Logan Xavier and JK Wade meet Santa and Mrs. Claus at The World Golf Hall of Fame
Santa Claus, also known as Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas and simply Santa, is a figure with legendary, mythical, historical and folkloric origins who, in many western cultures, brings gifts to the homes of the good children during the late evening and overnight hours of Christmas Eve, December 24.[1] The modern figure was derived from the Dutch figure of Sinterklaas,[2] which, in turn, may have part of its basis in hagiographical tales concerning the historical figure of gift giver Saint Nicholas. A nearly identical story is attributed by Greek and Byzantine folklore to Basil of Caesarea. Basil's feast day on January 1 is considered the time of exchanging gifts in Greece.
Santa Claus is generally depicted as a portly, joyous, white-bearded man - sometimes with spectacles - wearing a red coat with white collar and cuffs, white-cuffed red trousers, and black leather belt and boots (images of him rarely have a beard with no moustache). This image became popular in the United States and Canada in the 19th century due to the significant influence of Clement Clarke Moore's 1823 poem A Visit From St. Nicholas and of caricaturist and political cartoonist Thomas Nast.[3][4][5] This image has been maintained and reinforced through song, radio, television, children's books and films.
According to a tradition which can be traced to the 1820s, Santa Claus lives at the North Pole, with a large number of magical elves, and nine (originally eight) flying reindeer. Since the 20th century, in an idea popularized by the 1934 song Santa Claus Is Coming to Town, Santa Claus has been believed to make a list of children throughout the world, categorizing them according to their behavior (naughty or nice) and to deliver presents, including toys, and candy to all of the well-behaved children in the world, and sometimes coal to the naughty children, on the single night of Christmas Eve. He accomplishes this feat with the aid of the elves who make the toys in the workshop and the reindeer who pull his sleigh.[6][7]

Places to see in ( St. Augustine - USA )
St. Augustine is a city on the northeast coast of Florida. It lays claim to being the oldest city in the U.S., and is known for its Spanish colonial architecture as well as Atlantic Ocean beaches like sandy St. Augustine Beach and tranquil Crescent Beach. Anastasia State Park is a protected wildlife sanctuary. The Castillo de San Marcos is a 17th-century Spanish stone fortress with views of the St. Augustine Inlet.
St Augustine is a small jewel of a city on the east coast, full of romantic ambiance and old world charm. It is best known for its remarkable historic streets, Spanish style architecture, and panoramic bay. Do take time to wander down St. George street, a promenade of sorts, and enjoy the art galleries, quaint shops, and restaurants.
St. Augustine is best known as the oldest European settlement in the United States. Spanish explorer, Juan Ponce de Leon, claimed the land now known as Florida in the name of Spain on March 27, 1513. Originally the land was named La Florida, which means Land of Flowers. The city was founded by Spanish explorer Pedro Menendez de Aviles in 1565. What makes St Augustine so genuinely endearing is the accessibility of its rich history via countless top-notch museums and the authenticity of its centuries-old architecture, monuments and narrow cobbled lanes. Unlike Florida's numerous historical theme parks, St Augustine is the real deal.

5th of Dec 2015 Golf at Marsh Creek Country Club in St Augustine
Warning... this is just about me playing golf on one of the most challenging courses I have ever played, and is more about me being able to recall and remember the experience than being entertaining viewing unless you are a golf fanatic like me, so if you are not, then don't bother...if you are , then I hope you enjoy.
With my upcoming game at TPC Sawgrass the next day I was looking for a challenging course to play to get me in the swing for the big game. I rang up the Pro shop at Marsh Creek at St Augustine, a private members club and they were very nice enough to let me play there the day before Sawgrass. The slope rating off the blue tees was 140, i.e. if you missed the fairway a double bogey was a good result. It was raining pretty much for the first 6 holes which made it even harder, and the wind at around 20mph was a big factor too so 88 gross was a good result really. It is a great course and I am so thankful to the assistant pro Dan Bush for allowing me the opportunity to play there. It was one of the best and most challenging courses I have played in the USA so far. They had the club championship finishing there that morning so the greens were in tip top condition. I played the course alone so had to rely on my GPS and iPhone app to work the course out, so would have made a few better club choices given some local knowledge but that was part of the challenge too. Loved the course, paid the penalty a few times but that is golf, it is not meant to be easy.. haha....
