a look at what he’s growing this year. Some of my favorites are the coneflowers in this bed. These tall stems display the two to four inch blooms of bright purple petals and orange-ish center cones. These have been reliable perennials for Tim. I’ve always loved the bright flowers of Shasta daisies. The bright white petals and cheery yellow center cones are held high on the ends of 24 to 36 inch stems. A plant that I’m also growing is Rockin’ Deep Purple salvia. I love the color contrast between the deep dark purple flowers and black calyx and stems. I’m impressed with the accidental combination of the Indian Summer rudbeckia and bright Redhead and rusty Colorblaze coleus. Melampodium Million Gold profusely produces one half inch golden yellow flowers in hot and humid Mississippi. These easy to grow plants make fantastic border plant, especially with the spreading coleus randomly poking out. And to top off the planting the Cranberry Crush hardy hibiscus is the perfect accent. The huge seven to eight inch red blooms are stunning. But this year the garden doesn’t stop at the mailbox. In a planter near the house there’s a cascading mass planting of Vista Bubblegum and Vista Silverberry Supertunias. Having a mix of perennials and adding a variety of colorful annuals is key to keeping your planting bed, like this mailbox bed, looking good year after year. I’m horticulturist Gary Bachman and I’ll see you next time on Southern Gardening.
The Flintstones 1960 - 1966 Opening and Closing Theme (With Snippet)
Loads more TV Themes at:
The Flintstones is an animated, prime-time American television sitcom that was broadcast from September 30, 1960 to April 1, 1966 on ABC. The show was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.
The Flintstones was about a working-class Stone Age man's life with his family and his next-door neighbour and best friend. The show's continuing popularity rested heavily on its juxtaposition of modern everyday concerns in the Stone Age setting.
The show is set in the Stone Age town of Bedrock. (In some of the earlier episodes, it was also referred to as Rockville.) In this fantasy version of the past, dinosaurs, saber-toothed tigers, woolly mammoths, and other long-extinct animals co-exist with cavemen.
Like their mid-20th century counterparts, these cavemen listen to records, live in split-level homes, and eat out at restaurants, yet their technology is made entirely from pre-industrial materials and largely powered through the use of animals. For example, the cars are made out of stone, wood, and animal skins, and powered by the passengers' feet (as in the theme song, Through the courtesy of Fred's two feet).
