Wuhou Memorial Temple and Jinli Street - Chengdu
Wuhou Memorial Temple is dedicated to Zhuge Liang, the Martial Marquis of Shu in the Three Kingdoms. Adjacent to the temple and gardens is Jinli Street where you will find lots of quaint cafes and shops for you to browse around. A word of warning, the souvenir shops and restaurants along Jinli Street are surprisingly expensive, so ask how much before you buy.

Wu Hou Shrine (Memorial Temple of Marquis Wu)
Wu Hou Shrine (Memorial Temple of Marquis Wu) was built to commemorate Zhuge Liang, the prime minister of the Shu Kingdom during the Three Kingdoms Period. He assisted Liu Bei to found the Shu Kingdom. After Liu Bei's death, he launched five north expeditions in hope of destroying the Wei Kingdom. Unfortunately, he didn't succeed but died in August of 234 AD.
In 223 AD., Liu Bei died at the White Emperor City and was buried at Hui Mausoleum in Chengdu. Later, Wu Hou Shrine was built beside Liu Bei's Tomb.

Chengdu- Jinli Street & Wuhou Temple
Jinli St is a historic street filled with souvenir shops and snack food vendors, but it still has a nice vibe. Next door is Wu Hou Temple, a place for remembering/revering some of the famous historical figures who made a difference in Chengdu's past, especially Liu Bei, who among other things, designed an irrigation/flood protection project that protected Chengdu and allowed it to thrive.
