Hijacker rental cars impounded, authorities search Chestnut Hill Motel & Westin Hotel in Boston

broadcast on CBS WSBK WBZ 4 at 5:20 p.m. on September 13th 2001

Beth Germano reports that hijackers Left Behind carelessly enough evidence for authorities to begin identify them and what Ashcroft's account at the time was for 18 hijackers and also claiming that there were only 4 hijackers on flight 77 that hit the Pentagon. and that some of the hijackers entered the United States on ferries out of Nova Scotia, at the Halifax Airport a rental car was impounded, in Portland Maine authorities say at least two of the hijackers got on a United Airways shuttle to Boston and it's believed that they stayed one night at a South Portland Motel, another car was seized at the airport, and that authorities stormed into Westin hotel room in Boston and detained suspects that had a trail of credit card receipts that lead to a hijacker and were later released and had also the same last name as Mohamed Atta, and that Massachusetts State Police surrounded the Chestnut Hill Hotel in search of more hijacker trails, and that John O'neill was still missing from the WTC.

American Airlines Flight 11 was a domestic passenger flight that was hijacked by five al-Qaeda members on September 11, 2001, as part of the September 11 attacks. It crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City, killing all 92 people aboard and an unknown number in the building's impact zone.

On September 11, 2001, the Boeing 767-200 operating the route was hijacked by five al-Qaeda terrorists and flown into the South Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City, killing all 65 people aboard and an unconfirmed number in the building's impact zone.
